About: I started dog sitting in college, and now, four years later I have become the go to person for a number of friends, family and more. I'm currently between school programs, with ambitions toward grad school. I have a lot of free time on my hands and want to do something more useful, why not make it fun as well. I'm big on actually spending time with your pets, whether it's taking them out to play around or just sitting around with them while they rest. I will always take into account how you normally take care of your pet and do my best to keep them on their regular routine.

About: I have had animals all throughout my life (mostly dogs and cats, but I did have a bunny for a little bit). I currently have 3 fur babies myself, 1 dog and 2 cats, that are my babies! I love animals and am totally that person that is more likely to say "hey" to a dog than to a human! lol! My dog is 4 and has anxiety. We have done a lot of training to help with her anxiety, so I am used to dealing/working with dogs that have anxiety. I also am comfortable around dogs of all sizes (in my family we have a Pug, Great Dane, Chocolate Lab, Silver Lab, Australian Sheppard, and Boxer mix). Have no fear, your fur babies will be in great hands and will get lots of snuggles! I currently work full time Monday-Friday, but I have a little flexibility as long as I give my management a heads up. Availability: Monday-Friday: before 8am and after 5pm Saturday & Sunday: All day I fully understand that each animal is different and may have specific needs. I also understand the importance of being consistent with schedules or commands. I will follow directions provided and respect your requests. I will treat your fur baby(ies) like they are my own with respect facilitating an environment of trust.

About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 2 year old and 5 year old and infant. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and barn cats. Both me and my husband have owned dogs all our lives, as well as worked in animal care. Professionally, i have experience as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler. I boarded dogs while attending college in Richmond, and took a break to focus on my career. Now that I have more free time I’d like to start up again as I absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash an Australian Shephard and Littles a mutt. Both love to play!! Cash is a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 14 and recently lost his sight, he’ll try and keep up with Cash but mostly he just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy in their late twenties, too many chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.

About: I grew up with big dogs in the house, and had my own 120lb pup until recently. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes. Since I work at home, I can cater to your dogs specific needs, such as more frequent potty breaks or walks, playtimes, etc. I do have 2 kids in the house, 10 and 12, who love dogs and are eager to help out with feedings and playtime! They will never be left unsupervised with your dog. I live in an area with great walking trails, creeks and ponds, so your dogs will have plenty of opportunities for walks and outside time. ** Please note that my schedule books up quickly because I only board one dog at a time. Dates cannot be held without payment and must be reserved through the Rover platform to confirm your stay. ** My work at home flexibility allows me to be more attentive and available to your dogs specific needs. Need more walks? No problem! Special feeding times? I’m home and ready to accommodate. I do not have a fenced yard but we do have a great closed off deck where your dog can spend afternoons in the fresh air. I don’t have any other pets in the home so your dog is my only pet priority. I love walking the trails with dogs, and bringing them to the creek, or parks to play. If your dog is sensitive to other dogs or cats, that’s good to know as well. However, I cannot care for aggressive dogs. If your dog is aggressive towards cats, other dogs, or children, PLEASE be honest. I do not have the expertise to de-escalate aggressive behaviors, and honesty is really the only way to ensure both myself and your dog have a safe walk/board. I’m also happy to come to you for dog walks and/or playtime. Please note: due to my and my family’s safety, I do not invite (human) guests into my home. Meet and greets will be conducted at a local neutral location and drop offs will be done outside. Thank you for understanding!

About: I’ve had dogs since I could afford to care for them on my own. I enjoy spending down time playing, walking, and snuggling with my dog. I’ve raised two foster puppies and of course fell in love but had to part with them. I have a fenced in yard so animals can be outside when weather permits. I work from home all of the time so I am here for frequent potty breaks and working on manners and behaviors. I can feed and give medications, etc. I have a dog and friendly cats that hang out outside when possible. I have a fenced in yard so animals can run around as they wish. I have crates in case animals need to be separated or work on potty issues.

About: Hi! Our family loves dogs and we want to open our home to yours. Growing up, I had an Eskimopoo as a brother, and he was the most important being in my life. In 2009, after moving to Maryland from New Jersey, I adopted my current dog, Simi, from a shelter. She was abused, so it took some work and time to warm her up. Simi has gone from shy and timid to an important part of our family of 3 and the most loving and gentle dog you will ever meet. My 4 year old son was born into this world with Simi by his side and only knows a world with dogs in it. He loves dogs so much, that we adopted Ginger last year, a senior dog abandoned by her owner. Unfortunately, we lost Ginger to cancer a few months later Our loving family will make sure your beloved dog receives snuggles and belly rubs all day and night and be treated as part of the family. I know how hard is it to leave your dog to go on a business trip or vacation. So we will do everything we can to ensure your dog is safe and loved while you enjoy some time away. As a recently terminated federal employee, I am ready to spend the day with your loving pup on walks, playtime or just have a fun time in our fully fenced 1 acre yard! Your pet will make sure I get the excercise I need! I very much care for animals and their well-being, I will make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable knowing s/he will be sad missing mommy or daddy. Having a senior dog, Simi, my children are trained to be gentle and create a respectful environment for any pet guests we may have. If I am visiting your home, I will ensure to respect your pet's boundaries and ease my way into their safety zone. Eventually I hope to become a part of their routine.

About: I work at a veterinary emergency room, had my own dog sitting business where word of mouth was my only marketing for over a decade. Since I was 7 years old I have been watching dogs and cats from tea cup chihuahuas to Saint Bernards, walking, feeding, playing, ensuring their safety, and sleeping with them. I also stay up a little late so the puppies usually get one extra night time walk around 11:30 or 12, wake up around 6:30 or 7 am to do our morning walk and breakfast. I always ask questions to learn any routines that the family follows, I stick to those routines. At my home, we have two very friendly dogs that love to play. We go for walks in the woods and at the school, if allowed we go to dog parks, and we have snuggle time. At the families house, I always ask what the family does and try to see if there is a nice area to walk there or if they have a fenced in yard and want to play fetch, etc.
