“Andrea did a wonderful job taking care of my dogs. She was always punctual, followed all instructions, and made sure they were happy and well cared for. Communication was great, and she kept me updated throughout. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. I would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“We had the best experience with Andreina and Mercedes!! They cared for our dog so well we were able to enjoy our time away with no worries. We will definitely rebook with them the next time we need a pet sitter!”

About: I have been an animal lover since I was a kid. I have been caring for pets since high school, where I started as a kennel assistant. Since then, I have known this job is for me! I am currently working from home! I have a very flexible schedule and I am able to work around your schedule to fit your needs best! Because of my Veterinary Technician career, I believe I am the best fit to care for animals and do well with pets that have special needs. I can also bathe and medicate if needed. This way, you will know your fur babies are taken care of!
“I HIGHLY recommend working with Lux (Emily B.). We needed a last minute cat sitter to come do a house stay. We were hesitant about leaving because our elderly cat had recently gotten injured, but Lux kept a careful eye on them the whole time and sent regular updates and sweet photos. They are kind, communicative, responsible, and genuinely love animals. They even stayed a bit longer than required to make sure our cat had company till we got home. So thoughtful, we will definitely be working with them again!”
About: I’ve been around and cared for animals for most of my life. In high school, I was part of a veterinary magnet program where I earned my CVA certification and got about two years of hands-on experience working as a vet tech. I spent around three years working in dog training as well. I’ve fostered both dogs and cats, which gave me experience helping animals with different personalities and needs adjust and feel comfortable. I have experience with pets of all different sizes and ages and I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, basic training, and of course giving them plenty of attention and love. Having pets of my own, I know how important it is to have someone you trust taking care of them. I currently work part-time and am also in school, but I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time for pet care. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and other care depending on what you and your pet need. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and any instructions you leave for me. I’m comfortable handling different personalities and needs, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and gets plenty of attention while in my care. I’ll treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would my own.

“What can we say except what a gem we found on Rover so our Sammy Sam felt comfortable and enjoyed his stay with Mia. She was excellent and sent images on a timely manner to include how often she took Sam for a walk. Will definitely keep her in mind next time we visit Miami”

“Nicole was the best with my baby Enzo! The whole time I felt completely at ease because she cared for him just as well as I would. I really appreciate how punctual she was, both for our meet and greet and on the day of the booking, which allowed me to leave home and catch my flight without any issues. She shared photos with me the entire time and was super transparent about her schedule, letting me know when she was with him or away from the house. She was very attentive to his routine and followed all the care instructions we gave her. She played with him, made sure he rested, and spoiled my little one. She went above and beyond our expectations, and Enzo loved her!”

About: I’ve taken care of friend’s and family’s pets for years when they’re away on vacation/travels. I pay attention to detail, meaning that I won’t just feed them and meet their basic needs; I will also share quality time with them so that they don’t feel alone, bored, or anxious while you’re gone. I’m a teacher, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pet now in the summer time. I’m very active and enjoy a good long walk, but I’m also very calm and focused. Your pet will feel like they have a companion while also having their needs met. I can easily follow directions in terms of what your pet needs to be safe in their home. Whether it’s getting them in a crate, walking around the neighborhood with their leash, playing outside if you have a patio, etc.
“David did AMAZING with Adora. He actually listened to my concerns and followed all the instructions for caring for a foster animal. He was extremely patient with her and walked her multiple times throughout the house, sitting (which I appreciated the most). Adora really needs as many walks as possible! Lastly, he happily obliged a last-minute request to stay overnight (during a holiday weekend, mind you) and did so seamlessly, without any miscommunication or issues. I HIGHLY recommend David, he is incredible!”

About: Caring for your pet is a joyful privilege. In general, the key is to observe their body language and to communicate to their understanding of things which is the most interesting part of it. My job is to keep your loved pet safe and engaged while developing a relationship with them over time. I will take care of all their food and potty needs, keep them lots of company every day and engaging with them throughout the day, and I will use my pet-caring experience and critical thinking skills to problem solve any rising issues with love. I work from home and therefore your pet is always in sight. All dogs and cats are given free range at home throughout the day and my household loves to give them attention. As a rule, we do not feed them human food and keep an eye on the them when the door is opened, although it is hard to escape from there. During walks I will not be distracted by my phone as you have to be alert for danger such as other dogs to avoid and stuff discarded on the floor. I am close to the airport in Miami and will send photos during the stay! *I actually tend to have a serious allergy to poodle sort of breeds* Thank you! I’m available for boarding throughout the month and, because I work from home, I can provide lots of company and many walks throughout the day, which I personally enjoy. Conveniently, I also live very centrally and close to the airport of Miami. To care for a pet in a home environment, the first thing is to ensure the pet’s safety from escape and hazards, particularly the floor and small tables. It's important to know where they are and what they are up to at all times. Another important factor is to make sure for the sturdiness of their leash against sudden thrusts (please provide a good leash). As of today, I have never had any serious problem with the pets under my care because I understand how delicate it is to be in charge for their well-being. Finally, nobody understands a pet better than the parents so all communication is welcome and encouraged.

About: I have experience with both dogs and cats, from helping in a vet clinic and working at a dog daycare to caring for my own pets over the years. I’m very patient with animals, attentive to their behavior, and I always try to follow each pet’s routine closely because I know that’s what helps them feel calm, safe, and happy while you’re away. I work remotely during the week (8am–5pm), so I’m available for reliable evening visits on weekdays. On weekends, I’m more flexible and available throughout the day. I’m a great fit for pets who are comfortable being alone during typical work hours and do best with a consistent routine. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I follow instructions closely and prioritize clear communication so you can feel completely comfortable while you’re away. 🪴💚

“Joseph was incredible! He took great care of my home and my pets. He was very attentive, responsive, respectful, and my animals truly enjoyed spending time with him. I can’t recommend him enough!! Best pet/house sitter EVER!”

About: Hi! Here's a little about me : As someone slowly trying to transition into a more vegan lifestyle, I've always loved animals ever since I was a little girl and I'm always the type of person to see a stray kitten and feed them immediately. I am on a constant mission of rescuing stray cats/animals and bringing them to safety. I myself have a one year old cat that I rescued from a park and I help take care of my partners french bulldog :). I have experience taking care of a variety of dogs, whether they are big or small. Some dog breeds I have cared of include french bulldog, pitbull, husky, golden doodle, australian shepard, and many more! I'm currently working part-time so I have alot of flexibility when it comes to my schedule. I am available on Tuesdays & Thursdays after 2 pm and all day on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday. As I am a college student, my availability will change nearing the end of August but I will remain available on certain times of the day. I have a fenced yard for play time in the backyard with pups. I also have a variety of toys to play with for cats and dogs as well as many treats. I always try to keep the house free of any scents such candles/diffuser in order to not harm my pets.

I couldn't have asked for a better sitter for Katara! He stayed at my place and made everything so easy and stress-free. From the start, he was kind, professional, and incredibly attentive. When I came home Katara looked happy and relaxed and like she had a great weekend of fun! I would recommend him 100%!

She was super accommodating with picking the cats up and dropping them off due to my scheduling needs! Definitely recommend more touch points and pics throughout stay next time :) but overall good! My cats can be loud at night sometimes when taken out of their environment so they were troopers with that and working on way to try to fix that! Thanks! :)

Joyce is simply amazing and goes above and beyond with every visit! She is a Trusted member of the pack, the furry kids love her, and I trust her completely. She’s very intentional, great with communication and cares so much about her clients. Highly recommend Joyce for all that she does.!

Dayelin is exceptional. She took excellent care of my babies and showered them with affection. She dedicated time to them and always sent us photos. We are very grateful for her care and will definitely be back. From the first day, we had complete confidence in her. She is very professional and responsible. We highly recommend her.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Doral on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 3,726 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Doral. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Doral walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Doral maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Doral choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Doral. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
