Snowden is great! We were new to working with a dog walker. We usually would drop Grace off at the dog sitter’s place because she can be protective of our house. Snowden worked with us the first two dog walks - taking time for Grace to get to know her. But Grace liked her from the start. Yesterday Snowden came by to take Grace on an hour long walk through the nearby park. She also was thoughtful to bring in some packages that were delivered on the front porch.

About: Hi! I’m Courtney — a true dog lover, experienced pet caregiver, and someone who treats every pet like family. As a dog mom myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, couch snuggles, or just a calm and reassuring presence, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have extensive experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and care needs, and I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and attentive to details. For house sitting, my standard rate includes typical care such as feeding, walks/potty breaks, companionship, overnight care, and lots of love. If your pet requires additional support — including senior care, medication administration, frequent potty breaks (every few hours), mobility assistance, separation anxiety management, or near-constant supervision — please let me know before booking, as these higher-needs situations may require custom pricing to ensure I can provide the level of care your pet deserves. Please be as detailed as possible about your pet’s routine, behaviors, and care needs so I can make sure we’re the right fit. Looking forward to meeting your furry family member!

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover who grew up with 3 dogs, and regularly pet sit for friends and family before deciding to make it official. Friends often call me an animal whisperer because even shy or nervous pets tend to warm up to me quickly. I work remotely, and am very active, so I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of attention (and activity)! I work remotely and have very flexible hours, so your pet will have plenty of time, walking, snuggling, and being active. I also attend run clubs where pets are allowed, so if your fur baby is social, I’ll happily take them! I have a backyard, and live in a community with plenty areas to walk and sniff. Pets are welcome to be on furniture and in bed! I’m an excellent communicator, and will work collaboratively with you to determine the best care plan for your pet.

About: As a dedicated dog walker and in-home pet sitter with over two years of experience, I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. I care for every dog (and cat!) as if they were my own — with patience, love, and attention to their unique needs and routines. What You Can Expect: ✅ Safe, fun, and tailored walks ✅ Home visits that follow your pet’s schedule ✅ Clean water, food, meds (if needed), and lots of affection ✅ Daily photo updates and messages so you never have to wonder how things are going ✅ Respect for your home and your pet’s space I’m trained in basic pet first aid and always check collars, leashes, and gates before heading out. Whether it’s a quiet walk or an energy-burning play session, your pet's safety and happiness are always my top priority. Let’s schedule a meet-and-greet! I’d love to learn more about your pet and how I can help make your time away stress-free for both of you. 🐶🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because of how flexible and rewarding it is. Since I set my own schedule, I can book pet care clients around my part-time job shifts and study blocks, which helps me stay balanced and productive. Walking dogs gives me a much-needed mental reset from screen time and studying, and it keeps me active throughout the day. It’s also a great way to supplement my income without taking on another traditional job. Most of all, spending time with animals brings me a lot of joy and motivation — it breaks up long study days and reminds me why I love what I do Whether you’re at work or away for a few days, I provide reliable, in-home care that keeps your pets safe, happy, and stress-free in their familiar environment. From daily walks to feeding, playtime, and medication routines, I tailor every visit to your pet’s unique needs. 🔐 Safety & Professionalism Equipped for pet first aid always carrying a kit Detailed home-entry and security protocols Leash and harness checks before every walk Weather-conscious and always alert to potential hazards Respectful of your home, your pets, and your time 📸 Peace of Mind After each visit, you’ll receive a photo and short update so you know how your furry friend is doing — because trust is built on communication

About: I love animals so much(perhaps more than people...). I have experience in taking care of dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Growing up I've had a puggle, boxer, and now two german shepherd mixes who were adopted from shelters. I've volunteered at animal shelters where I walked, cleaned, brushed, and fed dogs. Furthermore, I've pet sat for neighbors and family members. My dogs live with my parents in Cascade, so I don't live with dogs nor other humans at my house in Annapolis. I would love to take care of your pets! I will be starting a program that runs from M-F 9-3:30 soon, but am available after 3:30 M-F and all day on Saturdays/Sundays. I could walk, feed, or let out your pets before 9 as well. The M-F schedule will change come the end of July which would give me more availability on those days. When I'm at my parent's house, I let my dogs out in the mornings, feed them breakfast and dinner, give them medicine, go on walks/hikes, practice tricks and obedience tasks with them, and play with them. I'm more than happy to provide these services in my client's home too!

About: Hi there! My name is Lena, I'm 38 years old, and have been pet sitting professionally on and off for the last eighteen years. I started officially petsitting out in San Francisco and after moving back east, I professionally pet sat for a local company in the DC area for two years. I have experience in taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, turtles, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, and pigs. I love animals and enjoy taking care of them, so your pet will be in very safe and capable hands! My wife, who also works remotely full time helps me on occasion with taking care of your pets. You can check out her Rover profile at: https://www.rover.com/sit/sheiip87322 We guarantee that your pet will always be taken care of no matter what! I require meet and greets before confirming bookings with new clients. This is so we can both make sure that we’re a good fit, so please keep this in mind when choosing me as your sitter and allow sufficient time for this. I will not take new clients without meet and greets! *Pictures are of my cats and some of my dog walking and petsitting clients. I currently work as a freelance videographer/photographer and live in Edgewater. I have a very flexible schedule and mostly work remotely. I currently have three cats, so I’m used to having fur babies by my side 24/7. At the moment, I’m not accepting boarding clients. When I do stay at your home, I follow whatever routine your pet is used to. I know animals tend to stick to routines and try to be mindful of their daily schedules.

About: I’ve always been around animals—I currently have a dog and three cats, so I’m used to daily care, feeding, and handling different personalities. I’ve also helped take care of my mom’s and brother’s pets over the years, so I’m comfortable stepping into someone else’s routine and making sure their animals are taken care of the right way. I’m patient, reliable, and I actually pay attention to details like feeding schedules, behavior, and making sure pets feel comfortable while you’re away. My schedule is pretty consistent, so I can plan around your pet’s needs. I’m available most days and can do mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on what’s needed. I already take care of my own pets daily, so feeding, walks, and check-ins are part of my routine. I’m flexible and good with sticking to whatever schedule your pet is used to. I treat other people’s pets the same way I treat my own. I pay attention to routines, feeding instructions, and behavior so your pet stays comfortable and stress-free. I have experience with multiple animals at once, including my own dog and cats, so I’m used to different personalities and energy levels. I keep a clean, safe environment and can follow any specific instructions you have, including crating if needed.

About: I’ve had animals growing up all of my life including goats, horses and dogs from small to large. I have experience in both their care and for understanding their needs through hand on situations and passion. I especially love dogs because of their loyalty, love and tail wags! I’ve had my current dog from a puppy for the last year and a half and have loved seeing her grow! Your dog will always be the only dog I am watching along with mine and you can rest assure that your pup is well taken care of! I only am only available weekends with occasional changes upon request and that’s simply so that I can devote myself to being with your pet for as much of their stay as I can provide. My husband also is in the house will assist in any care needs, as he is passionate about dogs as well :) I typically take my dog on walks 4-5x a day or fetch sessions in the yard and can adjust scheduling as needed. My dog is friendly (very) with dogs of all shapes and sizes, is up to date on all shots and vaccinations, and has no history of violence. We are a pet friendly household that can accommodate crate training or more spoiled pups who enjoy being on the furniture as much as my Ellie does. I heavily respect rules and any needs/boundaries that you may have with caring for your pet all within good reason.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have been a veterinary technician for 8 years, so your pup will be in knowledgeable, experienced hands. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering medications, recognizing signs of stress or illness, and handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I stay home with my toddler, which means your dog will receive plenty of supervision, structure, and love throughout the day. I also have two very friendly, well-socialized dogs of my own who love making new friends. I treat every dog like part of the family and understand how important it is to have someone you fully trust caring for your pet. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I’m home full-time and already structured around consistent schedules. Our days include regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest periods, so adding another pup into that rhythm is easy and intentional. I plan my day around the dogs’ needs — whether that’s supervised outdoor time, enrichment activities, or quiet crate breaks — making sure each pet feels comfortable, safe, and included. Because I’m home, your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will always have attentive, hands-on care. I have a fenced yard for free roaming with my dogs or play time. I also have space for crates if you dog needs to be crated during the night or any specific time.

About: I love all kinds of animals!! I have grown up around dogs my whole life. I used to walk my neighbors dogs all throughout high school and college. I treat every animal I take care of as my own dog, with lots of care and love!!! I have undergone a routine of caring for my own dog, with walking multiple times a day, playing with a bunch of toys, and making her entertained. I am open to caring for other pets and giving them the love I give my own dog. I work in the restaurant business so I have a good amount of free time! I love reaching out to owners when I am watching your dog. I will send lots of updates, photos, and everything in between while you're away!! After years of taking care of pets, I have come to understand that every animal is different and needs their own routine and care!

I walk the dogs, feed them, play with them, I do take them on car rides etc to make sure they’re happy and healthy. Dogs say I have a good sense of humor they really warm up to me. About: I have always lived with dogs my whole life. Would pet sit for any family or friends when needed. I have so much love and patience for all animals!! Good with playing, walks, and even bath time! I currently don’t have a job so I’m just looking for some easy money while doing something I know I would enjoy as I love to be around pets! I could stop by whenever fits into their daily schedule or even hang out for a while if nothing is going on! I would not be offering to have pets in my own home as it would be chaos for my 2 dogs. But I would pay much attention to the pets in their owners home whether we are inside or outside, no matter what we’re doing!

About: I've had pets throughout my whole life, but as I got older and moved out of parents house they become very expensive. So, instead of getting my own pet, I use this site to engage myself with the precious animals. I currently work full-time through the week. I fit pet care time in on the weekends when I have nothing planned. I can totally do potty breaks after work hours. I care for the pets by giving them attention, playing with them(outdoors/indoors), feeding them, taking them outside for potty breaks, and cuddling because animals needs love too.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
