About: I have been involved taking care of pets for as long as I can remember!! I have been involved working with my neighbors friends family and even strangers!! I have worked with rambunctious puppies all the way to old grumpy doggies. I have worked with the sweetest of pups to some aggressive not kind ones. I love getting to help take out and take care of pets especially during the long days and nights when they need some extra love!! I am currently in school and coaching part time but still have a good chunk of time on my hands that I’m looking to fill with some loving doggies!! I love getting to take dogs out and walk them or even just play with them in the yard. I will respect the wishes of the owners when it comes to the safety of their dogs. I am comfortable using a crate if that’s what’s needed and can make accommodations to owners preference.

About: I have been a dog house sitter for some family friends for over the course of a year. I connect instantly with dogs, they feel they can trust me. Looking to get part or full time work soon. Prefer mornings and afternoons. Keep them mostly inside, as I do not have a fenced yard. Take them on daily walks. House is roomy to play around. Not looking for boarding.

Animals are my passion, and I promise I will treat your pets like my own. I am available Monday through Sunday full time. I can be available morning starting at 10am to evenings ending at 8pm. I am also available to pet sit in your home any day of the week. I do not have the means to provide boarding in my home. But I would love to take care of your pets in your home, where I’m sure they’ll feel safe and comfortable.
“It gave me such peace of mind to have Jackie stay with my fur baby while I was on vacation for 2 weeks. It was the longest I’ve ever left him and I was feeling guilty about it. Jackie kept good care of my boy and sent pictures and updates regularly. He was happy and healthy upon my return and my apartment was well taken care of! I wouldn’t hesitate to book Jackie again.”

“An amazing sitter who not only took wonderful care of our pups, but also left our home better than we left it! Anna Lee is a true dog whisperer - able to entertain our Golden and wrangle our "talkative" Malamute. We are very much looking forward to her next stay!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and they’ve taught me that every pup has their own fun personality. Whether it’s a playful walk, a cuddle session, or just hanging out, I always match their energy and keep tails wagging. I’ve taken care of old dogs too, so I know how to be gentle and patient when they need extra care. I don’t just watch dogs, I connect with them, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m a college student available mornings until 10 AM and after 3:30 PM on weekdays, and all day Fridays through Sundays unless of I have exams then i have less time. I make every pet feel safe, happy, and loved, whether I’m at their home or mine. I follow their routines closely, including meals, walks, playtime, and snuggles, so they feel comfortable and stress-free. I give lots of attention, belly rubs, and mental stimulation through games or training exercises, and I always keep a close eye on their health and well-being. Every visit is about making tails wag and pets feel like part of my pack.
“Rachel was amazing. She did an amazing job with our pups and kept us updated and communicated about how everything was going. Would definitely recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her again”

“I really appreciate all the effort and care put into my animals! Like most pet owners, I fret when I'm away. Monique was communicative and friendly, always responding quickly and happy to send a pic.”

“Tierra was wonderful! Our dog Hank loved her as soon as he met her at our meet and greet 😊 She did an amazing job watching him, she sent great updates and pictures and Hank had so much fun with her! We came back to a very happy guy after his time with her 😊 we will definitely use Tierra again”

“Jocelyn was great to work with! I especially appreciated coordinating a meet and greet before our trip and her excellent communication. The animals seemed to enjoy their time with her and everything was in order when we returned.”

“Tatum was wonderful. She took exceptional care of our dogs and left the apartment exactly how we left it. Great attention to detail regarding care instructions and exceptional communication. Highly recommend.”
“Joey was a wonderful sitter for our dog and two cats and for watching our house while we were away. I know they enjoyed his company and he was great at checking in and sending photo updates. Everything was clean upon our return and the pets looked like they just had a vacation too :-) Highly recommend Joey and hope to be able have him watch our pet family again!”

“Erica was taking care of our mini Australian shepherd, Bailey, for two weeks, living with him in our home. She did a great job. First of all, upon our return, we found Bailey healthy and happy. Secondly, Erica initiated sending daily pictures and short reports on how things were going, which we really appreciated; and thirdly, the house was in good order, and she even watered our outside plants - thank you! We will definitely use Erica’s services in the future.”

“Nazeerah was AMAZING. We have a timid, people-selective wolfhound. He sounds intimidating when he gets scared. She was so respectful of his boundaries and allowed him the time to approach her on his terms. By the end of the weekend, she was petting him and he was cuddling with her. Our other dog loved her from start. This speaks volumes about her character, dogs know good people. The most important thing she did though was put my mind at ease so I could be fully present on our family get together and not be concerned about what was happening at home. She provided updates and pictures of all my animals (goats, chickens, dogs and cats) several times a day. Our only heat source is a woodstove and even though the stove can be temperamental, she worked the problem and kept it going. We have had many house sitters over the years but never one as conscientious and caring as Nazeerah. I think the dogs were disappointed when we showed back up instead of her. She is truly an animal lover and more importantly, knows how to put their owners at ease by providing love to their fur babies. We recommend her to everyone and will definitely have her come back again.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Geib
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 578 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Geib. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Geib walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Geib maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Geib choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Geib. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
