“Clarissa did a great job with my cats! She sent cute photos and made sure they were happy and healthy. My cats seemed totally relaxed around her, and my house was clean when I got back.”

“Margaret took extended care of my fur-babies while I was away. She made me feel at ease leaving them in her capable hands. Margaret loves your animal like you do and does a terrific job!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life and have always had a passion for caring for animals. I currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I also help care for my elderly dog with special needs, giving me experience with senior pets who require extra patience, attention, and gentle care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply lots of cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m currently a student who is mostly remote. I have a very open summer schedule thanks to my summer break. I’m available weekdays and weekends. Or message me if you are in a pinch and I can try and accommodate you! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to maintain your pet’s routine, so I’ll follow your instructions closely to help them feel relaxed and at home. Whether that includes daily walks, feeding on a specific schedule, administering medications, bathing, playtime, or simply spending quality time together, I’ll make sure they receive the attentive care they deserve.
About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and patience I have for animals. I treat every pet like family and understand that each one has their own personality, routine, and comfort needs. I’m dependable, attentive, and focused on making pets feel safe, happy, and loved — whether it’s a long walk, cuddle time, playtime, or simply keeping their routine consistent while you’re away. My current routine gives me the flexibility and availability to provide dependable, attentive care for pets throughout the day. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, which makes dog walking and pet care a natural fit for me. I’m able to dedicate quality time to each pet, maintain consistent schedules, and make sure they receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I care for pets with patience, consistency, and lots of affection, whether they’re in my home or theirs. I make sure they stay on their normal routine with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention so they feel comfortable and secure. I keep a clean, safe environment, pay close attention to their behavior and needs, and treat every pet like they’re part of the family. Communication with owners is also important to me, so I provide updates and photos for peace of mind.
“She made three visits a day to our house for our dog and cat. They loved her, and she did everything perfectly including giving our dog plenty of walks and giving her her medicine. We will definitely be asking her to come watch our pets again in the future!”

“Liz is an amazing person. Very polite and easy going. She is truly amazing with my puppy, and I can tell how much passion she has towards animals. I'm so grateful for meeting her. I would highly recommend her for any needs you might have in assistance with any of your loved ones!!!”

“Gretchen was absolutely wonderful looking after my 13 year old dog-ger! My little girl is used to my mom watching her but this time that couldn't happen, so I contacted Gretchen. My little dog is set in her ways at 13.5 years old so I was a little hesitant at first. I was amazed to see how well her and Gretchen bonded and got along! She did such a great job, even gave my doggy her new medication 2x a day. We will be sure to contact her again to watch our little girl! So grateful 😊”

“I had a great experience with Raysa watching my cats over the weekend. She was very friendly, reliable, and clearly loves animals. She took excellent care of my cats, making sure they were well-fed, comfortable, and happy. I really appreciated that she took the time to play with them during her visits — it gave me peace of mind knowing they were getting attention and care while I was away. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

“We recently traveled out of the country for our longest trip we've made since getting our cat, so I was little nervous to leave her. Thanks to Karen, I knew I had nothing to worry about! Karen sent regular updates, pictures, and messages that showed our cat was doing well and having a good time. When we arrived home, our cat was calm and relaxed, as further testament to Karen's pet sitting. I strongly and enthusiastically recommend Karen for your animal caring needs!”

“Excellent sitter! Came at last minute notice for us, as our original plan failed. She let us know of all issues and any she thought might be a problem, our cats really enjoyed her presence as well! And they have a sense of people, human and cat approved!”

“Angelique was fantastic with our dog while we were away! She was reliable, thorough, and incredibly kind and caring and we would 100% trust her again in the future to take care of our girl again!”

“Would pick Rachael again and again to take care of our cats. Always sends us good updates and a ton of pictures. With one of our cats sick and getting medications, she gives me such a good peace of mind that they are getting the best care. Highly recommend Rachael.”

Karen was my cat sitter this past week while I was on vacation. She did great work. She feed my cats regularly, kept the litter boxes clean and gave them some well deserved scratches and sent photos of them daily. I will definitely use her for future cat sitting.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
