“Barbara was awesome! We were visiting the area from out of town and she was so accommodating in watching our dog while we went to watch a show. My dog is very timid but he warmed up to her so quickly and really enjoyed his stay. Communication was great and she was so nice!”

“Our dog stayed with Sylvie for daycare. Sylvie sent us a video of Mindy being brushed and she was really enjoying the attention. She also sent additional pictures of Mindy being held and cuddled. Mindy was happy to see us but not in the least anxious. We are considering an overnight visit prior to the week-long boarding in November Sylvie really loves what she does. She has a great area dedicated to the pets' needs. Pets are not confined only to this area. Looking forward to going back.”

About: I love dogs. To me, home is where the dog is. If you’re reading this, I bet you feel the same way. I have loved, lived with, and raised everything from a 4 lb Chihuahua to a 60 lb Standard Poodle. Now I live with a 24 lb mini Doodle named Poppy. We give Poppy love, training, play, and routine. And treats! She is family, and your fur kid will be treated the same way, like a member of our family. We generally board one or two dogs at one time. Three is rare but can happen if they are from one family or dogs I know are compatible. We love keeping dogs for daycare, and carefully consider each situation with pet safety as the priority. Aggressive dogs are not a good fit for us. I am retired. Your dog will not be left alone. John or I will be at home with your dog. This works well with dogs with separation anxiety, but almost all dogs want a human companion close by. They are in a new place looking for reassurance. Your dog’s health and safety, and your peace of mind, are my top priority. Please let me know if you have any special requests, such as medication administration, or special pick up times. I have a flexible schedule to meet most needs. I send daily photos and updates. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME: A knowledgeable and sensitive assessment of your dog’s needs followed by fast and appropriate responses. Before retirement, I was an RN for 39 years, and my assessment skills and my level of awareness are both excellent. My husband can tell you how impressed he was when I saved our Chihuahua with a modified Heimlich. He said he didn’t notice she was choking until after I’d removed the obstruction! I will notice and care for your dog’s needs. That’s how I care for my dog, and that’s how I’ll care for yours. WHAT I WOULD LIKE FROM YOU: Please provide food and treats (if you want me to give treats) for your dog to prevent stomach issues and allergies. Also, please include any medications. Please provide documentation of up to date vaccinations. ENVIRONMENT: We have an enormous fenced yard, and our guests are allowed to use the doggie door with outdoor supervision. They can nap on the shady patio, sniff along the fence line, or play with toys. Fetch and tug have been big hits, but there are visitors who seem to prefer exploring. The yard is safe and secure. John recently fenced off the ornamental cactus area of the yard to prevent possible injury. We provide structured outdoor playtime for an hour everyday, and furred guests are welcome in the pool with your permission, weather permitting, and canine desire. When we aren’t supervising the pool, the pool gate is locked. Fresh water is always available, both outside on the patio and in the house in the kitchen. Our home is air conditioned. Visitors are allowed on the furniture, unless you direct otherwise. I consider it a gift when a furry friend joins me for a cuddle on the couch. We have discovered that a rock yard can be too rough on paws for long playtimes. We have pushed our patio furniture to one side to free up covered play space on the patio. Chasing balls across the smooth cement is easy on the paws!

About: Experienced in caring for all sorts of animals — Specifically, I’ve worked at a doggy daycare/boarding, fostered dogs, and dog-sat for years. I’ve also cared for my own animals, as well as for friends. I work from home full-time, Monday through Friday, but travel for business occasionally. Open to walks, drop-ins, day care during the day, and occasionally boarding. Just let me know! I live in a home with a fenced in yard. It’s a safe neighborhood with sidewalks to walk on. I have a large porch great for sunbathing and bird watching. My house itself has furniture perfect for naps and snuggles.

“Allison was kind, friendly, and a great sitter for Katniss! She showed care and attention with Katniss and was very flexible with us as our plans changed with our reservation! She showed knowledge of introducing dogs to each other, as her dogs became friends with Katniss right away! We are so appreciative of Allison and Katniss is always looking forward to her next play date with her dogs!”

“Pumpkin loves her visits with Ethan and Shawna. We get photos and videos that show she has a great time. Thanks for taking good care of our girl!”

“Kalee is wonderful! Our 3 Brittanies can be a handful, and as we are retired they are used to us being home all the time. And one has epilepsy! Kalee was calm and super easy to communicate with. The boys were tired when we picked them up each day (if you have Britts you know why that's important) and happy when we dropped them off. Will definitely schedule with her again when we return to Tucson. Thanks, Kalee! 🐶🐶🐶”

“Marisol and her family took great care of our dog. She had a great time playing with their three little dogs and was exhausted when she got home. Very fair price and easy drop off/pick up.”

“Karen was so wonderful. She took great care of our Henry. I was very comfortable leaving him in her care. I’d be happy to seek her out again and would recommend her to anyone. Thanks again!”

“She’s amazing!! I’m pretty picky about my dog sitters because my dog is a very high energy dog who needs direction and tends to get anxious at new places. Deb’s been working with him and he now LOVES going to spend the day with her and does awesome over there! Always comes home all tuckered out. She’s my new go to person! :)”

“Another great visit! Luigi, formerly a shy rescue dog, loves going to daycare with Alyssa and her two big friendly dogs, Benji and Hope. This is a perfect fit for our boy and he loves his "playdates" with his new friends. We always know that he is safe and happy when we leave him.”

About: I am a Wildlife Biology student with 3 cats of my own as well as experience caring for animals of all kinds. There is no task too big or too small for me. I’m a remote worker with very flexible availability, and a part time student. I have plenty of time to focus on caring for your animals. I understand that every home and pet have specific needs. I'll take care of your pet your way and do everything I can to make you and your pet happy and comfortable.

“Andrea was so friendly and is clearly a dog person. She asked appropriate questions regarding Jack’s care before we left him with her. She has a spacious place for dogs to play. We especially appreciated that she kept an eye on how he was tolerating the warm temps in the area. Highly recommend her!”

“Carina was wonderful with PJ. I highly recommend her.”

“Monica is awesome!!! I felt comfortable with her and her family the moment I met them. Her approach is very inviting. Olive had a ball there too and I know because of all the pics she sent me to keep me informed! She was very flexible with my schedule. I would DEFINITELY recommend her and intend to use her as my sitter from here on out. The search is over! ;)”

About: I’ve been a dog whisperer since I was a child. I have had dogs (one or two at a time) my whole life. We lost our last dog last year and don’t want the long term commitment of a new dog at this stage in our lives, but would love to take care of other people’s dogs. It is just myself and my husband in our household. I work from home part-time and if there are days that I would be showing property (realtor) I would not schedule a Rover sitting job. Also, I babysit a small child every Wednesday and Thursday. I have a fully fenced yard and no other dogs. I have no problem having dogs stay inside my home. I am happy to go to the client’s home as well.
