“Bianca did a great job watching our 3 dogs overnight. She did a great job sending pictures, was attentive and provided updates. We will certainly use Bianca again for our dog care needs.”

About: Senior care experience! I've adopted multiple dogs at 10+ yrs old from the local pounds and made sure they had the best senior care experience possible. I currently have 2 dogs, both spayed and absolutely love other dogs. A Corgi (Ruby) who is 9 and a Maltipoo (Joplin) who will be 2 this year. The poo was adopted from a kill shelter in TX (and one before her from the same area as well). We've lost 4 dogs in 2 yrs due to old age, 3 within 6 months. Hard pill to swallow but I love them all and would LOVE to love yours too! I am a stay-at-home dog mom. I have all the time in the world to take care of your babies! Believe me when I say they will come home all tuckered out :) I have a fenced in back yard and 2 VERY friendly dogs to keep your pups very much entertained! In your home (if a dog sitter in home is required) you can expect all of their daily schedules to be fulfilled.

“My first experience with using pet sitter and I can honestly say I had no worries and felt so at ease and was kept informed and pics to reassure all was good!! I highly recommend Tia S and will definitely want to have her again!! Thank you”

“Riley was amazing with our dog last week! She was incredibly attentive and communicative throughout the entire time, sending regular updates and photos. She even offered to stay with our pup during a big storm, even though it wasn’t required. That extra care and thoughtfulness meant so much to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

“Luke is a fantastic Rover. We had Luke sit for our 2 dogs recently, and not only was he great with our dogs, he was incredibly flexible and helpful. We actually had a family medical emergency happen while on vacation, and Luke helped out by extending his stay an extra 4 days. We highly recommend him for sitting.”

About: I have taken care of friends dogs for several years now and have enjoyed it immensely! I've cared for 1-4 dogs at a time, and have had a great time with them. Right now, I've cared for mainly small to medium dogs, but I'm open to bigger dogs too. In addition to dogs, I have many years of experience with cats, fish, chickens, butterflies, and even turtles. I'm always open to variety and love caring for any animal! I am currently a student pilot with a good amount of flexibility in my schedule. I mainly fly in the mornings for a couple hours at a time. I also do babysitting and tutoring on the side but can also work around those. I can be available for overnight stays most nights and I can do a quick drop ins when needed! I am not currently working, mainly picking up smaller side jobs and studying away, so my schedule is very flexible! I do not offer boarding at my own house, but I am completely open to overnights at client's houses when needed. I have stayed at friends and families houses multiple times and my goal is always to leave making sure things look better than when I got there.
“Allyson stayed with our senior dog and cat for 10 days - she kept very well care of them and sent updates with pictures and videos everyday Usually when we leave for a few days our senior dog doesn’t do good - but with Allyson he was well when we got home We will for sure will use her again”

“Gabi did everything we asked her to do, and more! She did such an amazing job taking care of our dog. We knew we could trust her and relax on our trip and she did not disappoint. Would use her again in a heartbeat!”
About: I've had animals my entire life - cats, dogs of all sizes, caged critters, etc. I've provided care for pets of family and friends both inside my home and theirs, and feel comfortable caring for animals with special needs. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and have been grooming my own double-coated dogs for over 10 years and am happy to help with grooming your babies! At this time I am unemployed and have a pretty open schedule to love on your babies! My pups prefer to have me home overnight but otherwise I'm very flexible. My yard is not fenced so potty time is leashed outside, however I do have a fenced patio and large finished basement where my two dogs love to play. I can crate if needed, my boys typically only crate when nobody will be home. Also, I do enjoy giving a good groom- bathing, brushing, ears, nails, and trimming.
About: My household has had dogs for the past 12 years. I have watched dogs for other families while they are away several times over the past 10 years. I work very well with energetic and stubborn breeds. Frequents walks. Almost always home. I am a stay at home mom of older children. I am almost always home, and will ensure a fun and yet peaceful environment. Thank you for your consideration. I do have a fenced in yard that is smaller, and live very close to a dog park if desired. I can seperate our dog on a lower level if there is ever any issues, or space is need.
“Responsive, professional, very accommodating, highly dedicated and most importantly very good with my dog. Even my cat likes her--which is unusual. Best sitter I've had bar none. A lot of the sitters on here just seem to sort of vegetate, but Shannon is very active with the pets and genuinely seems to have a genuine passion for the job. Highly recommend.”

About: I’m always the first to be next to the dog at any event. My love for fur babies started young with family pets, friends pets, and hopefully my own one day. I hold them to a high importance and make sure they’re happy as can be. I’ve been post grad for about a year now, living at home. I’m currently working a full-time job from 7-4. Time away from home is something I do enjoy . Weekends off with an occasional quick serving dinner shift on Saturday, I keep my weekends pretty open. When I’m with fur babies, I enjoy getting to know them, taking care of them like my own, and communicating with their owners like I would a child. Making them happy is top priority while also entertaining myself. Entertaining myself means I will be taking them on walks, playing with them, watching movies with them, cuddles, etc.
“Brooke is amazing! She stayed with our dog and cat while we were out of town, and took great care of them. She definitely has a way with animals- our dog warmed up to her immediately and she never does that with new people! I felt totally comfortable leaving them in her care. Her communication was top notch and she took great care of our home, too. We will be hiring her again in the future. Very highly recommend her!”

About: Ever since I was little, I have taken care of both young and senior animals, dogs and cats. I share love all the same no matter the size, age, or breed. I work full time, 9am-5pm on Monday and Tuesday, then 8am-4pm on Wednesday, friday, and Sunday. I am open to leaving work on my break, which can be taken at any time to feed, play, or let your animals outside. I will utilize the environment in which your pets are in to ensure they have the best and safest time possible, whether that's playing in the yard, walking your furry friends, or just lounging inside.
“Drew was absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our three dogs while we were on vacation. From the moment we connected, he was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. He made sure our dogs were taken out regularly, kept them on their routine, and truly treated them like his own. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Drew stayed overnight each night, which meant the dogs were comfortable and our home was well cared for too. On top of that, he kept the house in excellent condition, honestly, we came back to everything just as we left it (if not better!). He was also very responsive and kept us updated with messages and photos, which we really appreciated while we were away. It’s clear Drew genuinely cares about animals and goes above and beyond for the families he works with. We’re so grateful for the care he provided and would absolutely trust him again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for someone reliable, respectful, and truly great with pets, I highly recommend booking Drew, you won’t regret it!”

About: Animals are so unique. The way they play, eat and sleep, every animals deserves special, intentional care. I love being around animals of all kinds and want to make sure people feel at ease when they’re family need to leave their pets at home. My schedule is relatively consistent. I have availability all day on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays and my week nights are open for pet care as well. In a clients home, I am respectful of their home and their animals. I follow directions and will do what is necessary to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Eldridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Eldridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eldridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eldridge. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
