About: Growing up my family has always had pets, usually a mixture of dogs and cats (with the occasional hamster or lizard!). My passion for animals grows more and more every day. As an adult, my husband and I have 4 dogs ranging from tiny to large who get along great with all other animals. We also have 3 cats who are very unbothered by dogs. I try to volunteer at the local shelter twice a week but we have a beautiful baby boy so I haven’t been in a little while. Taking care of pets is truly second nature to me, I haven’t ever lived without pets and have always had a passion for them. Even as a little girl I always wanted to be involved in our pet’s care tasks. I know how stressful it can be trying to find a good place for your beloved pet to stay while you’re away, or to find help during the day while you’re at work. I hope that I can be one to relieve some of that stress and worry. Our pets are the most precious members of our family. I know that each individual dog/cat has their own needs and that different things work for different pets. I am very flexible and will always prioritize taking care of your pet the way that you do. Pet care is always part of my daily routine, I’m a stay at home mom to my beautiful baby boy, as well as to my 4 pups and 3 kitties. It is so intertwined with my life that I would make your fur baby feel right at home. I am home 24/7 so no need to worry about your pup or kitty being home alone in a strange place. I have a fully fenced yard and 4 other dogs. One of our dogs is a tiny senior (16 years old!), and the 3 other are middle aged, they love to play but aren’t too high energy if your pup doesn’t feel like playing. During feeding times I make sure that no one feels they have to compete by feeding everyone at once and facing them away from each other. I provide lots of toys and treats (with owners permission of course!) and cuddles (again with owners permission). I will be happy to communicate as much or as little as you need, if you want daily pictures, or even a few pictures a day, I am more than happy to do so! For pups that I’m just checking on, walking, or letting out to potty, all of the same things apply :)

“Shyla was absolutely amazing for watching our dog! She constantly gave updates with photos and videos and kept us up to date with how he was doing while we were gone. She even was so kind to watch him and take care of him after we learned he tore his ACL and had to be restricted in movement and she made sure he was taken care of! About: I grew up on a small farm so caring for animals has always been part of my life. I have experience with dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, small pets. All of my pets have been rescues and truly are my children. I focus on personalized care, enrichment, socialization, adventures and not just feeding and potty breaks. I’ll follow your pet’s routine while giving them the same patience, attention and love I give my own. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday life. I have pets of my own, so my days naturally include feeding, walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles and plenty of outdoor adventures. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to build my day around the animals in my care, whether that means morning walks, midday check-ins, longer adventures or overnight stays. My home is pet-friendly with a doggy door and secure 6-foot vinyl-fenced yard for plenty of outdoor time. My neighborhood has lots of walking paths and parks. There is a small dog park within walking distance.

About: I’m SUCH an Auntie with all the pets I watch! I've regularly cared for all my siblings' dogs for decades -my sister's two medium dogs have even recently been for a stay of over a week, right here in my apartment! So a multi-day routine is pretty easy for me. I've been told more than once that a pet who "doesn't usually warm up to people" ends up seeking me out! Since it seems to be a strength of mine, your shy pet may end up a good friend! I live in a studio (no private yard), but I have a fenced back porch for outdoor time and the complex is very secure so walking around here is no problem! My schedule as a certified night-owl runs roughly noon to 5am, so I'm a great fit for lunchtime visits and evening/night walks -and bonus (!) you don't have to rush back from a late-night out, since I've got your doggos covered well past when most sitters would need you home. For overnight boarding, I'm a light sleeper and stay responsive to your dog's needs through the night and early morning. I won't cancel for snow -I grew up driving in snow and ice even from before 16 on a South Dakota farm and spent over a decade in Wyoming winters, so Colorado weather doesn't scare me off (maybe a blizzard sure, but otherwise!) My own 8-year-old cat is fully comfortable around dogs and cats. She's been present through all of my sister's dogs' stays (check out the photos!) and has her own secure, independent access to our enclosed back porch as well as a catio enclosure for daytime chillin'. Currently my job is DoorDashing, so I could whittle out any time for all pets! I am a big night person, so as said noon to 5am is typical. That would mean I would be awake with your doggos for more time than typical sitters at night. I am willing to do several days in a row if needed since I can move my dashing schedule around quite easily. When I am at your place not only will your pets be taken care of with whatever schedule you need, but your house will be looked after as well. If there are any accidents that need to be taken care of, I will make sure it's set! My home is very small -just a studio (a good-sized studio apartment), but I have had my sister’s two medium-large dogs stay there with me for over a week and they did a great job! It’s not much area to wander around in, but I have pet beds and spaces to feed them! I also live on the first floor with a walkout small back porch that leads to the well-maintained outdoors of the apartment complex where I can easily take your dogs for any outside time they would need. The soundproofing in my place is also immaculate, so even if they bark everything will be okay! I do have one cat. So if your dogs or other cats are not okay with that, I am more than willing to come to your place if need be. She is great with others as long as they’re not too into her business and she has places that she can hide when she needs so she is great! I also have a “catio” on my back deck that is attached to my window with a pet flap where my cat goes out and chills. It is a very large enclosure.

“Our dog Choco had a blast staying with Mikey while we were out of town for an extended weekend. Mikey took Choco for a lot of walks, supervised him playing in the large fenced backyard, made sure he took his pill at mealtime, and gave him lots of love and stimulation. What really stood out to me was how much Mikey enjoys being around dogs. I knew Choco would be happy with someone who genuinely cared about him. There was another dog boarding at the same time, which made it even more fun for Choco. Mikey was clear and responsive in his communication as well as experienced and responsible. I will be using him every time I need someone to take care of Choco and highly recommend him to others.”
