Rebecca was so great! She told me every detail of the visits with the pups, with pictures and videos to go with. And the pups looked like they had the best time!

Naomi is the best! She is dealing with a hyper puppy that has figured out how to Houdini out of her crate. She cleans up her messes and still has time to send me good photos of the escape artist. You can't go wrong with getting Naomi to stay with your pet!

Alexis is absolutely wonderful! My girls absolutely loved having her visit. She clearly has a love and passion for animals. She took her time and truly gave my pups quality time and attention. Very grateful for her. She even went the extra mile and loved on our outside fur kitties for a bit. We will definitely be asking her for help in the future. Thank you Alexis!

About: Hi, I’m Josh, and I offer nothing but the most reliable pet care around, tailored to you and your pets needs! 🐾 I’ve been around animals my whole life and truly believe every pet deserves kindness, routine, and a whole lot of love (and maybe a treat or three). From playful pups to wise old doggos, I’ve cared for pets of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. Whether it’s: Gentle strolls for seniors Play-packed walks for energetic pups Cozy care for anxious or shy pets Basic routine reinforcement …I meet every animal where they’re at. Your pet won’t just be walked or watched, they’ll be nurtured, and treated like family. Plus, I’m a firm believer in consistent communication! You’ll get updates, pics, and plenty of peace of mind while your pet is in my care. I’m home full-time, so your pet’s schedule? It becomes my schedule! Early morning potty breaks, midday zoomies, afternoon sunbathing, or evening snuggles… I’ve got the time and the treats. My days are pretty flexible, so whether your pup needs structure or just someone to hang out with while they nap, I can make it happen. I keep things calm, cozy, and consistent because pets thrive when they feel safe and seen. Basically: if your pet has a routine, I’ll stick to it like peanut butter on a chew toy. 🦴 And if they’re more of a go-with-the-flow type? We’ll create a new groove together. Let me know what makes your fur baby happiest—and I’ll make sure every visit or stay feels like a mini vacation (with belly rubs included, obviously). My home is a peaceful, pet-friendly space where your furry friend will feel right at home. I work from home, full-time, so pets are never left alone for long, and I’m always nearby for cuddles, potty breaks, or the occasional “did someone say treat?” moment. A fenced-in yard is in the works soon (yay!), but in the meantime, we have instant access to Academy Springs Park; just a few steps away, and we’re a short drive from the Chimney Park dog park too. Plus, my quiet, sidewalk-lined neighborhood is perfect for low-stress walks and curious sniffing adventures. I keep my space clean, calm, and cozy. No overwhelming noise, no overcrowding, and definitely no chaos. Whether your pet needs space to lounge, room to play, we’ll create the right setup for them. I care for every animal like they’re my own because honestly, they kinda are while they’re with me. 💛

I have experience with dogs, cats, and small animals, and I understand the importance of keeping your pets comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s daily feeding, playtime, walks, or just some extra TLC, I approach each pet with the patience and care they deserve. I am also well-organized, reliable, and able to handle any special instructions you may have, ensuring peace of mind for you and your pets. If you’re looking for a compassionate and trustworthy sitter, I’d be thrilled to care for your furry family members. Let’s connect to discuss how I can help make your time away stress-free! Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to add, like pet care certifications or certain animals you specialize in! I work from home, so your dog will have full care during their stay. Routined day, down to feeding schedule, walks, bathroom breaks, etc. Followed by lots of TLC ! I prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine. I ensure they have a clean, cozy space, stick to their usual feeding and exercise schedule, and provide plenty of attention and playtime. I’m attentive to any special instructions, such as medications or specific behavioral needs, and keep the environment secure and pet-friendly. My goal is to make them feel as relaxed and happy as possible, just like they would with their family.

Can I leave 15 stars??? Kay is fantastic. We had three of our regular sitters cancel on us for our trip over Thanksgiving. We were about to have to cancel our trip. Kay came in and took such great care of our girls, including our recent rescue that had some behavioral issues. She took great pictures and gave us updates on our babies. She even fed our fish and took in our black Friday packages. I'll be using her every time we have to leave our babies at home.

About: Greetings, I am Obadina and I am a graduate of AK9i as a patrol Detection K9 handler and trainer. I went to Tennessee State for Animal Science Pre Veterinary Medicine where I learned animal husbandry. I used that experience to go on to be a vet tech as well as a pet bather and trainer. I am current K9 detection dog handler and trainer. I have experience with high drive dogs as well as nervous dogs and puppies. I can work with any and every dog, from fearful to aggressive. I also offer DeShed nail care and bathing services. DeShed services is when I remove the shedding undercoat that comes out usually during the change of seasons. It prevents mats and painful tangles which not only can relive pain and odor, but also keeps them cool during the warm summer months. It’s a very good alternative to shaving, which actually makes them hotter because their fur keeps the sun off of them . Animal Husbandry is my profession as a K9 handler. Your dogs will be treated like assets they are. It’s an hourly routine as animals respond to predictability which lowers stress levels which leads to better boarding experiences. Your asset will be housed in a climate controlled dry lockable indoor kennel run facility with a fenced in secured play area that’s easy to clean and plenty of storage for your pets supplies.

About: Hi! I am on rover because I absolutely love dogs. I have my own fur baby that is absolutely the best. I work full time- banker hours, so I am really looking to watch pets on the weekends and love on them while you are away but I am also out and about all day everyday and can drop in whenever needed, as that is what I do for my own dog. I have grown up with pets my whole life and I have been pet sitting for a long time coming. They are always treated as my own, and I can make sure they do all of the things they love in my care! I can't wait to meet your babies. Thank you! I work full time in real estate, so my schedule is flexible. I am always out and about and can play and walk the pets whenever needed during the work week! I will treat any pet like my own and make sure to follow their schedule as they would when they are at home with you.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13 from friends and family, I’ve always loved dogs, but my parents weren’t really a fan of them, now that I move in to my own house, that has plenty of space for dogs to run and play I’d love to take care of your pets as if they were my own I’m a stay at home mom of 2 girls and 1 baby boy, I’m all day at home almost every single day of the week I have a fenced yard, my backyard it’s kind of unusual, it’s like a double fenced yard, one for my house and behind that is another fenced yard for my husbands horses, so if you’d like your dog to have some kind of farm experience they can be on both yards, but if you preferred for your dog to stay away from the horses that can be too

About: I love being active and outdoors, dogs always have a special place in my heart. I am currently a veterinarian assistant and have been working with animals for over 7 years through the military. I have been trained on: first aid, grooming, hygiene, and care for all animals. Working with dogs of all sizes helps me better my skills so I can someday be a vetanarian and open my own hospital. I strongly believe that dogs are men best friend and should be treated with the best care and love. Running around with young and energetic dogs or walking and relaxing with older and relaxed dogs I love them both. And I look forward to having this great opertonity and experience with your dog. I work relief for a vet hospital but my availability is very flexible. I am able to take your pet out twice a day if needed. I have a fenced in back yard and a nice neighborhood where we are able to run and walk with our dogs. So there is plenty of space to play and relax.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Covington stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Covington. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
