House Sitting in Encanto, San Diego

About: As a registered nurse I cannot commit to being a doggy parent yet, but I sure do love helping other families and their pets. While having strong integrity, I believe my ability to meet animals where they are and respect their quirks makes me an ideal pet sitter. I see that every animal is an individual and would love to adhere to a routine that you set out for them. I am currently taking a short break from nursing and enjoying exploring San Diego. I have open availability until mid-September. Beyond that, I would love to fit pet sitting into my routine and will see if I am able to accomodate that with a new schedule. I typically work 3 12 hrs shift so that does leave some days open. I try to always adhere to the pet's routine and love learning likes and dislikes. I have worked in other's homes before as a home-based therapeutic worker with children and have also done tons of babysitting. I am always easily accessible and leave places better than I find them.

About: Hey! My name is Kim, and I'm excited to work together. A bit about me: My love for pets has always been a big part of my life. I volunteered in an animal shelter where I was in charge of feeding, cleaning, and caring for puppies, adult dogs, kittens, and cats. In addition, my family dog is 17 now and she is my pride and joy. She means everything to me, and I would treat your pet the same :) This passion has also landed me in a career in animal science where I hope to continue my work with more amazing animals. Looking forward to connecting! I am a graduate student in biology at SDSU. I work in a lab M-F from 9-5, however, I am able to leave throughout the day at any time for pet visits and walks. About: I have knowledge in pet care, dog behavior & dog nutrition. I have 6 year experience working with different dog and cat breeds of different age & sizes in a pet kennel, managed a dog camp and also have some experience in dog bathing. I also have experience in caring for other animal breeds ; hamsters, rabbits & some reptiles. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to get to know and spend lots of fun time with your pets and would love to spend my free time together ! I have a friendly cavapoo that can keep your pet company & a “doggy room” in my home that is a converted closet 2 x6 foot secured area that includes a doggy bed. I do also have a toddler in the home so pet must be friendly with children.
