“Chloe arrived with a big smile and Kuma was taking a walk, when he got close to her he gave the once over and gave his approval. They both got along well. We appreciate Chloe making the time to sit with Kuma giving us the opportunity to meet up with friends and a cruise. If ever in the area again we would certainly book her again! Thank You Chloe!”

“Jackie did a great job for us housesitting our dog and cat for a week while we were traveling—she even washed the sheets before we came home! We would definitely recommend her.”

“Jocelyn was great to work with! I especially appreciated coordinating a meet and greet before our trip and her excellent communication. The animals seemed to enjoy their time with her and everything was in order when we returned.”

“Honestly Nick and Nazzy the best sitters we have had on Rover—would recommend super highly to anyone who wants to leave their pet pals in good hands! We have an anxious dog and an asthmatic cat, so not the easiest pets, but Nick and Nazzy always take such good care of them. They send tons of pics and videos and kept us up to date on all the happenings! Super kind and considerate folks who go above and beyond in their care of the pets and the home!!”
“Rachel was amazing. We contacted her day of so it was pretty short notice and she made herself available and was on time. She was kind and patient and caring. Otis adored her. She has a lot of experience and knowledge. I felt totally comfortable with her in our home and would absolutely ask her to dog sit for us again. Ty Rachel!”

“Tierra provided excellent care for our 14 month old mini dachshund who is a velcro pup! I will definitely want to book Tierra again in the future and highly recommend her.”

“Wini helped us tremendously on short notice. She was very considerate of our older dog's anxiety. I would highly recommend Wini to anyone needing an in-home sitter. Our two dogs were happy and looking well when we returned.”

“Erica was taking care of our mini Australian shepherd, Bailey, for two weeks, living with him in our home. She did a great job. First of all, upon our return, we found Bailey healthy and happy. Secondly, Erica initiated sending daily pictures and short reports on how things were going, which we really appreciated; and thirdly, the house was in good order, and she even watered our outside plants - thank you! We will definitely use Erica’s services in the future.”

About: i’ve had animals my whole life ranging all types of dogs! mainly pits and boxers, i’m very patient and understanding my dogs are a handful themselves lol! so i have seen it all! i currently work at the airport full time and part time as a track and field coach but every morning all animals are cared for before i leave the house and right as i get home! my pets are very free, they have a good size backyard and a gravity feeder, my cats and dogs get along extremely well! they play together and sleep together and i’ve trained my dogs to know what play is okay with my cats and they caught on very quickly!
“I can't say enough how much I appreciate and love Ashten & Shelby! They did amazing with my pup as always and even earned some kitty cuddles which is very rare for my cats when they're around strangers. as an employee of Rover, this is the experience i hope for all Rover users”

“We love when Anna Lee stays with our pups! She is so attentive to their habits and needs, and they have clearly claimed her as part of their pack! She takes excellent care of our home, leaving it as good (if not better) than when we left. It's such a gift to be able to get away and not worry about our "krds" or home!”

“Allan takes very good care of TARS. He makes sure the guidance you place in his hands is taken care of to a T. He goes above and beyond to make sure if there is an issue it is resolved or that things are better than they were received. Couldn't have asked for a better sitter for TARS.”

“Great experience! Very communicative, followed all of our instructions carefully, and took great care of Paul, our 4 yr old golden with special medical needs, and our cat, Melon. Most importantly, Paul and Melon were happy and relaxed when we got home, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Our home was also clean and well cared for when we returned. We’d definitely book again!”

About: I won't just treat them as a "pet" I treat all animals as family. I have taken care of various dog and cats from family members and friends since I was a child. This included staying over, walking, feeding, training and playing. At the moment I am pursuing schooling for dog training so I have open availability for walks and drop ins! I usually ask for a days notice but it never hurts to ask. I have had experience with larger dogs (German shepherds, Great Pyerenese, Pitbulls and Saint Bernards) as well as small dogs (Chihuahua's, Shih Tzu and Dachshunds). I also provide baths and nail trimming when asked. I enjoy running too so if your looking to get your dog in shape! For pets coming to my house they must be crate trained (for when I sleep) and friendly with other dogs.
“Lori is a true gem! Our pups love her! She has taken care of our pets several times and we couldn't be happier. Most recently she house and pet sat for us for 9 days. It was wonderful to get away and truly relax because we knew our 3 pets were in Lori's capable hands. Thank you, Lori for the excellent care and love you give our fur babies. We greatly appreciate it!”

“Jade took wonderful care of all of my fur babies. They are not use to being around other humans, so I was really unsure of how this was going to go. Well, it went perfectly and I had nothing to worry about. She sent me many pictures every day which was wonderful. I will absolutely book Jade again the next time I need a sitter. My babies just loved her!”

About: My partner and I have taken care of dogs for many years. We have experience in training stubborn puppies. We know they are still learning manners and house etiquette, and have the patience to love them anyways. We love large dogs who love to cuddle, we love high energy dogs who love to run, and we love the tiny little ones who think they’re the biggest of all. All dogs from birth are called itty bitty little babies and will be loved unconditionally. No pup will be left without mandatory hugs and kisses. Since we have 2 Labradors of our own, we know that it’s important to keep them active. We have long walks every day, and we live within a mile of multiple parks where we can take them. We offer many toys and treats for quiet times, and we have minimum of 30 minute training sessions at least once a day. We believe in taking them outside many, many times a day. And nothing is better than outside play time.
“Bailey has watched our dog at our house several times and always does a great job! She keeps us posted on what’s happening and we come home to a happy dog and to find things the way we left them. Great pet sitter!”

About: I have been a dog house sitter for some family friends for over the course of a year. I connect instantly with dogs, they feel they can trust me. I have no professional training experience but am very patient with the dogs when necessary. I am currently in between jobs so am very flexible at the moment. Looking to get part or full time work soon. Prefer mornings and afternoons. Keep them mostly inside, as I do not have a fenced yard. Take them on daily walks. House is roomy to play around. Not looking for boarding.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Babb is $45

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 599 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Babb. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Babb walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Babb maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Babb choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Babb. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
