“Clarissa is clearly a dog lover and should consider a career in photography, the pictures she sent made my day! Very professional, prompt in communication, and I would love to have her watch my pup again.”

“Jessica was amazing with our dogs for drop in care while we were at Disney. I was not expecting her to send pictures and videos of the dogs so that was so nice to get live updates. She was very accommodating, and so professional. If you’re looking for a dog sitter and need someone on base then look no further. We will be booking her again this summer and we will have zero worries about our fur babies because we know they will be well taken care of.”

“Alexis was very flexible and kept us up to date. We had to make last minute changes to our travel plans and she worked with us very well. She took very good care of our little pup :) Thank you Alexis!”

“Kristin always takes such good care of my little dude. She’s always on time and when I get back he’s doing great and everything is exactly like I left it. This time my cat threw up a bit and Kristin cleaned it up. She even washes his plates from the previous day. Absolutely wonderful with pets, and I’m always at ease when I know she’s checking in. Thank you!!”

“Tyeshia helped us with our puppy for a couple weeks and she made the biggest impact! It is apparent that she cares about our baby girl just as much as we do! Her updates were informative and thorough, and overall communication was a huge plus. She even brought her own treats and water bowl, going above and beyond. 10/10 recommend Tyeshia to help your family, she will not disappoint. We will be booking again in the future!”

“Vanessa is amazing!! She took great care of my cat. Her thoughtfulness and consistent updates took the weight of being away from my furry child off my shoulders. I would definitely recommend!”

About: I have been around animals my whole life and currently have one dog, three cats (one senior with chronic illnesses/daily meds), four hermit crabs, one ball python, and 10 quail. In the past, I have cared for fish, snails, horses, rabbits, ferrets, a tarantula, and a variety of birds. I am open to watching animals of all kinds! I am able to provide drop in care any time on the weekends and morning/lunchtime/evening during the work week. I am also able to provide dog boarding in my home. I work Monday-Friday but my office is in the same neighborhood as my house - and is pet friendly! For drop in care, my goal is to provide care that keeps to the pets' regular schedule as much as possible in order to ensure they feel safe and cared for. I am able to medicate cats and dogs. For in home care, I am able to accommodate up to 2 dogs from the same household. I have a large, pet friendly house and fenced back yard. All boarding dogs must be cat friendly and good with other dogs.

“Rebecca is simply the BEST! She took care of both of our pitties on a weekend after one of them had just had a dewclaw removed. She showed them so much love and was able to give our boy jack the medicine he needed while we were away. Highly recommend booking with Rebecca to care for your babies!”

“Austin was on time every day to take care of my dog. He sent great pictures and asked good questions. My dog was at ease with him, and he made me feel safe. Thank you for caring so much!”

“Amber is exactly the person you want caring for your dog! She has been wonderful and reliable with our puppy, sending lots of pictures and videos and taking the absolute best care of our fur baby. Highly recommend!”

“Kathryn was very easy to get along with and she has a clear love of cats. She sent short but clear daily updates of feedings, cleanings, and how my cat was doing and interacting with her.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
