“Jason was attentive and attuned to Fennel and sent us lots of pictures across his extended weekend stay. He has a lovely house and wonderful large fenced yard for the pups to play in. We’d board Fennel again with him next time we fly out of Newark!”

“Steven and his family have taken very good care of our dog and provided updates everyday with pictures. We highly recommend Steven and will definitely use their services again.”

“Chandar was absolutely fantastic. This was our first experience leaving our dog, and Chandar did everything we asked plus more. He gave us updates twice a day and photos of our dog throughout the day. From the photos and the feedback from Chandar, you know that your dog feels at home, calm and cared for. Our dog ate, slept well and got walked twice a day. Chandar went above and beyond in every element possible. Thanks Chandar we look forward to traveling again in the future with a stay again with you.”

“Wendy and Dan took wonderful care of my Ivy! They kept me updated with messages and pictures while I was on my trip. They were so loving and patient with her. I will definitely have Ivy stay with them when I travel!”

“Noria was fantastic with my dog Nala. She boarded her in her home and made sure Nala had lots of fun and was well cared for. Norias love for animals shows through in all she does while caring for my puppy. Noria is very enthusiastic, warm and caring. I would highly recommend her services.”

“Daniel was great with both of my dogs Lots of pictures and has the perfect approach for handling dogs. Property is impressive with a lot of room for our dogs to roam”

“Ryan was overall easy going and a true dog lover from how he interacted with Abu from the very beginning. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing Abu was with great company. From the conversations and picture I know my pup was in great hand, definitely will be contacting ryan for any future assistance with Abu. My pup came back tired from playing outside and full of energy so I know he was in a loving home with great pups too. From the very beginning I knew Ryan was a perfect fit for Abu and his needs.”

“Jazmine (and her boyfriend Norman) took wonderful care of our 12-year-old black Lab, Judy, who is a cancer survivor and a bit particular—sweet, but needy and not a fan of other dogs. Jazmine cared for her in her home, made sure she had her morning medicine, and sent us daily updates with snuggle photos that made us feel completely at ease. Judy was clearly loved and beautifully looked after. Warm, professional, and trustworthy—highly recommend.”

“CiCi loved her time with Ryan! Ryan was able to celebrate CiCi’s favorite day w/her…Pizza Crust Friday! Ryan is very flexible with drop-off/pick-up times and was even able to feed CiCi her last breakfast when I mistakenly fell short of CiCi’s packed food supply. Thank you Ryan for providing a backup food plan!”
About: I grew up in farm and ranch country caring for horses, cows, goats, cats and lots of dogs, so animal care has been part of my everyday life for as long as I can remember. Dogs are my favorite. I'm experienced with big, high-energy breeds like Bernese Mountain Dogs and German Shepherds, and I'm just as comfortable with small dogs. I have three of my own: Willie (a Dachshund), Shelby (an Australian Shepherd) and Reba (a Cavapoo). I love the outdoors, so your dog gets real exercise, like morning hikes at Nockamixon, Ralph Stover and the Delaware Canal towpath. You'll get photo and video updates every day. I'm home all day Fridays and most Thursdays. On days I work, your dog gets a long morning walk or hike before I leave and is rarely alone. They can come with me to my dog-friendly workplace, or my mom is often home to give potty breaks and company. Evenings are for walks, play and couch time with the pack. I'm happy to work around your schedule for drop-offs and pickups. Your dog stays in my home on just over two acres in quiet, rural Ottsville. The property isn't fenced, so guest dogs are always on leash or a long line outside, with plenty of room to sniff and explore safely. My three dogs are friendly and social, and every stay starts with a meet-and-greet so I can make sure everyone gets along. I follow your feeding and medication routine exactly, every dog has its own cozy space to rest, and I can crate if your dog is crate-trained.
“Our Layla loves being taken care of by Kerri and Harry! They treat Layla like one of their own and follow all of our care instructions. It is always evident that Layla had a good time when we pick her up. We can not recommend Kerri and Harry enough!”

“Elaine was great with my fur baby. She has great communication and we felt very safe leaving him overnight. We will definitely use her again after we return from FL in the spring.”

“Thank you so much So apprecia All the love and care you and the family gave Lana and all the pictures of her enjoying being there ! Lana can't wait to visit again You made her and us feel so comfortable having her be with you !!”

“Rosanna and her boys were wonderful. Super easy to work with and very flexible with pick up and drop off. Our Marty made some new friends and took plenty of walks. We received daily pictures and over all Marty seemed happy and well taken care of. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We left our boy for the first time away from home and that too for a whole month. Kim was the best. She kept us updated everyday with photos and videos on how our boy was faring. Best dog boarding anybody could ask for.”

“Phenomenal dog sitter. I boarded my two dogs with Jeffrey for Christmas week. He provided updates and pictures each day in a consistent and clear manner. He took great care of my dogs, and my dogs always have fun with Jeffrey's dog, Lily. I will continue to hire Jeffrey as my main dog sitter for as long as possible.”

“This was Bella's first stay with Angela, and it appeared that both were having a great time, so we ended up extending it by a few days. Angela clearly loves dogs and is very attentive to details. She has 3 small dogs of her own and her place is a great doggie resort, with a nice fenced-in back yard and a lovely deck that is safe for them to play around. The only problem I had to deal with Bella was the readjustment to the daily grind back home. We are booking a second vacation for Bella at Angela's next month.”

“We use Kadie for an overnight stay for our dog. She was very kind and sweet. The neighborhood was very nice and Secure seemed and our dog seemed happy when we picked him up the next day I would highly recommend her.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Erwinna home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Erwinna.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Erwinna sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
