About: In 2015 I rescued/ adopted Zack a 9 year old lab mix from SPCA in Greensboro, NC. Zack was taken care off by SPCA for 18month after his owner needed to move into a retirement home (no pets allowed). Zack and I had the pleasure to spend 5 beautiful and adventurous years together before he crossed the Rainbow bridge. Since my time with Zack, I enjoy being with dogs; however, I travel a lot so it is not a good time for me to have my own dog. Meanwhile, I‘m happy to take care of your dog / or cat. I‘m currently working full time and I can provide a morning-, evening walk, feeding, brushing and bathing if requested. All over, I prefer to stay at the pets house. Recently now I took care of 2 Saint Bernards and a young male cat (there is no doggie door and it worked great with my schedule. I love to be outside, so I will spend as much time as possible, at a walk/ hike, playing with doggie toys or tossing a ball or freesby. Depending on the day I‘ can host the pet at my place. I live on the ground floor and when I step out of my patio I have a wonderful natural grass area followed by Bureau of Land Managment (BLM) with great hiking trails. A new and quite dog park is 3 walking minutes from my place.

Lauri was able to accommodate the early meet-up time and took great care of Lucy. She sent me tons of pictures, which is always appreciated. I could see that Lucy was having a fun day! About: I have been around various animals my entire life. I don’t know if they are mind readers or if they can feel how much I care about them, but I generally get their stamp of approval. Animals and I get along, and I’m better off for it! I have even cared for aggressive animals before (and been bitten— another way of speaking). Usually, they only want and need TLC, and I have plenty of it to give. I have two dogs, Menkar and Kipo, and a cat, Kyochi. My cat is an ESA, and they are all my sweeties, even the crazy one (Kipo). They are just three in a long history of animals I have cared for and cherished. I hope I can give some of that love to your animal(s) (who will probably be one of my new best friends)! I work a job that is incredibly flexible, but it comes with a lot of last minute work. It has down seasons, and I would like to fill that time up. However, even during the busy season, I tend to have free time. I have a small yard but plenty of neighborhood to explore. My two dogs are very friendly, and the younger one especially likes other animals. I will often set alarms on my phone to make sure pets get frequent time outside, and I love to cuddle with furry, and non furry, babies. I know most cats’ favorite TV show, and have made many a dog kick its leg while petting just the right spot. I keep an extra water bowl around in case play time outside goes on for a while. Gotta keep them hydrated! My animals sleep in the bedroom, so I do have one medium sized crate available at night. And though it kills me to always be buying lint rollers, I do allow animals on the furniture. They deserve comfort too. However, I am willing to accommodate any rules or regulations you have for your own pets to the best of my ability. I live with my partner as well, who is always available to love on animals. He smokes, but never inside.

“Mica has been reliable, caring, flexible and overall wonderful with my 3-year old dog Leeloo. She used to walk Leeloo several times a week and pet sit when I would be traveling – it was clear that she genuinely cared about my dog (who immediately loved her in return!). Mica is responsive and was very in tune with my dog’s needs. She helped me transition Leeloo from her crate to being in the apt. alone, was patient and understanding throughout the process. She would also contact me if Leeloo behaved out of the ordinary or was not feeling well. I feel confident leaving my dog in Mica’s care and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, loving, and enthusiastic dog sitter! -Carol”

About: I’ve had 4 dogs growing up ranging from 3 newfoundlands to 1 dachshund. Growing up, my mom gave myself the responsibility of taking care of the dogs including feeding, walking and bathing. I also ran a dog walking/sitting company around my neighborhood as a teen. In accordance to that I love being outdoors and you can count of your furry friend getting enough exercise under my care! I currently work mornings/nights periodically through the week. My job is very flexible with me so no need to worry about your dog being stuck at home for long periods of time. I live in a very pet friendly apartment right by a lake and a ton of trails. I know how to crate train as well, so if your dog requires that I am up to speed. I love any pets even if they aren’t mine, as if they were. I understand pets are an extension of your family so I take it very serious!
