I recently had the pleasure of having Tia as a pet sitter for my two dogs, Darrow and Ozzy, while I was away for 10 days. From the very beginning, Tia was incredibly professional and attentive. She provided daily pictures and updates, which gave me peace of mind and allowed me to see just how happy and well-cared for my dogs were during my absence. Tia went above and beyond in her care, taking the time to play with Darrow and Ozzy, ensuring they were not only fed, but also entertained and loved. It's clear she has a genuine affection for animals, and it showed in the way she interacted with them. When I returned home, both dogs were in excellent spirits, and it was obvious that they had formed a bond with her. I highly recommend Tia to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Tia, for taking such great care of Darrow and Ozzy!

Riley was amazing with our dog last week! She was incredibly attentive and communicative throughout the entire time, sending regular updates and photos. She even offered to stay with our pup during a big storm, even though it wasn’t required. That extra care and thoughtfulness meant so much to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!

Luke was our Christmas Miracle! Our puppy tore his ACL last minute before our family trip and if Luke hadn’t been willing to house sit and take care of our puppy we would not have been able to see our family this year. He followed our vets strict med schedule and crate rest. Found ways to still give Vinny some cuddle time and manage our other dog to not rile him up. Patiently took him out on the leash to do his business while Vinny was loopy and hobbling even in the rain, dark and cold. He sent pics and updates multiple times a day because he knew I was a nervous mama leaving my sick puppy with a new human. And he left our house clean and tidy. Just could not recommend him more. Amazing!

About: I’m always the first to be next to the dog at any event. My love for fur babies started young with family pets, friends pets, and hopefully my own one day. I hold them to a high importance and make sure they’re happy as can be. I’ve been post grad for about a year now, living at home. I’m currently working a full-time job from 7-4. Time away from home is something I do enjoy . Weekends off with an occasional quick serving dinner shift on Saturday, I keep my weekends pretty open. When I’m with fur babies, I enjoy getting to know them, taking care of them like my own, and communicating with their owners like I would a child. Making them happy is top priority while also entertaining myself. Entertaining myself means I will be taking them on walks, playing with them, watching movies with them, cuddles, etc.

Responsive, professional, very accommodating, highly dedicated and most importantly very good with my dog. Even my cat likes her--which is unusual. Best sitter I've had bar none. A lot of the sitters on here just seem to sort of vegetate, but Shannon is very active with the pets and genuinely seems to have a genuine passion for the job. Highly recommend.

HIRE CHRIS. I won the lottery with him. It was my first time using Rover. I have a special needs rabbit who needed a caretaker after a rabbit boarding service was no longer available. I messaged several sitters and Chris was the first to respond. He is responsive and communicative. What I absolutely love about Chris, among many things, is that he asks questions. Not in a "what do I do" kind of way. Rather, "how do I do this to make sure it's done correctly". My special needs rabbit is on a specialized diet. I left Chris with instructions, which he followed to a tee, but he also sent a photo of the food. (My rabbit is feed very soft, watered down pellets and Critical Care due to recent dental surgery). I'm happy that he did because my rabbit can't chew on pellets. He sent lots of photos of Moo, too. Chris was also flexible with the initial meet 'n' greet appointment and visiting my landlord's office to pick up my front door key (which has to be loaned out). One of the reasons I chose Chris was his close proximity to my apartment. I will 5000% hire Chris again for my rabbit sitting needs. He took great care of my very special needs rabbit and Moo liked him too! I recommend him for your pet sitting needs, including small mammals!

Two very large dogs intent on destroying our home (or so it seemed) and somehow Amanda kept order. We received daily communication and pictures and she cleaned up their destruction. We returned to a surprisingly clean house. Definitely rebooking her.

About: Senior care experience! I've adopted multiple dogs at 10+ yrs old from the local pounds and made sure they had the best senior care experience possible. I currently have 2 dogs, both spayed and absolutely love other dogs. A Corgi (Ruby) who is 9 and a Maltipoo (Joplin) who will be 2 this year. The poo was adopted from a kill shelter in TX (and one before her from the same area as well). We've lost 4 dogs in 2 yrs due to old age, 3 within 6 months. Hard pill to swallow but I love them all and would LOVE to love yours too! I am a stay-at-home dog mom. I have all the time in the world to take care of your babies! Believe me when I say they will come home all tuckered out :) I have a fenced in back yard and 2 VERY friendly dogs to keep your pups very much entertained! In your home (if a dog sitter in home is required) you can expect all of their daily schedules to be fulfilled.

About: I have taken care of friends dogs for several years now and have enjoyed it immensely! I've cared for 1-4 dogs at a time, and have had a great time with them. Right now, I've cared for mainly small to medium dogs, but I'm open to bigger dogs too. In addition to dogs, I have many years of experience with cats, fish, chickens, butterflies, and even turtles. I'm always open to variety and love caring for any animal! I am currently a student pilot with a good amount of flexibility in my schedule. I mainly fly in the mornings for a couple hours at a time. I also do babysitting and tutoring on the side but can also work around those. I can be available for overnight stays most nights and I can do a quick drop ins when needed! I am not currently working, mainly picking up smaller side jobs and studying away, so my schedule is very flexible! I do not offer boarding at my own house, but I am completely open to overnights at client's houses when needed. I have stayed at friends and families houses multiple times and my goal is always to leave making sure things look better than when I got there.

About: My household has had dogs for the past 12 years. I have watched dogs for other families while they are away several times over the past 10 years. I work very well with energetic and stubborn breeds. Frequents walks. Almost always home. I am a stay at home mom of older children. I am almost always home, and will ensure a fun and yet peaceful environment. Thank you for your consideration. I do have a fenced in yard that is smaller, and live very close to a dog park if desired. I can seperate our dog on a lower level if there is ever any issues, or space is need.

About: I’ve always been an animal lover, especially dogs. I’ve had dogs growing up all of my life and thought they bring so much joy to the world. Though they can be a lot of work, the fulfillment they bring is priceless. I have taken care of my own dogs and family friends for about 5 years including taking them on walks, potty training, bathing, and sometimes grooming. I’ve worked with puppies and middle aged dogs from a wide variety of breeds. I will be unavailable for walks and drop ins on M, W, F from 9 am-2pm starting in September I am currently in my gap year between undergrad and law school. My schedule is flexible as I can build walls around my study routine. Pet care can also fit into my routine of daily walks. I currently intern in Davenport so starting August 24 I will be unavailable for drop ins on M, W, F from 9am-2pm. If you have any questions please let me know! When caring for my own or other pets, I like to give them as much attention and care as possible to avoid boredom and loneliness. I usually take my own dogs out to the bathroom or walks every 2 hours. I provide appropriate care depending on the need for the animal.

About: I've had animals my entire life - cats, dogs of all sizes, caged critters, etc. I've provided care for pets of family and friends both inside my home and theirs, and feel comfortable caring for animals with special needs. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and have been grooming my own double-coated dogs for over 10 years and am happy to help with grooming your babies! At this time I am unemployed and have a pretty open schedule to love on your babies! My pups prefer to have me home overnight but otherwise I'm very flexible. My yard is not fenced so potty time is leashed outside, however I do have a fenced patio and large finished basement where my two dogs love to play. I can crate if needed, my boys typically only crate when nobody will be home. Also, I do enjoy giving a good groom- bathing, brushing, ears, nails, and trimming.

FAQs for House Sitting - Park View

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Park View on Rover is $48.84 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 154 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Park View. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Park View walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Park View maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Park View choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Park View. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
