About: i’ve had animals my whole life ranging all types of dogs! mainly pits and boxers, i’m very patient and understanding my dogs are a handful themselves lol! so i have seen it all! i currently work at the airport full time and part time as a track and field coach but every morning all animals are cared for before i leave the house and right as i get home! my pets are very free, they have a good size backyard and a gravity feeder, my cats and dogs get along extremely well! they play together and sleep together and i’ve trained my dogs to know what play is okay with my cats and they caught on very quickly!
“Chloe arrived with a big smile and Kuma was taking a walk, when he got close to her he gave the once over and gave his approval. They both got along well. We appreciate Chloe making the time to sit with Kuma giving us the opportunity to meet up with friends and a cruise. If ever in the area again we would certainly book her again! Thank You Chloe!”

“Allan takes very good care of TARS. He makes sure the guidance you place in his hands is taken care of to a T. He goes above and beyond to make sure if there is an issue it is resolved or that things are better than they were received. Couldn't have asked for a better sitter for TARS.”

“Emily took good care of our 2 dogs and turtle while we were gone for an 8 day trip. Although I would have loved to have more updates and a bit more dog walks, our animals were well cared for and seemed very happy. She administered meds to my old dog as requested and brought in the mail. She seems to love animals and communicated very well.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and other animals. They have always been apart of my life. I had 10 dogs at once for about 4 years. I am very patient and understanding. Good with any puke, poop and pee, it doesn’t bother me. Love dogs and will do any special things that need done. I am currently an Eastern Student and have class from 9-12 and work part time at safeway from about 1-7 as of right now. I am planning on doing online class starting in January and planning on working like 8am-2pm at Safeway starting in December. So I will be more flexible in the coming months. Can do early morning and late nights if needed I will keep things clean and tidy while in others home. Will take dog on leash if not fenced in. Will make sure dog has food and water if they aren’t schedule fed.
“Jackie was a wonderful house sitter and dog watcher for our little weekend getaway! She provided great updates, and it put us at ease knowing our dog was well taken care of! She left our home in great condition. We highly recommend using Jackie!”

“We were very nervous using Rover, but Erica put our mind at ease. She took great care of our house and two dogs. We got pictures of everything and she was great about coming before hand so I could meet her.”

“Tierra was very good to work with and the dogs just loved her. We will use her again. She stayed at our home and sent pictures and updates on the dogs. She also let us know if she had a concern.”

“Jocelyn is a responsible and attentive cat sitter. She took care of our particular kitty Nalu and home for the weekend. She clearly loves cats and was so good with Nalu! Jocelyn was good with communicating and quick to respond/send updates. She also left our house very clean. I would definitely recommend her services for cat sitting!”

“Rachel did a wonderful job taking care of our Alaskan Malamute and cat. She took the dog on walks daily, gave him a tone of attention, and I didn’t have to worry for a second while we were gone on vacation. Came back home to a clean house with laundry done. We will definitely be reaching out again when we are out of town.”

About: For four years, I provided dependable care for my friend’s cat and bunny while she attended college in another city. I made sure they were fed on schedule, refreshed their water daily, cleaned litter boxes and living areas, monitored their health and behavior, gave them affection and attention, and ensured they felt safe and comfortable. I have taken care of animals ever since I started college and did it almost monthly for two years. I can do daily check ups after 4:15pm from Monday through Friday. I can do full day pet sitting on Saturday and Sunday when needed. I’m a person who’s job is to make sure everyone is safe and without doubt I will bring that when pet sitting. Safety is priority.
“I can't say enough how much I appreciate and love Ashten & Shelby! They did amazing with my pup as always and even earned some kitty cuddles which is very rare for my cats when they're around strangers. as an employee of Rover, this is the experience i hope for all Rover users”

“We are so thankful to have found Anna Lee to watch our dog during our week long trip. We got plenty of updates where it was obvious he seemed happy, healthy and was definitely getting all of the belly rubs and attention he’s used to. We returned home to a very happy dog and our house well cared for! We look forward to having her stay with Jax again in the future!!!”

“Payten was totally awesome, she immediately connected with the animals and you could tell she really loves animals. We were able to leave for the first time in a very long time and not worry about our dog, who is diabetic , and needs shots. She kept us updated which was very much appreciated. We will be using her again for sure, This was the first time in 5 years that my husband would allow someone else to care for our Sadie and for us to not worry at all. She is a lovely person also.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 616 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across East Cheney. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Cheney walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Cheney maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Cheney choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
