About: I’ve been known through my family and friends as a “dog whisperer”, and have had dogs in my care all my life! I’ve owned and taken care of my own senior dog for years, and am currently working with my new puppy. I have detailed experience with elderly dogs and dogs with medical needs. I can administer medications involving needles, and fulfill special food requests. Currently, I am a university student and I have a small part time job. However, I miss working with animals and my class schedule tends to be very flexible! In caring for a pet at your home, I treat it as if it was my own. I always emphasize to follow directions perfectly, and to treat your things with respect.

About: I have been a foster mom and adopter for 18 years. I fostered 50 dogs through a local rescue group. We have had 7 dogs, all but 1 are/ were snow dogs. I'm a part-time small animal physical therapist at ARC where we teach agility and obedience, help rehabilitate cats and dogs with injuries and provide quality of life rehab for seniors or the terminally ill. We took our last babies before they passed to ARC for quality of life, they had degenerative myelopathy and kidney disease, respectively. I fell in love with the place and became a PT. I have a soft spot for senior dogs, they deserve all the spoiling to make their golden years filled with love, comfort and adventure. To me dogs are equal to people and should be treated even better. I have a fenced in back yard and a home made for dogs. We have a four seasons room with a dog door to use. I split the house up according to where your dog is most comfortable while I'm out. We never miss our morning walk. In the summer we take dogs swimming at my in-law's pool 20 minutes in Blue Springs. We also have kiddie pools and a sandbox to discover toys. They can sleep in the bedroom, family room or patio room. If they are kennel training then in their kennel of course, which is in the very comfortable dog room. I am able to administer all types of medication, whether it be oral, injectable, or IV fluids. I am able to do dog CPR, we are also 5 minutes from our vet as well. My home is the ideal vacation spot for your furry friend. About this sitter: I'm a licensed Esthetician and have an in-home spa. I work at ARC part-time, just three afternoons a week. Clearly, I'm a huge dog lover. We previously fostered around 50 dogs for Furry Kids' Refuge. It is my life's work to stop puppy mills. I'm a very active person and enjoy outdoor activities. Why I love dog sitting Ever since, I was a child I grew up loving dogs and wanting to stop puppy mills. I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some kind of capacity. I worked on Proposition B with the Humane Society of America. I want to help people feel confident leaving their pets when away from home. About my yard I have a 1/3 acre yard fenced all the way around. We have lots of trees and outdoor dog beds to hang out on under the hammocks. We have lots of squirrels to watch and all of our neighbors have dogs. We have a small wrap around deck that connects to our 4 seasons patio room with a dog door. My experience administering medication I am trained in dispensing all types of medicine; whether it be oral or injectable. I'm also able to do IV fluids and CPR. Your dog(s) will be a part of my family while you are away. They will go about their day doing what they normally do at home. They will be free to play and not be cooped up like at a daycare or vet facility. We have a million toys to play with and a nice neighborhood to walk in and lots of places to nap. We currently have two dogs, they both came from difficult situations, but they love to play with other dogs, it's people that can be intimidating. They prefer people that bring dogs in the house. We do slow introductions. We start with a walking meet and greet around the neighborhood and then we come in the backyard with your dog off-leash to smell and then they can all meet slowly. If all the dogs like each other then I do like a day visit if you will be gone more than a few days, so that your dog is comfy here. If you will be gone more than 2 weeks I recommend a night stay beforehand. I work part-time from home in my spa and part time at ARC on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. We walk every morning and most days I head to the gym after. Perfect time for the dogs to decompress in their own areas and nap. I have a nice fenced in yard with locks on the gates. All dogs are separated by gates and have their own comfortable spaces with multiple rooms. All dogs are fed separately for safety.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was young. As well as taking care of many of my neighbors/ relatives animals. I have also taken care of dogs and cats young and old and I am volunteering at KC Pet Project. I’m currently a college student home for the summer and will have a part time job. I would be excited to take care of your pets in between! I feed, bathe, brush, and exercise my own dog and have since I was young. For the neighbors pets I have cleaned up and ensured they had the proper amount of food and water and giving them enrichment.

About: Hi, my name is Autumn and i have worked with dogs and other animals for over 15 years. My experience comes from working in animal hospitals, pet stores, daycare, boarding, and rescue facilities. I've also been a dog walker for about 3 years. I worked for a dog walking company for 2 years and then started my own pet care/dog walking business called Road Dogs Pet Care and Transportation. I am a single mother of two daughters (5 & 11) and dog mom of 3 older (13,13, &15), very sweet dogs. They are all very social and well behaved. I have a large fenced in yard. I also have experience doing nail trims and offer in-home nail trims. i also have experience bathing and administering medications. I take care, safety, and love very seriously and will always do my best to make sure your babe feels as comfortable and happy as possible! Profile update: Hi, a lot has changed since I first joined Rover. I no longer have my three elderly babies as they have all passed away due to old age. We now have two new additions to our family, Six and Pepper. Six is my 2 year old Border Collie/Heeler mix. She's very spunky, sweet, and playful! Pepper is our 2 1/2 yr old 7 lb. poodle. She is basically my daughters little sidekick and spends almost all of her time with her. She sometimes thinks she's a Doberman, but she's harmless and warms up quick. Once she warms up she's ready to run with the big dogs! They're both great girls and are used to new friends and visitors often. 😊 I'm home full-time and take care of my two kids, two dogs, and our aquatic turtle. Aside from running occasional errands or appointments, I'm able to give your dog or dogs all the love, attention, and playtime that they need. I'm also available for daily dog walks if needed. I have a large fully fenced yard for them to run and play in. They are all inside and outside frequently throughout the day as needed or as they please. About: **NOTE: If you are outside of my normal service preferences, please still request, particularly if you have a pet that has medical or behavioral concerns. I am extremely comfortable with unique behavioral/medical needs and I find great joy in working with these animals. I have always loved animals. This was amplified when I completed an internship at an exotic animal sanctuary on their animal care team. After this, I trained as a veterinary technician at a senior dog sanctuary specializing in hospice care. When I moved to KC, I worked as a vet tech under a renowned veterinary orthopedic surgeon. I was the lead vet tech for a high-volume clinic where I was the lead surgery and dental tech, emergency tech, and euthanasia tech, and I oversaw the vet tech schedule and controlled substance logs. I am comfortable administering injections (insulin, for example), administering subcutaneous fluids, delivering triage care in an emergency with your animal, and monitoring heart rates, respiratory rates, and capillary refill times. On a personal level, I am the proud mom of a one-eyed French Bulldog, a senior Chihuahua, a ball python, a milk snake, and an eyelash-crested gecko. In the past, I have been a parent to hamsters, rats, a guinea pig, a corn snake, and multiple fish species. I currently work as a Behavioral Interventionist for a district that participates in four-day weeks. For the summer, I have open availability. The school year will begin again 8/11/25 for me which will leave me with full availability for Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays and availability from 5 am to 8 am and after 5 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until the end of May, holiday breaks being the exception. When you request a time for a visit, I will care for your pets within one hour before or one hour after the requested time unless there is a special circumstance such as medication administration needed at exact times. For example, if you request a drop-in visit at 12pm, the visit may start anywhere from 11am to 1pm in order to accommodate unexpected situations where I need to spend more time with an animal. An animal's safety is my highest priority. I am trained in safe dog introductions and reading animal body language. Additionally, I am trained to safely intervene if an interaction between animals becomes aggressive to minimize injury to the animals and myself. I am well versed in identifying potential emergency medical situations and will respond quickly to reduce stress on your beloved pet. I would like to know immediately if something is wrong with one of my babies, and it is essential to show you the same respect.
