“Riker had such a good experience with Roy the past 2 days. Roy offered a meet and greet before the Riker’s first stay. After Riker accepted all the pets, and a quick tangent discussion over Ironman helmets, the house was great, lots if space for doggos. Roy sent pics( @home and out on walks) and updates on how Riker was doing. Pickup and drop offs are easy. Neighborhood is great, pet friendly, convenient but secluded community. Roy made the experience seamless, which made really made it stress free for Riker(and Me). Great experience. Definitely highly recommended.”

About: I have cared for dogs for a year. I have work experience and have had pets since I was very young. My family currently has two dogs, aged 10 and 17. I have lived my whole life surrounded by dogs and cats and I love animals. I enjoy taking care of them, giving them love, and receiving their love in return I would love to work part-time with animals because they give me energy and joy, and I believe it’s a great part of the day to enjoy time with them. I am very careful and loving with animals, especially when they belong to someone else. You can feel confident that I will take care of them exactly as you ask, with responsibility and affection. I had my first dog when I was 11, my parents usually works all the time, so most the times is just me and the bichon,and we learned how to take care each other and become best friends. Before she past away, I would take her out to get some sunshine and make sure she have enough sleep.Couple years later i got another husky, very active and energize, but I can handle her very well, never bitten anything or break any furniture in the house. During covid, I got another sheepdoodle, probably the cutest thing on this planet. I think the skill I have is talk to the dogs and share my thoughts with them, I believe when tell them something they would understand and listen. I’m available most the time of the week, I’m currently studying my GRE exam so I have plenty of time. Is usually just me in the apartment so I can be with the dog all the time. I live with my girlfriend and no other pets at home currently, there is a dog park in the apartment complex which I can let them have fun with others. The neighborhood is very quite and friendly, which help the dogs relax.

About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. I'm currently taking a break from teaching, and being a full-time stay-at-home mama to my 2.5 year old daughter. I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and children. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.

About: Our family loves dogs and enjoys dog-sitting for our friends and neighbors. We enjoy taking dogs on walks, playing catch and cuddling with them. I have three kids (ages 8, 10, 11) who LOVE being around dogs. I work from home so it is easy to care for a dog. On the weekends, we are often out and about in our neighborhood. We live on a cul de sac with very little traffic. We have a fenced in backyard. We also have a crate for a medium sized dog.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and worked with animals extensively when working on several different farms as well and woofing! I have cared for dogs cats and farm animals. I volunteered on a goat farm in Oregon where I cared for dogs, cats, chickens, alpacas, bunnies, and many other animals. I volunteered at 2 different turtle conservation organizations in Tulum and Mahahual, Mexico. I also worked at the University of California, Davis Veterinary School of Medicine labs where I studied horse reproduction and got to be around horses. I love being around animals so would love to help out if I can!! I am usually available mornings and evenings during the week! My job is flexible as I am a tennis coach. Weekends are about the same! I don’t have a space in my home but can follow instructions for caring for pets in your home or taking them on walks. Just let me know any special instructions!
