About: My partner and I live in Astoria with our dog Inky! We fostered a dog for 2 months and miss having a 2nd dog around! Currently we don't have time for a full time 2nd dog but would love to go on walks/ board other dogs with our 4 year old Inky. Both Steven and I have fostered dogs individually and together and we understand the priceless feeling of a worry-free boarding experience for dog parents! We feel that caring for other people's pet children is a true honor! I'm working part time and my partner Steven WFH some days. We go to the park most weekend mornings and like to spend the entire day with the dog(s). Whether it is at home snuggling on the couch, or at a dog-friendly coffee shop. We make sure to not leave small items (ex. airpods) laying around, garbage is thrown away, and the apartment is very much baby/dog-proofed in general.

About: I am available this month for dog sitting and dog walking. I had experience with smaller breeds but will happily care for a bigger dog. I love engaging and playing with dogs of all sizes! I believe playtime is very important for pets. With the added bonus of helping another person who might not have as much time on their hands, or who is unable to walk their beloved pets. My weekly routine involves the occasional dog walking gig and playing with my cat. My schedule will be open for the foreseeable future. I do not provide at home boarding at the moment. I have a cat of my own and he is not good with other pets.

About: I am retired and have recently relocated to northern jersey. I am an avid animal lover. I have always had my own pets. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my fur baby of 13 1/2 years and am not quite ready to adopt at this time but sincerely miss having an animal in my life. I am helping to care for a dear friend’s cat and although truthfully I am more a "dog" person, I now find myself beginning to appreciate "cats”. Cats are really fascinating (and a lot different) than dogs. I believe that I am a person who you can trust with one of your most prized possessions, your "fur-babies". I love walking, so dog walking is a win win!! Drop in visits are also no problem!! Unfortunately. I am unable to offer pet sitting at this time. I love to walk and especially enjoy walking for a furry companion. Home visits for either dogs and cats are also something I enjoy doing. I am currently unavailable for pet sitting. However, I do prefer walking small or medium dogs and will give them the exercise and/or company they need.

About: Animals are the center of my universe. I grew up with animals of all kinds; cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, birds, fish, ferrets. I’m currently a mom to a female golden retriever, two beautiful ferret daughters and a baby boy bird. I hope to retire one day and own an animal rescue farm. I believe it is our job as humans to give all sentient beings the absolute best love and care and to make sure they feel safe. I am keen to make sure wildlife is safe wherever possible. I’ll pull over on the side of the road to help turtles cross to the other side of the reservoir. On a daily basis I will prioritize every animal from the moment I wake up. I can and will do it all. Feeding, cleaning, walking, playing, giving them love and attention. As I mentioned above, animals are the center of my universe. I want each and every animal to trust me and feel safe with me while under my care.

I make sure pets feel safe and cared for, and I always keep you updated with regular check-ins and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. “Lauren was wonderful with our 4 cats. I would definitely recommend her as a pet sitter and will be asking her to drop in daily for us again. Our oldest cat required medicine in her food which Lauren was no stranger to, as she has done that with her own animals. The most timid of our cats came out for head scratches by the end of the 5 days - a sure sign that she is gentle and knows animals. She was also able to drop in around the same time each day, which was important for the cat that needed medication and was good for the animals. They are probably less anxious with a routine visiting time. 2 thumbs up!”

I work a part time job so in my free time I like walking dogs and seeing other dogs and everything they have to give. I have a fence so he can play when he wants on the deck or if he wants a walk. If they misbehave I can crate them so they can learn.

“Alina was fantastic. I'm so happy I found her. She stepped in to take care of 2 cats 2 times a day for over 2 weeks on pretty short notice. Communication wasn't easy since I'm overseas in a different time zone but it worked. I loved getting her pics and notes everyday, seeing how well she cared for Tara and Kora. We had an intro meeting ahead of our planned visits, and after that we had an unexpected change of plans and he was able to accommodate a different schedule on short notice. He was on time, responsive, and dependable. He played with the cat, fed him, changed his water, and cleaned his litterbox. Erick also went above and beyond, ie he brought in packages left on the porch and pulled in the trash container from the curb after the weekly pickup. Highly recommended.”
