About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Cat & Dog CPR & First Aid, and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. I’m calm under pressure, reliable, and always communicate clearly—your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'm currently taking a break from teaching, and being a full-time stay-at-home mama to my 2.5 year old daughter. I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and children. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.

About: We are excellent dog, cat, bird, poultry, reptile, and fish caretakers as we have raised most of these, and a few years ago, we had a thriving Rover business taking care of folks' animal babies. We can take care of medications if your pet needs: We have administered medicine to most of the animals on our list, including oral medication for a rooster and injections for a snake. We have had some experience in training our current dog as a service animal. While we have not had the chance to care for farm animals on our own, we love them and have had experience being around them (horses, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, alpaca). If you are looking to have your fur baby stay with us, we have a large home with a fenced backyard. Our German Shepherd loves to play with other dogs, and we take him and our guests to local dog parks or fenced fields to play ball and or frisbee. We take care of our guests exactly how we want our pup to be taken care of! I work part time remotely and part time I will need to be in the field. What that means is a lot of the time, I will be in the home, hanging with your furry, feathered, or scaly baby, working on my laptop. During the times I need to work outside of the home, my 19 year old daughter (who has been doing Rover with me since she was 11) will give the best care in my place. I have a thriving Airbnb business in my home for over a decade, so I have a ton of experience and mindset on home-care: I treat other folks' pets and homes as well as I treat my own.
