“Sky made me feel really comfortable when she showed up for the meet and greet with my dog. She sat with Hachi and took her time, learning her behavior and making her feel comfortable. This really put me at ease. She is extremely responsive and keeps you informed. She sends pictures and videos of how Hachi is doing.”

About: I raised 3 daughters and they turned out OK! Your pets will be fine! I’m a retired snowbird living part of the year in Bradenton! Retired school counselor actually, so no pet can be as challenging as my students! As for pet experience, I’ve had 2 golden retrievers and bred them to for a total of 25 puppies. Add to that lots of cats, 3 horses and a goldfish or two, but now have an empty nest! Let me get my fix on your fur baby and know you’ll have piece of mind knowing they will be loved and cared for! I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your needs so I am ready to meet you and your fur baby! Ready-set-go! Woof! I work very part time so my schedule is very flexible to accommodate your pet’s needs. I am willing to travel to your location to provide care for your pet. I prefer to take care of your pets in your home or neighborhood. My winter home is currently in an RV park that restricts animals.
“Always take care of the doggos like they’re theirs! Always leave a detailed message of how their time was with the babies and I laugh because it always sounds so accurate with how they behave. Would highly recommend Stephanie and Elizabeth!!”

My goal will be to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible while you are away. I will have a small list of questions, so we cover everything. I will send you a daily photo and updates, so you don't worry. I will keep your home clean, secure and exactly how you left it.
About: I have experience handling all sized dogs! I grew up with small dogs like bulldogs, terriers, pugs, etc until my mom rescued a pitbull who we have loved and has been the best dog! I have experience dog sitting anywhere from bulldogs to golden retrievers, golden doodles, and mastiff! I think what sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive experience with having lived with dogs my entire life. I am fully aware of their needs for exercise and love. I have been a dog lover since I can remember and it brings me joy to take care of them and to provide a warm and reliable environment for them. My schedule right now is pretty flexible and I would be willing to work around whatever schedule necessary for your dog to get the care it needs throughout the day! Thank you for considering me! I am pretty flexible and available during the week and weekends. I have two part time jobs that are flexible and allow for me to make my own schedule. I am unable to house dogs at my own place due to my renters agreement, however, I am beyond trustworthy with staying at other peoples homes and/or visiting for walks. I strive to keep the home clean to the degree that I found it and make sure the dog or cat feels safe in its home.

I have completed short term and long term (1 month+) pet-sits. My TrustedHousesitters profile, which has my 5-star reviews, is available upon request since Rover doesn’t allow me to post the link. Cleanliness is important to me and I always leave the home clean. About: I grew up with 2 dogs and 3 cats and now have 2 cats of my own. I would walk to neighbors houses just to play with their pets! Mice, lizards, chinchillas, dogs, cats, any pet you could have, I was there to play with them! Throw any challenge my way and I can handle it as I have taken care of pets my whole life in many situations I live right next to my job offering me immediate access to my home if needed. I am home everyday for lunch requiring me extra time to care for animals. I also do not go into work on Mondays and Wednesdays until 10 and get out of work on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 making a lot of time available everyday for animals! I live next to an open field awesome for running dogs around. I also live in a nice HOA community that loves dogs and has ample room for them. The inside of my house is extremely pet friendly as many of my family members have pets that come over my house
About: My tagline is how I see pets - they are family! I grew up having dogs, cats, bunnies, and fish. When I moved to Florida 5 years ago, I didn’t have any family so I decided to pick up pet sitting. I understand the importance of catering to each animal’s needs. If your pet is laid back and wants cuddles, we can do that. If your pet is energetic and needs to run, we can do that too! I look forward to meeting you and your furry fam 😊 I currently have a full time job M-F, 8-5 that is flexible with working from home. There are rare times where I need to go into the office, so I require that your pet is fine being alone for 4-8 hours. I also have a dog and cat who are friendly with other dogs and cats. My dog is 2 and loves to play. When boarding, I have ample space to set up your pet’s crate, bed etc in the living room or bedroom if they typically keep it there. I’m a big cuddler, so I am fine with them sleeping in the bed if that is what they are used to. I have a fully fenced in backyard, so rest assured your pets can run free safely. I also just purchased a kiddie pool for fun water days in the hot summer heat!
About: Hey I’m Kenzie, I work at a vet clinic as a veterinary assistant and also in kennels taking care of dogs and cats. I’ve been working in animal care for over 5 years now I’ve worked at a doggy daycare/boarding facility and vet hospitals and I moved down to Florida recently from North Carolina. Currently taking care of your pets is my full time job so my schedule is always open and I’d love to get to know you and your fur babies! Walking the pets, giving them all the kisses and cuddles they want, making sure they have play time, giving them fresh water and food as well if needed.

As a volunteer, my responsibilities mostly included transport, playing with the shelter animals, weighing, and checking in/watching. I currently have 2 cats, 1 male and 1 female, that I got as kittens. I have had these cats for about 2 years. In the past, I had a dog for 3 years. My responsibilities with these pets include/included feeding, bathing, playing, walking, cleaning up after, etc. I am not currently working and have reliable transportation. “I'm so thankful for Sarah taking my 11 year old corgi (Phil) on daily walks. She has been a savior helping us 4 times a week for 5 months. She is dependable, professional, trustworthy, and she communicates any concerns. Finally Phil and I are getting a new home with a fenced yard... but I would call Sarah again if I needed help because she is fantastic.”

About: Hi! My name is Amanda! My family and I have been. On Rover for over 3 years now. We currently both work outside of the home full time, with flexible schedules. We have four kids (16,15,13,8) who love dogs and help us a ton! They are all receptive to dogs and know when to leave them be due to the dog being nervous or to cuddle them when they are comfortable. We have a large fenced in yard and have experience with giving medication as well. We look forward for the chance to care for your pets while you are gone! My job is flexible. I work close to home full time with frequent opportunities for breaks, so I am available during a wide variety of times needed. While boarding I have opportunity for a number of walks a day. I have a fenced in yard. If I care for multiple dogs, I introduce them slowly, and always feed separately, to avoid any issues. There is opportunity for blended play/snuggles as well as 1:1.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
