“This was my first time ever using Rover and Ana made it a very good experience. My 18.5 year old service dog has always been with me but I was visiting in-laws who weren’t allowed to have pets visit their rental home. I didn’t know what to do, so I searched online and found Rover. Ana was quick to respond and helpful. She took good care of my Sophie for the day and was flexible on our schedule. The home was clean and she was so welcoming.”
“We had a great experience with our Rover sitter, Jeanette! She was able to accommodate a last-minute request, which we really appreciated, and took excellent care of our dog while we were away. She sent regular photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind and let us see how happy and well cared for our pup was. Communication was smooth from start to finish, and we felt completely confident leaving our dog in her care. We would absolutely book with Jeanette again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful sitter!”

“This was the first time used Rover and we were very happy with the care and love Sariah provided for our girls. Sariah kept us in the loop by sending pics and videos. Would absolutely use her again.”
“They took good care of my baby, Perry. We came to Miramar, FL not knowing that you need a permit to bring dogs to the beach- which was the plan to bring Perry to see the beach for the first time- and Andrew & Maria came to the rescue to babysit Perry for a whole day while my husband & I had a beach date. Definitely will contact them again next time we're there.”

About: I've been taking care of animals ever since I was young, from hamsters to fish to dogs and more. I've managed both calm and trouble making animals and have experience dealing with the full age range of pets due to my personal experience as a dog owner, and from my time volunteering as a foster home for dog shelters. I'm currently working part-time, and so I have an incredibly flexible schedule. I'm available for just about hour of day for any period of time. Taking care of animals has been my weekly norm since I was a kid, so it's just what I'm used to. I have a large fenced yard for pets to feel free and roam around, and I've a multitude of my own resources at home such as bowls, crates, and pens to be used as needed. I usually like to give a pet a feel of independence to wander however they'd like throughout the home and yard, but can easily step in if greater supervision is needed. I'm usually always in the same space as my animals.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with family pets and was always the person rescuing strays, caring for abandoned animals, and helping find homes for kittens. As an adult, I’ve cared for pets of my own and also helped care for animals while working as a caregiver — including walks, feeding, playtime, attention, and companionship while owners were away. I truly love animals and seem to connect naturally with them. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I would love to give yours the same love, patience, and care I would want for my own. I live alone in Notasulga with my four legged furry friend, Betty Juju. (10 Y/O female). I have 5 acres of fenced in yard. Plus a smaller fenced in yard surrounding my home. I owned a residential/condo cleaning business until about 5 years ago after I was involved in a car accident. I now work from home as an artist. I am not on a schedule, so have plenty of time to take care of your pet, as I do for my neighbors when they need a sitter. My home is located on im Notasulga . in five fenced in Acres, as well as a smaller fenced area around my home. I have a friendly 10 year old , 37 lb dog,

“Julie was absolutely amazing with our dogs, Milo and Ralph! Milo can be a bit timid and isn’t used to being left with anyone, but Julie made him feel completely at ease. When we picked them up, they were both so happy and relaxed! Julie was quick to respond, super accommodating with our schedule, and clearly cared for our pups like they were her own. We got regular updates and photos that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in how comfortable and happy our dogs were. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Eglin Air Force Base commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
