About: I am the definition of a pet lover!! All my life I have owned all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, lizards, frogs, snakes, and birds. I’ve been pet sitting since I was 12, I made money as a young teenager by passing out flyers in my neighborhood offering walks and play sessions. I’ve cared for many different breeds and sizes, and as an adult I have raised and trained 2 puppies, a Pit Bull and German Sheppard, and adopted four seniors. I currently sit for family and close friends regularly. I have a 9 year old chihuahua mix named Tucker and a chameleon named Skittles I am currently working full time but I am off Thursday-Saturday and off at 2 on the days I do work so I am available and time that I am not at work! I will treat your furry family members the same way that I treat mine, my chihuahua Tucker lives his life like a king! He sleeps in the bed with me and my wife every night and we have a fenced in dog park at my apartments so he gets to run around and play fetch and then when we are done he expects his massage session with my impact massage gun, we also have a grooming station on site so he very much enjoys his weekly baths. At my dads when I pet sit for him I take his German Sheppard Elsa on long walks and play hide and seek with her in the house(she always wins) My sister has a Golden retriever puppy so when he isn’t sleeping he is wanting to play chase and fetch in the back yard.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I treat every dog as family, making sure they’re happy, clean, and comfortable. I’m experienced with puppy training and senior pet care, and I’m continuing to build my skills with every new furry friend I meet! 🐶❤️ I’m a full-time nursing student, so my schedule is pretty flexible outside of class and study time. Pet care easily fits into my routine because I love spending my free time walking, playing with, and caring for animals. It’s something that helps me de-stress and brings balance to my week. I got to school M,W,R,F and I’m available after 11:05 on those days! 🐾 When caring for pets, I make sure they’re always safe, comfortable, and loved. I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can play freely and safely, along with two friendly goldendoodles who love company. Whether pets are at my home or theirs, I always keep the space clean, well kept, and filled with love, attention, and fun! 🐶

About: What truly sets me apart is not just my love for dogs, but the hands-on experience I have caring for a wide range of breeds and personalities. I currently have three dogs of my own a sweet 8-year-old Chihuahua-Yorkie mix who is our spoiled little baby, a very energetic Shih Tzu who keeps me on my toes, and a gentle giant of a German Shepherd who’s just a big cuddly lovebug. Because of them, I have real-life experience managing everything from small, senior pups to large, high-energy breeds. I’m especially patient with hyper dogs I know how to keep them active, happy, and well-behaved. Whether it’s caring for older dogs who need extra love or keeping up with pups who never seem to run out of energy, I genuinely enjoy every moment of it. I treat every dog like family and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and entertained while you're away. You can trust that your furry friend will be in caring and capable hands! I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule, which means I get to choose the shifts that work best for me. This allows me to easily plan around pet sitting needs. As long as I’m given a little notice, I can adjust my work hours to fit your schedule whether that’s for regular check-ins, overnight care, or last-minute plans. You can feel confident that your pet will get the attention and care they deserve without any conflicts. Although I don’t have a fenced yard, I make up for it by using leashes and taking pets on regular walks around my neighborhood or to nearby parks. I enjoy being active and love spending time outdoors with the dogs, giving them plenty of exercise and enrichment. My own dogs are very friendly and would love the extra company, which helps create a warm and welcoming environment for any visiting pets. I’m dedicated to making sure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for whether they’re staying in my home or I'm visiting them in theirs.

About: I've cared for dogs big and small since I was eleven. I've watched pets, dogs and cats, for my neighbors and family who needed a caregiver while they're out. I've given the animals baths, walked them around their neighborhood, kept them fed and cared for, and I've stayed the night at my relatives for their dogs. They're typically calm and happy around me, despite separation anxiety. I love animals more than most people! I have full open availability with no other pressing school or work obligations. Sitting and dog walking fits perfectly into my routine as a very active person who needs a lot of walking and stimulation myself. It depends on what the client has provided for me at their home and what they have instructed me to do. I'll take them outside or keep them in per the owners' requests.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 12 years, and it’s something I truly love. When I lived in Florida for about 9 years, I regularly pet sat for families, including overnight and extended stays of up to a month, as well as drop-in visits for walks and playtime. I genuinely connect with the animals I care for—I still remember and think about the dogs I’ve watched over the years. I believe the Lord created animals with love and purpose, and caring for them is something He has placed on my heart. I treat every pet like they are my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I also have experience with basic training, including potty training, leash walking, and teaching dogs to sit and wait. What sets me apart is the attention, patience, and heart I bring into this work—I don’t just watch pets, I spend quality time with them so they feel comfortable and secure. Pet care is my primary focus, so I structure my daily and weekly routine around the needs of the pets and families I serve.I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate feeding times, walks, playtime, and overnight care as needed. Whether it’s regular drop in visits or extended stays, I prioritize consistency, reliability, and being fully present to ensure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I provide care exclusively in my clients homes so pets can remain in a familiar and comfortable environment. I follow each owners instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, routines, medication, if needed, and any specific preferences or habits the pet has. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while maintaining their normal routine my goal is to keep them happy, safe, and as stress-free as possible, while their owners are away.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals. At one point, my family had 25 dogs! These days, I share my home with two incredible dogs: Porkchop, a sweet and loving companion, and Applesauce, my energetic sidekick. In Tennessee I work from home and able to spend my time caring for your pup. In my professional life (when I travel to California), I’m a studio teacher, working with kids on television and movie sets, though I previously taught kindergarten and third grade. I absolutely adore animals and dream of starting my own rescue one day. Until then, I enjoy offering a safe and loving space for pets through dog sitting, especially during breaks between my show seasons. Your furry family members will be treated like my own! Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine because I work from home with a flexible schedule. I can easily adjust my day to provide attention, walks, meals, and playtime for pets, ensuring they are comfortable and cared for. This flexibility allows me to give them plenty of love and care without feeling rushed. I care for pets by creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment. In my home, I provide plenty of attention, regular walks, and playtime, as well as a cozy space for them to relax. It is important that your pet be up to date on vaccines and flea/tick medication to ensure the safety of all animals in my care. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their specific instructions, maintain the pet’s routine, and ensure they feel comfortable in their familiar environment. Their well-being and happiness are always my top priorities.

About: My wife Diana and I run the Barksville Pet Waggin here in Clarksville. We have been growing our pet/home sitting business steadily for the last 15 years. We moved from Texas 4 years ago. Before that we served as pet sitters in the Austin, TX area for 3 years. Prior to moving to the Austin area, we had numerous clients throughout El Paso and Las Cruces, NM. We have experience caring for animals of all sizes, varieties and ages, administering pet medication including shots, walks, and caring for animals with special needs. We have significant experience with older animals who need special care. We also have experience dealing with larger dog breeds who can be a challenge to care for or walk. We have cared for a wide variety of animals in the past including dogs, cats, birds, lizards, goats, chickens, geese, horses and even an alpaca!! When away we’ll make sure that your fur-children have lots of cuddles and playtime. We enjoy helping fur babies get the exercise they need to stay happy and healthy until mommy or daddy return. We look forward to meeting all the loving pets and pet parents that Clarksville has to offer. We share pet sitting jobs as that way we can have more availability to care for your pets at different times. I am now doing pet care full time as my only job. We are currently offering overnight pet sitting and drop-in visits and/or walks, anytime you need. We do our best to accommodate and match you and your pet's needs. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. We have quite a few regular clients and they would be happy to give you references for us at any time, just ask. We look forward to hearing from you and setting up a meet and greet to meet your fur babies!! I am a full time pet sitting professional. My wife works but helps out and we often share overnight duties. Having two of us does often help with flexibility in scheduling. We also do have a team of background checked and trusted pet sitters who work for us who help fill in the schedule when we can’t. These sitters are trained, insured and supervised by us. You will get the same Barksville Pet Waggin quality from all of our sitters and you will know, meet and approve in advance of who will be in your home if we are unable to do your sitting. You will know BEFORE you book if we are not available. Anyone booking for a holiday period must pay one month in advance and these reservations are non refundable. Half of the reservation amount can be credited towards a future booking. ** If you are booking an overnight pet sitting we do require an actual bed to sleep in. An air mattress in the living room or couch surfing is not going to work for us. If you want older more reliable people you get older bad backs that require a real bed. If you would like care in our home we could take small dogs there. We have a fenced yard and one small dog of our own. Diana’s mom is home full time so pups would have supervision all day.

About: I’ve been sitting / watching dogs and other animals for more than a couple of years and I truly enjoy what I do . I dogsit for primarily the neighborhood I live in and all of my clients are by word . Your animals will be in the best care and get all the love they need ! I love to make sure they’re in the best care and I even send pictures throughout the day to update people on how they’re animals are doing ! I’m currently a full time college student at APSU . I’m done everyday around 12:30 so after that my day is free ! Weekends are not busy at all so those work perfect as well ! If I were to sit in the weekdays I’d do a morning stop then of course whenever school gets out go and check up on the animal ! I have a fenced in yard if clients need their dog to stay at my house . Amazing neighborhood but I do prefer to stay at houses the dogs are used to do to potty issues inside of the house from a new home . I do routinely walks and overall give amazing care to animals of all kinds !

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
