About: My dad taught me at a young age how to care for, and respect all animals. I have turned this into a life long love for all animals, both domestic and wild. I am a vet assistant, and currently studying to be a certified vet tech. For the last two years I have worked at the local animal shelter, and for the last year, at a dog daycare as well. I have volunteered at Dakin for the best part of the last 15 years. This has included transportation of animals, dog walking, animal socialization, and the kitten ICU. I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time for your furry family members. I am available during the week, on weekends, and holidays. Whether your dog likes the dog park, or playing in the backyard, we can play using their favorite toys. If they are more of a couch potato, I can accommodate them as well. If you have kitties that need company, we can play in the house, or go out for a stroller ride. I have a fenced in backyard for the dogs to play in. In the summer, a pool and water sprinkler will be available. I am a vet assistant, so I have first aid training for both dogs and cats. My house is air conditioned, perfect for relaxing on a summer day.

Not ready to bring home a new dog, but would love to care for your precious fur babies while you are away. I offer patience and attention to your canine's needs. I'm a human nurse but also experienced with dogs special needs such as insulin administration. I work Monday-Friday, Home on weekends. No young children. Available for walks, dog Parks (dog park with your approval), or hanging out in the yard secured on a 50 foot lead. Dogs are not left outside unattended. You're welcome to bring your pets favorite toy for us to use during their stay. Will try to keep them on your schedule for easy transition from home to sitter. Sam even put treats in with my cat’s wet food to coax my cat to eat her new, vet-prescribed food. “Jen house sat for us for nine days and took care of our lab mutt Jamie and two cats, Remy and Lily. She did a wonderful job taking care of our furkids and followed my long list of instructions :). One of our cats is almost 16 and wasn't feeling well for a few days prior to departure. Jen gave her extra attention and got her eat her meals. While we were away our kitty made a full recovery and is back to her old-young self! Jen sent pictures and updates daily and our furkids really enjoyed being with her. Toward the end of her stay even Lily was sleeping in her bed along with the other two, and she never does that with just anyone. When sitting in my home I will rarely be gone longer than 2 hours, if at all. First aid and medical equipment is on site. In a client's home I will be there as required by the client and am very detail oriented. Every pet is cared for as if it is my own.
