“Karen was phenomenal!!!! Both my dogs are older and need a lot of additional care and she made sure they were so perfectly taken care of. I didn’t worry at all. She sent daily updates and left my home immaculately clean. So happy with the whole experience and I will absolutely use her again. Cannot recommend enough!!!”

“Thanking you for taking such good care of Harry and Ruby. I know both dogs had a great time with you. Each day Lise was out the door with the dogs early in the morning. We have several nice hiking areas close by, and she took advantage of all of them to exercise the dogs. (who are both high energy dogs). Rest of the day was play and rest. Communication was great, sent pics and overall made us feel like we made a great choice on a short notice sit. The house was tidy and neat; she even did her sheets on her bed. I don't know what else to say but if I could keep Lise a secret I would. We are looking forward to having her sit our two dogs whenever we are planning a trip.”

About: Many of my clients are away from home—sometimes for a weekend, sometimes for a longer trip. Whether you live here year-round or are spending time in Maine temporarily, having a dependable local presence makes all the difference. From the brick paths of Cambridge to the pine woods of Downeast Maine, as someone who moved here from away, I understand the importance of trust, routine, and clear communication when you’re not nearby. I provide calm, reliable in-home care focused on helping pets stay settled and comfortable while their people are away. DOGGIE DAY CARE (Friday Follies) Small-group dog day care offered on a limited basis for dogs I already know. Care is calm and structured, with supervised outdoor time, rest periods, and attention to individual routines. This is not a high-volume or facility-style service. DOG WALKING (Local only, April - November) Dog walking is offered on a limited basis within my immediate neighborhood. Walks are calm, unhurried, and focused on routine and safe outdoor time rather than distance or speed. HOUSE SITTING House sitting provides overnight, in-home care while you’re away. Care focuses on routine, safety, and consistency for pets who do best staying in their own space. Availability is limited and best suited for planned trips. DROP-IN VISITS Drop-in visits provide routine care while pets remain in their home or temporary stay. Visits include feeding, litter or outdoor care, medications as instructed, and general check-ins. Extended visits may be recommended for multiple pets or more involved routines. I plan my schedule intentionally to support well-defined care needs and clear timelines. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care whether you’re traveling nearby or farther from home. Safety and consistency are always a priority. I follow established routines, respect household instructions, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort. Clear communication helps ensure a smooth experience while you’re away.
“Glendon watched our two Westies and took care of our home when we were on a once-in-a-lifetime three week vacation. Our dogs adored him and he took care of them and our home with great love and respect. Knowing that he was home with our pups while we were away gave us total peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our travels without concern.”

“Kirk is incredible and we are already brainstorming reasons to have him pet sit :P He takes such good care and consideration of the pet’s needs. I saw how the other pets looked up to him for safety and comfort. He took great care of our anxious girl. Thanks Kirk!”

“Charlotte was exceptional! She loved on our pup and cat like crazy. She sent many, many updates, videos, and pictures. Her warm and kind spirit made all of us love her instantly. We think the pets had a better vacation than we did! Last- the house looked as though she’d never been there (other than the thoughtful note she left). We HIGHLY recommend Charlotte for pet sitting!”

About: I have taken care of my dog for 10 years. I am truly passionate about caring for animals and I truly believe we should treat them as our loved ones. I have always been around dogs since I was born. I have had multiple dogs at once! I pet sit for my friends and family. I have a very flexible work schedule. I get to pick my work hours so I can always make time for doggies and kitty cats. It brings happiness to me to spend time with pets I bring my dogs out on a leash and let them sniff and walk around for a little bit. Get a nice little refresher. I love to play fetch or tug-of-war. We even play chase just running back and fourth with each other. I give them lots of pets and belly rubs. Brushing them is a big thing to help keep their coats in good condition plus bathing bi weekly!
“As soon as we met Madison we felt so comfortable. She was so kind and loving to our dear dog Angel and was flexible with our unique scheduling needs. I loved the photo updates and reports. I could tell that Angel was happy and well cared for while we were away. We are so grateful for Madison!”

“Nicole is a very dependable house/dog sitter. She has excellent communication skills and keeps us informed while we are away. She sends photos and videos as well as texts. Nicole is not hesitant to ask questions to make her stay with Stanley more effective and enjoyable for him. Nicole administered medications without issue and closely watched Stanley as he had just begun a new medication. The house is always left tidy and we are confident that Stanley is in good hands.”

About: Animals have always been a passion of mine. I grew up with several different animals and have always loved being around them and taking care of them! At a very young age I really wanted to work with animals and that same passion of working with them is still the same today! As of right now, my schedule varies! I could be working any shift from 6:30-2:30, 7:30-4:30, 9:15-5:15, or 12:15-5:15. I am a new mom who is trying to make ends meet but working still isn’t helping because daycare is so expensive! I am really trying to pet sit part time or even full time! My weekends and holidays are always open except for the occasional family trips in the summer! I do not have a fenced in yard at my home so that means that your fur babies will be kept on a leash when taking them outside. Your fur babies will also be kept company by 2 friendly dogs and 2 friendly cats! I also have to crate one of my dogs so I can easily crate dogs if needed!
About: I've raised a variety of pets from childhood. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, geckos and even salt water fish! I'm an environmental science major and have always been passionate about animals. In my adult life I have cared for others pets for short trips and as long as 6 months while a friend was on deployment. I especially love the opportunity to take animals on adventure and exercise ! I'm a student at the University and am taking remote classes this winter. This allows me the flexibility to care for pets around a client's schedule. I do not have a fenced in yard, but live close to several dog parks. I would keep any pets leashed in my neighborhood. I have flexibility to care for pets in my or a client's home depending on each pet and what situation works best.
About: I am always the first to be called when a friend needs doggy daycare or house sitting with dogs, cats, and often other animals. I’ve fostered and found homes for rescues internationally and domestically. I’ve worked for a doggy daycare where I was responsible for 50-70 dogs with a crew of 2-4 people. I also spent a few months off and on taking care of 10-22 huskies while part of the herd were sled racing. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and enjoy seeing all of their unique personalities. I’ve loved animals since I was small. We always had cats when I was little, as well as ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, my turtle boy China B, parakeets, and a Senegal parrot foster. I was surprised with a rescue dog when I was 10, Hemingway. It was an amazing experience and I helped train Hemmy to be a service dog for my grandmother who was visually impaired. Winter rates are now $250/day for basic overnights, includes 3 pets. Will adjust include extra rates accordingly to animals and household needs. I’m self employed and have the flexibility to set my daily schedule around your animals needs and regular routine. Lots of scritches, play time and love are part of my commitment to your pets. I am available for short and long walks (depending on your animals needs and ability), playtime, companionship, love and affection, meals and snacks as well as monitoring medication if needed.
About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I started pet services a few years ago to make a little extra cash during the winter time. Mostly dogs (big or small) a few cats and 1 turtle I’m currently working part-time during these last months of winter so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your doggos! Which means they’ll get plenty of extra outdoor time For dog walking, I’ll most likely just take them around their neighborhood unless they are good with cars might take them over to the dog park An overnight I always stay at the client house so animal will have the comfort of home while they are getting used to a new person and theirs is away
“Emily was amazing! She's very communicative, seemed genuinely thrilled to get to know our animals, and left our house exactly as she found it. Loved having her pet sit for us and will definitely request her in the future. Thank you Emily!”

“Kirsten did an amazing job watching our dogs! They loved her and she provided diligent, attentive care to them. Our dogs aren’t easy, from daily meds to allergies, they can be a lot to take care of and Kirsten managed it all perfectly. She kept us very well informed while we were gone, sending lots of photos and updates. She also was very neat and clean while she stayed over. I would recommend Kirsten highly to anyone seeking a trustworthy, reliable pet sitter! We are so grateful to her and can’t wait to use her services again!”

Karen was phenomenal!!!! Both my dogs are older and need a lot of additional care and she made sure they were so perfectly taken care of. I didn’t worry at all. Karen, what can we say. You took such good care of Maggie May. We came to Bar Harbor for our wedding and we were not sure if we should take out dog. We found Karen, and she made this whole process so EASY! We met with her before the big day, she was so kind and cared so much about her work. She was on time, responded to all our questions and concerns, and always made sure we felt like our dog was a priority. Communication was on POINT and she treated our dog as if it were her own. We had no worries at all, and happy we found her so our Maggie could be taken care of when we were getting ready for our wedding, and was able to have her dropped off at reception so we can celebrate with our dog! Thank you so much Karen, we will for sure be seeing you again soon!
