About: I’ve always been an animal lover. When I returned to Washington in 2013, my roommate, who had show dogs, taught me how to raise them for two years. I’m a dog enthusiast through and through, and life feels incomplete without a furry companion by my side. Currently, I’m unemployed and studying for my real estate license exam, so I have ample time to dedicate to my furry friends. My schedule is flexible and can accommodate any pet’s needs. When I take my furry family for walks, I ensure we both wear high-visibility gear so that everyone knows I’m carrying precious cargo. About: I’ve had dogs as well as cats since a very young age. As well as other animals. I’m just a huge animal enthusiast and love interacting and caring for them! I do pet care daily. About: Helping and caring for animals has been my passion ever since I was little. However, my journey towards fulfilling this dream didn’t start until I graduated high school. It was then that I began volunteering at a pet rescue shelter and a wildlife rehabilitation center in Illinois. I especially enjoyed volunteering at the pet rescue shelter. Helping cats and dogs has always been my utmost passion. I was such a familiar face when I volunteered at the pet rescue shelter, that they hired me on the spot when I asked them if they were hiring. This was one of my favorite jobs I ever had. Being able to care for these precious animals was one of my most rewarding life experiences. This job gave me ambition and helped solidify my dream of going to school to be a veterinarian. When I worked at this pet rescue shelter, my goal was to ensure that each and every animal's time at the shelter was as happy and stress free as possible. That being said, the hardest part of the job was not having enough time in the day to spoil 40-50 animals. I wanted to do it all! But I did my best to give each and every animal the physical and emotional enrichment that they needed and deserved with the time I was given. This included long walks and playing fetch with the hyperactive dogs. The dogs that were well socialized were put in the backyard with other dogs to play. I also made sure to give cuddle time with the friendly cats and dogs that really loved people. Along with spoiling these animals, I acquired a lot of experience working with cats and dogs that were aggressive and/or anxious due to their previous living situations, prior to arriving at the shelter. Due to these circumstances, I made sure to assess each animal individually. This is something I carry with me to this day. I never assume an animal's boundaries, regardless of if they have a previous bite history or not. I am also very comfortable with reading an animal’s body language. This includes de-escalating situations when an animal is fearful or upset. Along with working at a rescue shelter, I have 4 years of experience working as a kennel technician at a veterinary clinic and a year of experience as a veterinary receptionist. While I am not a doctor yet and cannot diagnose anything, I am happy to give you general advice on your pet’s health. Your pet’s happiness and health is my number one priority! I hope that this short bio convinces you that your pet will be in great hands. I am very experienced working with animals as it has been my life passion. About: Throughout high school I spent a lot of time walking my neighbors’ dogs, including some senior dogs and younger pups, and even dog sat a couple of times. As well as occasionally watching my aunt’s 3 dogs and 2 cats for about a week at a time. I do work part time as a closing server, as well as attending college classes at Pierce. About: As a fellow animal lover I know how important your furry friend is to you. I have grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals from rabbits to horses. I am a responsible, kind, fun-loving, attentive, and punctual person. Schooling background I graduated from LSU in August of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and from Bel-Rea in August of 2022 with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science with a focus in Animal Technology. Experience Besides taking care of my own pets while growing up I have also watched some of my family members pets. I have worked at a pet resort that specialized in dogs. At the pet resort my job was to feed, walk, cuddle, play with, and care for the multiple dogs every day; those dogs ranged from puppies, to mature, and older dogs in a variety of sizes and breeds. My animal experience doesn't end there I have helped take care of horses at Girl Scout camp, worked with wild life at multiple Zoos, and at a variety of vet clinics from general care practices to the ER. Availability I am a Vet technician at a general practice so typically work 4 days a week. Why I love dogs I have loved dogs since the day I met my first dog, Max. Max was more than just a dog he was my best friend which is why I know that your dog is more than just a pet to you, he or she is not only a family member but also friend.
