“Barbara is absolutely AMAZING! I have had to change my trip so many times due to schedule changes, and she was SO accommodating. She kept me continuously updated with photos and videos the entire time, and took the best care of my baby 🐶. I swear she was MADE for this! Thank you so much again Barbara, I cannot thank you enough. You ROCK!”

“Renee is nice, her house is nice (although I didn't see the backyard so I can't comment there). She has several small dogs who played with Walter. She was good about texting pictures and communication.”

About: It's great to have a dog around!! From my first dog Cookie to boarding my Uncle's dog Fearless..well you just fall in love. Dogs force me to be the outdoor person I was meant to be..how can I say no to a walk?? I am super disciplined about feeding, watering, and any special needs. Can't wait to meet your furry friend... I am around most days and can be flexible depending on owners needs. I don''t require a lot of notice for walks, sitting, and or boarding. My home is dog ready..I have a fenced yard and a dog park close to me. Flexible accomodations..can have dogs run free in home..can crate if necessary. Fenced yard complete with turf grass. I live on a dead end street in a semi private neighborhood.
“She was so amazing with my dog I just rescued! He absolutely LOVED her and she took such good care of him while he was still recovering ❤️🩹 100% the best dog sitter I’ve had!”

“Cheryl was great! She sent frequent updates, took lots of pictures, and my boys looked happy. This was my first time leaving my boys with someone. I was not totally stress free because lets face it, I am a mom, but I was pretty dang close to stress free thanks to Cherly. She gave them exercise, relaxed with them, played with them, and overall gave them the best care and affection! She even helped me do some foundational and potty training for my 4 month old puppy. Thank you Cheryl for being the best dog mom and care taker!! I appreciate you so so so much!”

“Always takes the best care of our Sophie!! So sweet and loving to our pup, and considerate of us with her daily updates and being flexible when our plans had a major hiccup coming home. Would recommend to any/everyone!”

“Naomi is very caring with all her animals. She always sends updates with pictures and my little dog always looks so happy and comfortable in her home. I never worry while I am away and Jack is with Naomi because I know he is in good hands.”

“Our dogs love to go to Sheila's house so much that we don't even have to put them on a leash when we get there... They just run to the front door. And we never worry about anything while our dogs are being cared for by Sheila. Her house is all set up for the dogs and she has a wonderful, large fenced-in backyard.”

“Jessica and her family took great care of my fur baby while I was on vacation. She fit right in and was hesitant to leave. Will definitely use Jessica again when I am in town.”
“Jordan was fantastic and took great care of my fur baby. My pup can be high maintenance, but Jordan was very good at attention to detail and great with interacting with her and sending photos.”

“David & Krysta took such great care of Enzo while we were away. Great communication and were flexible with our needs for pickup & drop off. Seemed like Enzo felt right at home with them”

About: I didn’t grow up as a “dog person”—I grew up as a cat person. I was raised around cats (at one point, 12 of them: mom, dad, and two rounds of kittens) and dogs, with my dad mainly caring for the dogs. Cats were always my thing, and I never pictured myself as a dog mom. That changed about a year ago. I’m also a mom to two human boys under 10, and they wanted a dog so badly. I agreed to adopt—with the condition that they would be involved in caring for him. One day at an adoption event, I was holding a puppy… and the next thing I knew, I was walking into a pet store holding him like a baby and buying dog food. That’s how Jameson joined our family. Jameson is now one year old—a very smart, friendly Weimaraner–Pit Bull mix who loves other dogs, kids, and humans. After him, I confidently told my kids: one dog is enough. Joke's on me!. One morning, 5 months ago, one of my boys woke up and said, “I dreamed we have another dog. His name is Chris. He’s white with spots.” I immediately said no. A few hours later, we found Christopher, a white dog with spots who had been left behind near Walmart. And that’s how dog number two came home. Now the house has four boys—two human, two canine—and it’s honestly not chaos. It’s full of structure, routine, love, and daily trips to the dog park. I enjoy training, I’ve read books on dog behavior, and both Jameson and Christopher are well-mannered, social, and happy dogs. I’m patient, attentive, and very hands-on. I understand dogs as family members, not just pets—and I’m especially comfortable with dogs who live in homes with kids and real-life energy. Bonus: my dogs are bilingual. I speak English and Spanish, and yes… I can teach your dog Spanish commands if you want 😉🐾 Pet care isn’t something I squeeze into my routine — it’s already built into it. I’m a real estate broker associate, a full-time mom, and I homeschool my two boys, which means my schedule is flexible, intentional, and home-centered. Daily walks, playtime, feeding schedules, training, and supervision are part of my normal rhythm, not an exception. I’m a hands-on dog mom to two active, social dogs, so outdoor time, dog park visits, and balanced downtime at home happen every day. Because I homeschool, I’m present throughout the day and able to give consistent attention, structure, and companionship to dogs in my care. Routine and reliability matter in my household. Pets are supervised, engaged, and treated like family, not left alone for long stretches. Weekly, I stay consistent with training reinforcement, socialization, and monitoring each dog’s behavior, appetite, and overall well-being. In short: pet care fits seamlessly into my daily life — it’s part of how we live. I care for pets the same way I care for my own: with routine, attention, and respect for who they are. I stick closely to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and home rules. While I don’t have a patio, we’re five minutes from the dog park, and daily walks — including nearby nature spots — are part of our normal routine. Lots of supervision, movement, and love, always adjusted to each pet’s personality.
“Erik did a great job keeping my updated on how things were going and sent pictures as well. Flexible with the drop off and pick up times and was quick responding/communicating.”

“Juniper had a lovely weekend while we were away and Anna sent many photos from their time together. Anna was very communicative and accommodated our drop off & pick up times.”

“This is my second time booking with Robert and everytime he does an awesome job. My anxious dog who is scared of humans greeted him everytime he came home and even let him pet her. He is a great dog sitter!”

“This was our first time leaving our baby. From my first conversation with Rosemary and meeting Matthew at drop-off they made it so easy not to worry. I would recommend them 10times over. Thanks so much for making my vacation!”

Cat caregivers near you - Destin
About: I’ve always loved animals and am comfortable petsitting all kinds of pets! With my volunteer experience at an animal shelter, I am also comfortable administering topical and oral medication, if necessary. I work full time, but am available to drop by in the mornings, after work in the late afternoon, and in the evenings. Can do weekends as well! I have base access so pet sitting on base is not an issue! When pet sitting, I obviously always prioritize keeping the water full and giving pets the appropriate amount of food. Making sure the environment is clean is a big one - like ensuring any accidents are cleaned up.
“Christine was wonderful! We had just moved to the area and were looking for a pet sitter last minute. She was very attentive and I felt very comfortable leaving my pet with her. Would highly recommend!”

“McKayla was OUTSTANDING!! I had a last minute cancellation with a sitter, and she was able to make it work for us. I got lots of pictures and my girls looked so happy. Even my dog Keera, who doesn’t do well with strangers, loved her. I hope I get to work with her again.”

“Kristin always takes such good care of my little dude. She’s always on time and when I get back he’s doing great and everything is exactly like I left it. This time my cat threw up a bit and Kristin cleaned it up. She even washes his plates from the previous day. Absolutely wonderful with pets, and I’m always at ease when I know she’s checking in. Thank you!!”

“Melanie was great with our kitties. She took the time to love on and give all 5 attention every day. Even emptied our dehumidifier each day for us. This was our first time using rover or any pet sitting service, but would definitely book Melanie again. You could tell by the daily photos, how happy the kitties were for their daily check in. Thanks for making our time away easier for us and our kitties!”

“Barbara did a great job caring for our two cats while we were away! She kept us informed and went above and beyond to spend extra time with them. She is a true animal lover and a very sweet person. Will definitely use her again!”

“Paulina did an outstanding job of taking care of our pet cat Gordie. Her communication was excellent and her daily updates and photos were very comforting as we knew Gordie was being well cared for. Highly recommend and hope to work with Paulina again in the future!”

“Staci was so wonderful and caring. She was very patient with one of my very shy cats and my not-so-shy boys really loved her. Definitely recommend her to care for your furry friends”

“Taelor was amazing. She always made sure our cat was taken of while dropping in and did things without questions (I.e cleaning his litter box, giving him fresh water). Her updates were much appreciated and we’ll definitely be using her in the future”

“At the prospect of leaving our 3 fur babies, I was anxious to say the least. Upon meeting Jen, a genuine loving soul, my worries diminished to a dramatic degree. The 8 days we were away she kept in constant contact with us, sending photos and updates regarding her visits. I consider ourselves so lucky to have met her in this loud chaos that is this world. Would not hesitate to leave our babies with her in the future.”

“They did an amazing job and they showed how much they cared by asking questions making sure they would be the right fit for Bruno. To make it even better throughout the night they provided pictures to ease my mind about leaving my baby with them.”

About: I've always had pets growing up from turtles, fish, ferrets and cats and dogs! I have watched several of my friends and family pets. I am currently working from home 40 hours a week and can host a dog or 2 depending on size for daycare/boarding. I am also available for morning and evening check-ins and walks! I do work from home so your babies can come hang out with me and my puppers during the work day and play out all their energy! I do have a 1.5 yr old golden doodle who loves to play and stays home with me now that I work from home. We love to go on walks or go to the park.

Communication was smooth from start to finish, and we felt completely confident leaving our dog in her care. We would absolutely book with Jeanette again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful sitter!”

About: I've been taking care of animals ever since I was young, from hamsters to fish to dogs and more. I've managed both calm and trouble making animals and have experience dealing with the full age range of pets due to my personal experience as a dog owner, and from my time volunteering as a foster home for dog shelters. I'm currently working part-time, and so I have an incredibly flexible schedule. I'm available for just about hour of day for any period of time. Taking care of animals has been my weekly norm since I was a kid, so it's just what I'm used to. I have a large fenced yard for pets to feel free and roam around, and I've a multitude of my own resources at home such as bowls, crates, and pens to be used as needed. I usually like to give a pet a feel of independence to wander however they'd like throughout the home and yard, but can easily step in if greater supervision is needed. I'm usually always in the same space as my animals.
“David took such great care of our dog during the day and sent us wonderful pictures. I loved how David introduced the dogs and then they were all best friends. He inquired about any needs the dog had and even accommodated our requests on timing. Your dog is in good hands with David and family. Thank you!”

About: I grew up on a farm of generations surrounded by animals, so caring for pets has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience and attention. I know how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine, and I’ll follow your instructions carefully while providing plenty of exercise, affection, and playtime. I treat every dog like family and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your furry friend is safe, happy, and loved. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and make their happiness and safety my top priority. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pet plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, walks, and cuddles throughout the day. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family and always keep owners updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pup is in great hands Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine always come first. I have a secure fenced yard, a clean and pet-friendly home, and three friendly, well-socialized dogs who love making new friends if your pup enjoys company. I can also keep dogs separated or crate them if preferred. About: I think a meet and greet is an important way to let me know if your pet needs anything special for their visit. I want pets to be my job. I have flexible hours to take care of your pet. If you have a senior dogs that needs to be walked by his/herself, that's no problem. They usually need to go at a slower pace so they can enjoy their walk. I can do walks or just drop in visits to be with them. I can also drop in visits for your cat, so they are not lonely. I think cats need attention & exercise while pet parents are away. I can give them playtime and keep you updated on their response. I want pets to be my job. I have flexible hours and the time to take care and play with your pups. I can also provide boarding on weekdays and/or weekends. I have no problem walking larger dogs, but I can only board dogs 20 lbs or under. (my dogs are 11 lbs and under.) I have had pets for over 30 and taking care of family, friends and neighbors pets for over 25 years. I treat your pet as if they were my own. I have a small fenced in yard and also have small dogs to keep your pup company. I am also able to crate your pup if needed. I have a dog door, but if I have to run errands the pups are safely keep inside until I return. My fur babies like to lay in the sun.
“Barbara was amazing with our dog on both check ins she did for us last minute. She communicated so well and took pictures throughout her interactions. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We will use her again and again!”

“When we need someone to watch our babies again Rebecca is who we will turn to. She kept us updated while we were away and the pets were getting along better when we got back. I do’t know what she said to them but I won’t be surprised if I find our dog and younger cat curled up together. He has become quite protective of her. After Rebecca left, our Maddox cried. He wanted to go with her. Rebecca is a keeper as a sitter. I highly recommend her. Very carring.”

About: While professional dog walking for others is new for me, caring for dogs is not. I was lucky to spend 14 amazing years with my own dog, who was truly my soul dog and taught me so much about patience, attentiveness, routine, and unconditional love. After recently stepping away from my corporate career to slow down and focus on things that genuinely bring me joy - spending time with dogs, being active outdoors, creating meaningful connections. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I would care for them with the same kindness, attention, and love I gave my own. Whether your furry friend loves long walks, playtime, or simply companionship, I'm excited to provide a safe, fun and loving experience for them. Because I've recently stepped away from a corporate career I am flexible with my time, which allows me the ability to care for your furry friend. Dog walking is the perfect fit for this season of life because it combines my love for dogs, being active outdoors, and building meaningful connections in my community. You can expect dependable communication, punctuality, lots of love and attention for your pup, and someone who will care for them as if they were my own. At this time, I’m focusing exclusively on dog walking so I can provide the best possible experience and attention to each pup I care for. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I will make sure they are securely leashed, closely supervised, walked in safe areas, and cared for according to your instructions and their individual needs. Whether your dog enjoys energetic walks or a slower pace, you can expect dependable care, patience, and lots of love every step of the way.
About: I’ve always had a love for animals. I’ve had horses, dogs, cats and more. I have dog training experience and foster when needed to save a dog in need. I’m a Realtor with flexibility. My dog gets walked 3 to 5 miles a day and lots of play time! I feed twice a day and can follow the regular schedule. I live in a townhouse with a fenced area for pups to go in and out in between walks. This allows them outside time and space to play.

About: I’ve worked with neighborhood pets, mainly dogs and cats. I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and love making sure pets feel happy and safe. I’m excited to bring an outgoing, energetic approach to every pet care experience. Im available all day! I can provide multiple check-ins throughout the day, along with walks, playtime, and plenty of attention to keep your pet happy and cared for. While I don’t offer pet care in my own home, I’m committed to keeping your space clean, tidy, and just the way you left it. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable in their familiar environment.
About: I have been around animals my whole life. I enjoy spending time with them when their family is away. I think it is great if they can be at home with their normal routine. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to care for pets. I have a flexible schedule with good availability right now. I will follow the directions and schedule left by the pet or home owner. I think it is important to keep the pets on their routine.

“This is my second time booking with Robert and everytime he does an awesome job. My anxious dog who is scared of humans greeted him everytime he came home and even let him pet her. He is a great dog sitter!”

“Madison was an absolute rockstar with my 8 month old pup. She was kind, and extremely caring with Cali. She kept me updated on Cali daily - my little girl was BEAMING in every picture from ear-to-ear. Cali misses having a buddy like Roma to run around with for sure. In the future we will ABSOLUTELY be electing Madison’s services.”

“Dawn took care of my Billy so well. She regularly shared videos and photos. She took him for walks to parks. Billy visited new places and I was so happy that he must have thoroughly enjoyed his walks and stay. Dawn is easy and caring to interact. I would highly recommend her for any dog parent.”

“We had an amazing experience with our dog sitter! She took incredible care of our dog, treated her like family, played with her constantly, and made sure she was happy and comfortable the entire time. We especially appreciated all the photo and video updates — it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can truly tell she cares about animals and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring. Definitely a 5-star experience!”

“Ginny did such an amazing job, my dog Apollo was treated wonderfully. He was there for about two weeks with a mixture of other dogs. I had frequent updates, and was told how he was being treated - the peace of mind was fantastic. I would easily book with Ginny again, I cannot recommend her enough.”

“My first night away from my dogs! They had a lot of fun socializing with the other dogs and running around the yard. Would definitely recommend Sam’s place for high-energy large dogs.”
