Our puppy tore his ACL last minute before our family trip and if Luke hadn’t been willing to house sit and take care of our puppy we would not have been able to see our family this year. He followed our vets strict med schedule and crate rest. Found ways to still give Vinny some cuddle time and manage our other dog to not rile him up. Patiently took him out on the leash to do his business while Vinny was loopy and hobbling even in the rain, dark and cold. He sent pics and updates multiple times a day because he knew I was a nervous mama leaving my sick puppy with a new human. And he left our house clean and tidy. Just could not recommend him more. About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I used to love looking at animals and playing with them in the store. I wanted to own every pet I am open availability and local! I'm willing to drive a bit but that depends on weather! Easily able to do last minute if you need! Excited to care for your pets! I can easily crate if needed and feed/bathroom breaks/play time for as long or as short as needed. I am readily available to take care of your fur baby as if they're my own!
About: I have a lot of animal experience over the years from having and owning my own pets, and caring for friends and families furbabies. I've helped foster some kittens and cared for animals that are unwell that need close attention. I'm looking to help and be more involved in animal care, as they mean so much to me. Once I start caring for your animal, they're apart of my family too ❤️ My schedule is relatively flexible. I can care and watch for them anytime from 8am-5pm on the dates I have available, I'm willing to do night care but I prefer during the day. Overnight stays are something to be discussed, as each situation is unique. My pets are very spoiled. The ones I live with now were my partners before coming into the relationship, but they quickly stole my heart. Khloe (Akita dog) loves her cheese, butter and chicken, she free roams our yard in colona, and goes on multiple car rides and adventures. I walk her at least twice a week, but she's older and has difficulty keeping up. Kourtney (tabby cat) loves to get pets when it's on her terms, has an rbf, and speaks her mind. She's not mean, doesn't attack others or hiss at people, but she's stands further away to observe more than participate. These two absolutely love each other, and cuddle all the time. About: Having grown up around everything from hedgehogs to mastiffs and either helped or been responsible for their care, I have a lot of practice in many areas of pet caregiving. I have studied dog and cat behavior in particular, and though my specialty is with cats, I am very well-versed in dog communication as well. I also have experience medicating ill or disabled animals in a way that limits stress and maintains a healthy relationship. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so I can shape my schedule to what's best for your pet. My ideal pairing is with night owls like myself, as I tend to sleep in and stay up late. If you're planning a date night, or if you work late and can't check on them, I can fill in those gaps. I believe that a safe and low-stress environment is best accomplished by knowing who I'm working with. If your pet is skittish around new people, I will move calmly and avoid eye contact or unprompted touch. If they want a playmate for when their people are away, I can be exciting and fun! If I need to do anything that may be stressful to your pet, such as bathing them, correcting behavior, or medicating them, I will take extra time to sit with them and let them hear my voice in a nonthreatening context, to bring the relationship back to something more trusting. I do not wear strong scents or talk loudly, and if play gets too out of hand, I know how to calmly but firmly redirect into more acceptable behaviors.
