About: Hi! I’m Christina, and I’m passionate about animals! We are available for daily stays during your vacation, summer stays, and Sturgis! I’ve been pet-sitting for over 10 years, and it’s been a wonderful way for me to combine my love of animals with a flexible schedule. I started when I began working remotely, and I’ve had extensive experience with both in-home pet sitting and dog walking. I know how hard it can be for pets and their owners when they’re apart, so I always strive to make the experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Keeping your pets active and entertained is one of my top priorities, whether it's a fun walk, playtime, or simply providing companionship. I work full-time with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to spend a lot of time with your animals during the day. Plus, my fiancé , Jeremy, assists me with my services. Jeremy works full-time remotely in IT, which allows him to help with pet sitting and walking whenever needed. This means your pets will receive plenty of attention and care throughout the day. Whether it’s for a short stay or a longer period, we’re happy to accommodate your needs and make sure your pets are well cared for and loved while you’re away. If you have any questions or specific requests, I’d be more than happy to answer them. We look forward to helping you and your furry friend! I'm a full time professional with a flexible schedule. I'm able to spend the majority of the weekdays with them and can spend all the time on in the evenings and weekends. I'm also available to check in or stay with your animals while you are in town for vacation and need coverage for a few hours. Their safety is my top priority while you are away. I keep a good eye on them and don't like to by physically away from them for long as I know it can be a hard transition sometimes.

“Nathan is phenomenal with Billy!! He not only takes him for walks but he helps him learn tricks and shows Billy all the attention he so craves. He is a puppy so patience is necessary and Nathan definitely has that. Nathan is great with communication as well, always letting me know how Billy is doing and if he sees that maybe something is off with Billy health wise. I definitely trust him to take great care of my pup. :)”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was old enough to walk. I have experience with a wide range of animals. I love every critter big or small and love caring for them. I am no stranger to caring for senior, sick, and/or injured animals. I would love to put your mind at ease with great pet care! I am a college student on summer break. I am working, but my schedule is flexible and I can make most things work. I would love to work it out to be able to care for your animals! I am ready and able to provide any service your fur baby needs. We can play, walk or just hangout in a safe space with a safe person when I look after your animals.

About: I have house sat multiple times for the same families, which included care for both dogs and cats. One family had ill animals that needed special pills and diets, while the other had a puppy who needed walks to remain calm. I follow the instructions of the owners as best I can, and attempt to give the animals as much love and attention as I can offer. I was paid professionally to care for animals when I worked as a personal assistant for three years. I know that it can be hard work to care for animals, but I am willing to put forth the effort for them. I have had and cared for them all of my life, and I look forward to caring for yours! I work full time, but can be flexible with my lunch break. At the least, I could drop in three times a day or stay with them in the evenings. On weekends, if I am petsitting or dropping in, your pup or cat would be my highest priority and my schedule is much more flexible. Petsitting: When staying at a client's home, I keep the area tidy and try to spend more time with the pet than not. When I am not at work, I would be able to walk, play, and cuddle to their heart's content. If I have social plans, I adjust them to the pets needs so they are not left alone for too long. Dogwalking & Drop-Ins: After walking/playing with/checking on your pup, I would ensure they have adequate water and a treat, then give them some time to rest. Once I've ensured they've cooled down, I would let them out once more before topping off their water and leaving them for a nap. During the work weeks, walks would be at noon and after 5pm, but weekends are flexible.

About: I have been a pet-owner since I was ten years old. I used to do campground pet care from age 10-13. I am pretty great at bonding with animals, getting to be their friend, and helping them get the exercise and attention they need! I love animals that come in all shapes and sizes and I am confident that I will be a great companion for your pet in any way that they need. I love to spend time in the park with my own pets, letting them splash in the creek, playing fetch, running with them, and showing them some good old-fashioned love. Our pets are too often overlooked and Rover is a great opportunity to for your pet to get some love too! I’m currently pursuing my online degree in Recreational Tourism Management and using River as an opportunity to make money on the side! My schedule is virtually open! I have 2 cats of my own, and a family dog—a doberman—so boarding in my own home isn’t terribly ideal for me. I am however very flexible with coming to clients’ homes and giving their pets all the attention they need!

“Kim did a great job with Sasha, arriving on time and walking her out in the Black Hills, in places that suited her temperament and needs. Also, it was helpful ti receive pictures and a report each time. Sasha was well taken care of.”

“We love Susan! Susan is amazing with Enzo! She is responsive, flexible, and punctual. She made an extra trip for our meet and greet to make sure that Enzo was comfortable. Can’t thank you enough! See you soon ?”

“Matilyn did a great job walking our dogs! She also let me that our female dog was showing signs of a UTI. Took her to the Vet the next day and sure enough, our dog did have a UTI! We would definitely rebook Matilyn!”

“Tara was super helpful and amazing! Kept me updating on my pup and went above and beyond to give him attention!”

About: I have lived in households with pets my entire life as well as taken care of countless peoples animals while they have been busy or out of town. I go to the dog park just about every day and am well versed in how animals interact with each other and how to make them as comfortable as possible. I am back in the Black Hills until September when school starts up again for me! I am very free and would love to watch some pets of all kinds. I have my own dog and I can have them hang out or she can stay at home just as easily!! I care for all pets in my home and in others the same way, with love and respect. It’s incredibly important for the animals you are dealing with to trust you and I work to ensure that trust at all times.

“Doreen took great care of our pup while we stayed in Wall and visited the great parks. We can't recommend her enough.”

About: I love animals of all kinds, but dogs are my sweet spot. I think they are the purest, most genuine, source of innocence and unconditional love on this planet. Dogs have always been a part of my life. I've had big dogs, small dogs, puppies, senior dogs, dogs with health issues like diabetes, high strung dogs, nervious dogs...you name the challenge, I've most likely taken it on, or I am willing to take it on. In my personal opinion, life without a dog is a life that is lacking. After my best friend and fur companion of 15 years (Ruby) crossed the rainbow bridge, I took a year to grieve. During that time we took care of a strangers dog for 115 days while he went into recovery so that he wouldn't have to surrender his dog. We fell in love with his dog Kota, and gained a friend in him as well, but we were just as excited when they were finally able to reunite. Recently David and I once again became pup parents to our Maui, a minibernedoodle. As your Rover sitter, I promise I will treat your pup as if it were my own. Not only will your pups' needs be met, but he/she will be loved unconditionally and will be given care, time, and attention as if he/she were on a vacation! I promise. I am completely retired now and so is my husband David. We are outdoorsy people so chances are, your dog will be outdoors with us - on an adventure, in the car, in the front yard playing or raking, or out back playing ball or relaxing. We are very laid back and pretty much home-bodies. We live on 3.5 private acres just 5 miles out of town. Our humble home has always been pet friendly including furniture and beds. None of our dogs have been crated, but if that's your thing and you bring your crate, we'll make room and abide by your rules. We have a doggie door leading out to our large back yard that is fenced and also offers sunny and shady spots for dogs to enjoy. Beyond the fence is woods and after play, the pups always love to lounge and watch and listen for wildlife moving about. Typically you will find me out there as well lounging on the back deck reading a book. In addition to the house and fenced yard, David has groomed a path around our property for walking if for some reason we can't load up in the vehicle and go on an adventure - don't forget to bring your pups leash!

About: I grew up with dogs and I currently have a black lab who lives with my husband. I’ve dog sat for friends and family throughout my life. I love to run, walk and be outside in nature. Dogs are definitely considered family to me! I am a travel nurse from South Dakota but currently live in Des Moines. I work night shift so during the day I’m around. My days are generally grouped together but letting pets out or walking are both doable! I can do overnights and watch for periods of time it will just depend on my schedule. I always want to respect the animal and let them come to me to meet and get to know me first. I love to play fetch or with whatever toys they like.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. Family and friends love when I come by to give their dogs attention. I also take good care of animals like how I want to be treated. Pet care can fit into my schedule I am home mostly during the day and I work on my own time. You can count on me. I love to go for walks no matter how cold it is, and I love to play with dogs or cats. I would take good care of the animals.

About: I have had a dog of my own since I could remember, and since getting out on my own I’ve realized how scary it is to trust someone with my animals because I’m always scared they won’t be treated the same as how I treat them therefore I decided I wanted to help other people just like me! I work from home and love to be in the comfort of my own home so I’m always home to be with your fur baby. I have a large fenced in yard that has been escape proofed due to my 2 babies that love to run. I have many many years of relevant experience.

About: My memories of loving dogs and cats extends back decades. I quickly and naturally build bonds of trust with companion animals - we adore one another! Grateful for a weekly schedule that offers me lots of flexibility, I'm typically available to meet the needs of your pets, either prescheduled or spontaneously Available to pop-in for walks, feedings and/or to simply spend time comforting your pets with my presence. Welcoming Custer residents and Tourists to the Southern Hills

About: I have owned and loved animals all my life. From cats and dogs, to llamas, horses and even raising an orphan buffalo, animals are my passion. I would love to provide quality care and compassion for your fur baby! I’m retired, an Army veteran and still enjoy staying busy. My schedule affords me the unique opportunity to be available to provide services during the work week as needed. I will care for your pets as if they were mine and provide love, attention and compassion. Your animals are family, and I will respect them and your home.
