“Abby is an absolute gem and so amazing with my lilo. She completely gets animals and is extremely reliable. I feel completely relieved knowing lilo is in her care. So happy i found her!!!”

“Amanda took great care of our two senior cats along with our fish while away. We returned from vacation to relaxed and happy pets! Along with a tidy house. You can tell Amanda pays great attention to detail. Will definitely have her pet sit for us again!”

About: My current crew: a sweet dog, two cats, and a 22-year-old ball python I’ve had since grade school. I’m experienced with traditional pets, rodents*, and reptiles*, and I provide gentle, attentive care for animals of all kinds. As a full-time remote worker, I’m home throughout the day and can offer a consistent, calm presence. Whether your pet is energetic, elderly, or a little shy, I’m happy to follow their routines and give them lots of love. I’m also comfortable with medications, special diets, and senior pet needs. I treat every home with respect, and every animal like family. ⸻ 🐶 Dogs I have an old-time Scotch Collie, age four. She’s a well-trained, responsive, dog-friendly pup. I have an open-concept/split level house that I gate off to provide different spaces for dogs to decompress and have their own, dedicated area while still being a part of the family. If personalities don’t mesh or if your dog is older or more reserved, I can easily separate the pups in our space. I live just off a bike path and walk or run daily with my collie. I’m happy to meet whatever cadence of walks your dog prefers. I also have a small fenced area where I offer potty breaks or I will walk them around our 1 acre property. Your dog won’t scare my cats—in fact, they may become friends. My two long-haired cats are incredibly mellow. In past dog-sitting experiences, they’ve remained totally unbothered by barking, sniffing, or attention-seeking dogs. They’re actually so mellow and I don’t know why, they’re just weird. When a new animal arrives, they’ll investigate, decide whether it’s worth their attention, and then go take a nap. ⸻ 🐱 Cats If I’m sitting for your cat, I will provide a private room in the house, complete with their own litter box and space to climb, lounge, and settle in. I don’t believe in forcing intermingling with my resident pets—I want your cat to feel safe and relaxed. I will check in regularly for play, attention, and cuddles on their terms. —Unique Family Members— 🐭 Rodents I’ve had six pet rats in my life and think they’re some of the most wonderful animals—smart, affectionate, and full of personality (I even broke a toe playing tag with one when I was little!) I’m happy to care for any small critter and always consider them part of the family. I also have experience with hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs. ⸻ 🦎 Reptiles Although I only have Rex right now (my 22-year-old ball python), I’ve also cared for a variety of lizards and feeder animals. From bearded dragons to leopard and crested geckos, I’m familiar with preparing collard green salads, dusting crickets, maintaining humidity and temperature, and ensuring overall habitat health. I’ve even ordered crickets in bulk—so I know they require care too! While Rex is currently fed frozen rodents, I’m also comfortable managing live prey animals if your reptile/s require them. As a full-time remote worker, I’m home throughout the day and can easily build pet care into my routine. I take regular breaks to go for walks, give attention, or check in on animals staying with us. My mornings and evenings are flexible, so I can match your pet’s normal schedule—whether that’s medication timing, playtime, or feeding routines. Animals are a natural part of our daily rhythm here, and I love incorporating their care into my day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, animals are never left unsupervised with each other until we know everyone is comfortable. New pets are introduced slowly and calmly, with plenty of space to decompress. Sometimes personalities don’t click, in which case we easily keep them apart so that everyone is happy. I follow your pet’s routines as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding times, medication, or exercise—and I’m always happy to check in with updates. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with respect and follow any specific instructions you leave. I’ll keep your pet’s world feeling familiar and low-stress until you’re home again.

“Outstanding care for our 12 1/2 year old Labradoodle. Jess was so accommodating with a last minute emergency that came up. Went beyond our expectations when we saw our daily photos. If there were 6 stars I would have given them to her! Highly recommend!”

“Leah is very kind and was open to meeting me and the dogs beforehand, which I really appreciated for ease of mind. Everything went smoothly, and my pets were taken care of. While I had hoped for daily updates, I didn’t specifically ask for them—so that’s something I’ll be sure to clarify next time. Overall, it was a positive experience and my 2nd time booking on Rover ever.”

“Annalyse was wonderful. Very prompt and great communication. She was willing to work with us on very short notice. I am 100% confident my 3 cats were well cared for. Loved receiving pictures every time she stopped by! Thanks, Annalyse!”

About: What sets me apart is my deep, genuine connection with animals and my many years of hands-on experience. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities — from playful puppies learning the ropes to senior pets who need a gentler touch and extra patience. I’m intuitive when it comes to reading an animal’s needs and adapting to their energy level, whether that means an adventurous walk, a fun play session, or calm cuddle time. Because I recently lost my own beloved dog, I understand how important it is to find someone who will love and care for your pet like family. I pride myself on reliability, clear communication, and creating a safe, happy environment for every animal in my care. Your pet’s well-being is always my top priority. Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pet the attention they need — whether that’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or extended stays. I enjoy starting my mornings with fresh air and exercise, so walks fit perfectly into my day, and I’m equally happy to spend time playing, cuddling, or simply keeping your pet company. Weekends and evenings are just as open, so I can easily adjust to your pet’s routine to keep them happy and comfortable. When I care for pets in their home, I make it my priority to keep their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow your instructions closely — from feeding times and walks to favorite toys and cozy spots — so your pet feels safe and at ease. I provide plenty of love, playtime, and companionship, and I’m attentive to their needs and moods. I also keep your home tidy and secure, and I send regular updates so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in loving hands.

About: My wife and I have had paws in our house almost from day 1. Over the years we have had 6 dogs and 7 cats, all of which came on board as puppies or kittens, and they all lived long and happy lives. Currently we have 1 dog and 2 cats. I am now retired, so I have maximum flexibility to schedule sitting/walking times. The biggest competitors for my time are the grandkids, and the lawnmower in the summer and snow shovel in the winter. Our cats are indoor cats with access to a screen porch to satisfy their outdoor desires. We have used the Invisible Fence for our previous larger dogs. The client would set the requirements for care at the pet's home. I also have walking shoes and a leash for doggie exercise. I have not signed up to care for client's animals at our house.

“Pat was flexible with some unforeseen changes and willing to help out if she could. Good communication, even crawled next to the bed where one of my cats was hiding to give her some love. My other cat wasn't as shy and Pat gave her lots of love and belly rubs.”

About: I’ve been a pet owner my entire adult life. I grew up with dogs and raised three of my own. I was a foster parent for Secondhand Hounds before adopting two of my own rescues. I’ve also raised animal lovers and my daughter is currently attending Cornell to become a veterinarian. I’m an awesome photographer and you’ll likely come away from the experience with some great photos of your furry family member. I currently work full-time, until June, when I am retiring from owning a daycare. Until then, I’m available evenings and weekend. Starting in the summer, I will be wide open for extensive pet sitting. I have a fenced in yard for my dogs, but am familiar with invisible fence dog security and love long dog walks around the neighborhood.

About: i don’t have a dog of my own, but i have experience babysitting friends and family’s dogs. i also helped at the humane society with feeding, walking and providing enrichment for dogs. i am currently a full time high school student. so any pet care visits or walks would be after school hours, after 3pm is the best. i have 3 cats of my own so i feed, clean, and play with them. in a clients home i would do the same and respect any rules or expectations they have with their household.

About: Retired teacher and lifelong dog owner. I currently have two sweet malitpoos. I am available for drop in visits and/or dog walking near the Minnetonka area. I have a flexible schedule as a retired teacher. I am happy to do drop in visits and/or walk your dog if you live near the Minnetonka area. Drop In Visits would include food and water as well as lots of snuggles and play time. Dog walking is also another service I offer.

About: Hello! I am a lifelong pet lover! I grew up on a farm, so animals and their well-being were my responsibility from a young age. Most recently our family adopted a sweet Cavapoo (Lady May) who loves playtime, walks, and snuggles! I am home during the day, making pickups/drop offs flexible and potty breaks frequent! While I do have kids and a husband who also love dogs, I will be responsible for your pups care when they are in our home. I am home most days! I have a flexible schedule that can accommodate your pup’s specific needs. Happy to discuss schedules and how to best keep your pup happy and calm. We live in a walkable neighborhood, so leashed walks are frequent! We do not have a fenced in yard, but make up for that with play and long walks (or short if that’s preferred). I will be responsible for all walks and care for your pup. My kids and husband love dogs, and will provide snuggles, but I will be responsible for your pet’s needs.

Dave M.
“I have known Dave for over 50 years and he has always shared his life and love with critters! They are who he greets first when on a walk in the neighborhood or on the beach! Even the shy and less approachable ones seek him out!! He has always shared his home with cats and dogs and a few hamsters and Guinea pigs, but he also has been known to train chipmunks to eat peanuts from his hand and calmly hold exotic snakes!! They say animals know who they can trust; they know that Dave is that kind!”

Jana S.

Deephaven dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ella was absolutely fantastic for our first Rover experience and we’d be super happy to have her back again. It was such a relief to let our dog stay home instead of going to the kennel. Ella asked great questions before taking the request, left comforting feedback while we were away & we came home to a perfectly cared for happy dog. Thank you Ella!!

Amy was great! Punctual and very responsive with messages. She took great care of our dog and kept me up to date with how he was doing and sent pics too. Our dog seemed like he was a pretty happy pooch even with his usual family being gone. Would love to have her back the next time we’re in need of dog care.
