“Carey did a great job taking care of our dog while we were away. She kept us updated on his activities, shared several pictures, and made sure he was well looked after. She also took good care of our home, which we really appreciated. We’d be happy to book her again in the future and would recommend her to others looking for a reliable dog sitter!”

“We are very thankful for Matt house and pet sitting during our vacation. It was a 10 day trip and its good to have peace of mind that someone like Matti is caring for our two pets. Taking out dog Bruno to the dog park was great for a high energy pup. We will definitely book him again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dog for with more than 5 years. I personally have two dogs in the house which are 10 lbs and 30 lbs. I’ve successfully trained 3 puppies in the past 5 years and also fostered before for a rescue. I’ve also been providing boarding service for my friends with at least 6 dogs, pictures are included in my profile. All the dogs will be separated when I’m out, and basic training can be provided if owner requests. I’ve successfully taking care of 5 dogs at one time including two puppies. I’m a recent graduate at UC Davis, and currently WFH all day. I will walk dogs twice a day and give them bathroom break at least 4-5 times every day. I have a fenced yard in the house. All the dogs will be separated when I’m not at home. For safety reasons, dogs will stay in the crate when humans are not around but they can be on furniture once humans are presented.

“Alyssa is great. I can always trust her to take care of my senior chihuahua. If you’re looking for someone reliable and trustworthy with your special doggos, I highly recommend her”

About: I have lots of experience with dogs and cats of all kinds. I’ve had Great Danes for over ten years, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I’ve taken care of pets ranging from energetic kittens and puppies to sweet seniors, and my goal is to work with you and your pet's unique temperament to best meet each pet's individual needs. I'm a law student who primarily attends classes in the mornings from Monday to Thursday. Outside of class, my schedule is flexible. I update my calendar regularly, which will best reflect my exact availability. I will take the utmost care to make sure your pet is comfortable and safe in your home and in my presence. I’m comfortable with crating, feeding, and giving your pet medication if needed. I also understand that some pets take their time to warm up to new people, and in those cases I’ll make sure to take the time to gain your pet’s trust. I have experience walking dogs big and small and I’m happy to work with your dog on leash training as well.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs all my life whether it comes to feeding, training, walking, and playing. I have also recently been taking care of senior dogs. Currently I am on summer break from school so I have a lot of time to be working and helping with furry family members for others. I can do whatever is needed in order to care for your pets as well as follow any detailed instructions you may give me to ensure your pets well-being.

“She was so attentive, kind, and helpful! She checked in many times and provided great photos and updates. My cat really liked her and felt comfortable with her! She did a great job not only caring for my cat but also going above and beyond doing tasks I didn’t ask her to do like cleaning my apartment, which was so thoughtful! She even gave her a little present at the end :) Would definitely recommend!”

“Ashley was wonderful! I highly recommend her. She did such a great job with my little dog. She was timely, trustworthy, a great communicator, and best of all my dog loves her! Thank you, Ashley!”

“Sarah was a wonderful cat sitter for my 10 month old kitten Boots. She looked after him for 2 days and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. She understood the nature of kittens and introduced herself in a way that Boots, who is usually shy, warmed up very quickly to her. She updated me with pictures, videos, and messages of Boots and the games she created for him. Thank you again for the care you gave to my kitten.”

About: I've cared for animals my whole life, and taken great solace in their company. I've been around a lot of working dogs and a lot of apartment cats, and found things to love about all of them. I've even done some pet photography, which is always a fun challenge. I'm between jobs and have an open schedule. I'm happy to move things around for your convenience. I'm always up by 9 and usually home by midnight. I try to give pets who spend their day alone a little bit of extra attention and care. I think it's enriching for both of us!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I have experience owning and caring for dogs since the third grade. I have experience feeding, grooming, bathing, playing, walking, jogging, running, and basic training (sit, stay, down, leave it, paw, high-five, heel, leash training) with dogs and puppies of all ages. I also have experience training my own service dog when I was in undergrad. I also have a bachelor’s in animal science, and have hands on experience with handling dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and hamsters. One thing I do care about is providing quality service to ensure that the pet feels at home meanwhile missing their owners. I’m currently looking for a new job so I have a lot of flexibility with my current schedule. I am available to board Fridays through Sundays. I am available to house sit/pet sit weekdays and weekends. Since I’m currently a student taking online classes and not working, I have flexible availability. I am open to make any accommodations in regards to rescheduling or extending a stay for clients that are able to provide me a 24-48 hour notice. I like to communicate with my clients about any specific needs or concerns that I would need to know as a caretaker. Knowing the personality, age, medical needs, tips and tricks, favorite snacks, and as many details about your pet is valuable information for me. I want to ensure that all needs for the client and the pet is met. I value safety and trust, which I find very important to build in a client-based environment.

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was a kid — I grew up with both cats and dogs, so understanding animal behavior has always come naturally to me. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I work from home, which means I can offer full-time companionship and stay attentive to your pet’s needs throughout the day. Whether it’s a senior pet who needs patience and a slower pace, or a playful pup who needs gentle engagement and stimulation, I’m great at reading their body language and adjusting accordingly. I believe in respecting each pet’s personality and preferences — whether that means active playtime or simply being a calm presence nearby. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their humans are away💕 I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to give your pup the attention, playtime, and care they need throughout the day. I’m available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends. Here’s what a typical day looks like: In the morning, I take them out for a nice walk right after I wake up — usually to the park where they can get some exercise and sniff around. After we get back, it’s breakfast time and a bit of rest. In the afternoon, I usually take a break from work to play games with them — whether it’s fetch indoors or a quick outing if the weather allows (though it’s been pretty hot lately, so I always make sure it’s safe and comfortable). In the early evening, around 7 or 8 when it cools down, we go out again for another walk or potty break. After that, it’s time for dinner and winding down for the night. I always make sure they’re well-exercised, well-fed, and feeling loved before bedtime. In my home, I provide a safe and comfortable environment for pets. I live in a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a large living room, which allows me to accommodate pets in various ways based on their needs. If a dog requires a crate, I can easily set one up in either a bedroom or the living room. If they prefer not to be crated, they have the freedom to roam throughout the entire apartment safely. I ensure the space is clean, secure, and pet-friendly at all times. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their routines and environment, following any specific instructions they provide to maintain consistency and comfort for the pet. Special accommodations can also be made for pets with unique needs. I’m happy to provide a quiet, low-stimulation space for shy cats or anxious animals, extra comfort and support for senior dogs, or a more active and engaging environment for energetic puppies. I tailor my care based on each pet’s personality and preferences to help them feel relaxed and at home.

“Mehma was patient and understanding. The bridge was closed on our way home when she was babysitting Luca. So we were late. Mehma was great about it. Always a smile and a positive attitude.”

Yessel J.

“Yessel is fantastic! Her communication was super and her care for our dog was wonderful-didn’t worry once knowing our puppy was in great hands.”
Alex S.
“Alex grew up with animals in the home and is comfortable with both cats and dogs. She was responsible for walking our two great danes, feeding them, cleaning up after them, and also feeding, nurturing and cleaning up after our cats. She has a keen sense of animal's needs and moods. One of our cats was very moody and she always found herself in Alex's lap as she sensed her calm, caring demeanor. Alex took our second puppy to puppy class where she learned the importance of positive discipline, socialization and handling skills. She is familiar with taking our dogs, and friend's dogs, to dog parks and the beach. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alex as a great dog or cat sitter/walker. She is responsible, caring, and strong! Any animal would benefit from her care!”

El Macero pet parents share their Rover experiences
Negin was super sweet and engaging, and has excellent chemistry with animals. She stayed at our home and took care of our cat, and my cat seemed very pleased. I got pictures and videos of Negin and my cat daily. I would use Negin again, and I thank her for the care she provided for Monkey.

Emme stayed at ny house for 4 nights while I was out of town. She took time to learn about my dog and his habits during the meet and greet. She asked questions and took notes. During her stay, she arrived on time, checked in often and gave me updates regularly. She is very attentive and asked questions that came up that we had not discussed. I felt my dog was cared for. I would recommend her and consider using her services again..
Carla is a dependable, loving and trustworthy person who has blessed our family twice with her care for our animals. Our dog loves Carla more than us! She has spent the two weekends at our home while we were out of town and everything went perfectly. She even cared for our 8 hens this time, collecting eggs and feeding them each morning. If you have the privilege of receiving Carla's Rover services, you will not regret it.
