“Christine was awesome with my boys!! She was super responsive and even my timid cat went right up to her!! She has a gift. 10/10 recommend!!”

“Tyeshia helped us with our puppy for a couple weeks and she made the biggest impact! It is apparent that she cares about our baby girl just as much as we do! Her updates were informative and thorough, and overall communication was a huge plus. She even brought her own treats and water bowl, going above and beyond. 10/10 recommend Tyeshia to help your family, she will not disappoint. We will be booking again in the future!”

“What a wonderful experience! Kristin Lynn always takes such good care of my cat and sends great photos. She’s communicative and super punctual, and I know my cat is safe with her. He even gets on her lap which is something that usually takes a while for him! Would recommend without hesitation.”

“I got an invite last minute out to crab Island. I didn't want to leave my Casey girl all day home alone. Rita came and spent some time with her and gave her a good walk. Very happy client here, will definitely rebook with Rita in the future!💖🐶💖”

“McKayla was OUTSTANDING!! I had a last minute cancellation with a sitter, and she was able to make it work for us. I got lots of pictures and my girls looked so happy. Even my dog Keera, who doesn’t do well with strangers, loved her. I hope I get to work with her again.”

“Melanie dropped by our home to check on our two kittens. She always sent updates and pictures. She communicated very well and was super trustworthy! We’ll definitely have her watch our cats again 😊”

“Staci was so wonderful and caring. She was very patient with one of my very shy cats and my not-so-shy boys really loved her. Definitely recommend her to care for your furry friends”

About: I have taken care of dogs, trained and loved them since early childhood and will ensure they are given the best care. Their safety is my top priority. I’m currently working part time and my work schedule can be adjusted to fit your needs. Available all evenings for overnight sitting and available on weekends. I’m interested in a dog sitting job that requires me to stay at your home overnight so that your dog feels comfortable and not out of their element.

About: I’ve worked with neighborhood pets, mainly dogs and cats. I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and love making sure pets feel happy and safe. I’m excited to bring an outgoing, energetic approach to every pet care experience. Im available all day! I can provide multiple check-ins throughout the day, along with walks, playtime, and plenty of attention to keep your pet happy and cared for. While I don’t offer pet care in my own home, I’m committed to keeping your space clean, tidy, and just the way you left it. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable in their familiar environment.

“Cheryl is amazing and a life saver. Took great care of our cats even the more senior one with tricky medications. Then she went out of her way to take care of our plants so they wouldn't freeze. Wow, we are so grateful and relieved to have someone wonderful like Cheryl to watch over our home and fur babies in our absence.”

About: All my life, I thought I was a cat person. Then Jameson and Christopher happened… and I got converted. 😂🐾 Now I research dog behavior, work on training and commands, and probably get way too excited when they listen and learn something new. I’m patient, very hands-on, and affectionate. I believe structure and consistency are the key to almost everything. I also have two tweens who help care for our dogs and absolutely love having another furry friend around to play with and give attention to. With me, your dog gets walks, playtime, attention, treats (with your permission!), belly rubs, and people who genuinely enjoy having dogs around. And because I speak English and Spanish, my dogs are bilingual. 😂 So there’s a small chance yours goes home knowing a little Spanish too. 😉🐾 I’m a full-time mom, and I homeschool my two boys, which means my schedule is flexible, intentional, and home-centered. Daily walks, playtime, feeding schedules, training, and supervision are part of my normal rhythm. Routine and reliability matter in my household. Pets are supervised, engaged, and treated like family, not left alone for long stretches. I care for pets the same way I care for my own kids: with routine, attention, and respect. I stick closely to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and home rules. While I don’t have a patio, we’re five minutes from the dog park and can take daily walks to nearby nature spots.
About: I think a meet and greet is an important way to let me know if your pet needs anything special for their visit. I want pets to be my job. I have flexible hours to take care of your pet. If you have a senior dogs that needs to be walked by his/herself, that's no problem. They usually need to go at a slower pace so they can enjoy their walk. I can do walks or just drop in visits to be with them. I can also drop in visits for your cat, so they are not lonely. I think cats need attention & exercise while pet parents are away. I can give them playtime and keep you updated on their response. I want pets to be my job. I have flexible hours and the time to take care and play with your pups. I can also provide boarding on weekdays and/or weekends. I have no problem walking larger dogs, but I can only board dogs 20 lbs or under. (my dogs are 11 lbs and under.) I have had pets for over 30 and taking care of family, friends and neighbors pets for over 25 years. I treat your pet as if they were my own. I have a small fenced in yard and also have small dogs to keep your pup company. I am also able to crate your pup if needed. I have a dog door, but if I have to run errands the pups are safely keep inside until I return. My fur babies like to lay in the sun.
“I can’t say enough good things about Farrin! She has an obvious love for animals and such a sweet demeanor. She met me and Charlie before drop in visits for a week and he immediately loved her. She had great communication throughout, sent the cutest pictures, and I had such peace of mind leaving my little guy in her care. Don’t hesitate to use her for your pet. ?”

About: I have had dogs since I was a kid, from pure beds to rescued mixed breeds and I love them like they are my family! Leaving your pet can be stressful I know, so I will do my best to love them and keep them distracted until you return! I currently work part time and mostly from home so I am very available to not just take care of your pet but really love them! I have a small fenced yard to play in and also a safe neighborhood to walk dogs. I’m very comfortable walking dogs of all ages and sizes. I do have a 2 year old son who loves animals so pets would need to be safe with him.
About: I Need a dog fix! I currently don’t have a dog although I have for most of my life! I grew up with mixed breeds and many animals, had a Great Pyrenees, golden retriever and then a hot dog, also I Have taken care of friends’ dogs when I lived up north. I have lived in Florida for nine years, I know where dog parks are ( if it is approved by owners). I have worked in the health field with a variety of illnesses, also the short term rental & HOA field. I have always been amazed by service animals, therapy animals and have considered becoming a dog groomer. I love dogs and now have more flexibility and availability for doing what I love! I’m healthy , active and know the area, don’t mind traveling I’m currently retired and working just 2-3x/week 1-6pm. I have lots of energy and have an elderly cat right now so I cannot board dogs at this time . I’m around on the weekends and mostly available! I know the area well and can drive to clients homes, I can transport pets as needed, eventually I would be able to board dogs in my home.
About: I am super friendly and responsible, and I have experience dog sitting and interacting with dogs. My family has two poodle mixes and growing up my neighbors had dogs as well that I would house and dog sit for! I love to spend time outside and with dogs! I am an athlete as well, so if your dog needs some extra exercise I frequently run and play any type of sports! My backyard is very spacious with lots of room to run and play. I have my own car and a very flexible schedule so please feel free to contact me! I work a flexible day job and I’m usually free in the evening and early mornings! Weekends are open as well! Mckayla was amazing!!! We could not have asked for a better sitter for our Lovey. Lovey has loads of energy as she is still very puppy like at the age of 2. Mckayla was able to keep up & she took her on walks everyday. We did not require walks at all but she chose to do it anyways. We will definitely be using McKayla’s services again!!

Jen was absolutely amazing with my fur baby!! My old kitty was very well taken care of and very content when Jen was here and got tons of kitty-love that she needed, Thanks so much Jen! Communication was top notch as well! Already looking to book again with you!! Thanks for giving her all the care and live and me the piece of mind! 🐈

I cannot recommend my dog sitter enough! Leaving your fur baby in someone else’s care is never easy, but they made the entire experience completely stress-free. They treated my dog like family, kept me updated with photos and messages, and made sure all of her needs were met exactly as instructed. My dog can be particular with her routine, medications, and care, and I came home to a happy, healthy, and relaxed pup, which says everything. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in such loving and capable hands. If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy, compassionate, and truly loves animals, I wholeheartedly recommend them. I will absolutely be using them again in the future!
Christine did a wonderful job taking care of my dogs during her drop-in visit. She arrived right on time, had great communication throughout the process, and was very responsive to messages. I really appreciated the updates and photos she sent, which gave me peace of mind knowing my dogs were being well cared for. Christine was reliable, professional, and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter and would happily book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
