“My dogs just loved John. When I returned from a short vacation (5 days). my dogs, that tend to be hyper, were laid back and relaxed. While they were glad to see me, they didn't become frenzied like they usually do. Plus, John watered my outdoor plants, took out the trash and swept my floor before I got home. I was beyond thrilled. I definitely plan to book with John again!”

“Just moved to the area for work and Arden was our hero when we needed someone for nine days! She took such incredible care of our pup and made us feel completely safe with me being new to this area and not knowing anyone. We came back from our trip to a happy puppy who played and was well loved during our time away. She will be our go to at all times! Mieka was crazy about her ❤️”

“Reagan is amazing. she loves our Winnie like she’s hers . She walks her a few times a day and she will sit there and let Winnie just cuddle with her . Reagan is a rockstar 💥”

“I could not have asked for a better sitter for Romeo. She kept him on a great schedule, made sure he never felt lonely, and sent the sweetest updates and photos every day. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. Truly grateful for her!”

“Megan took great care of our two dogs. She sent lots of pictures to keep us up to date, and left the house tidy. Would definitely book with her again.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for family, friends, and neighbors, including feeding, walking, providing fresh water, playtime, medication and ensuring they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I understand the importance of following routines and giving pets plenty of attention and care. I’m reliable, responsible, and committed to treating every pet as if they were my own. I have a job at night, which usually ranges from 3 to 6 hours, but besides that I am open all day to pet care When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to keep the pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, and get plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime depending on their needs. For dogs, I provide walks and bathroom breaks, and for cats, I clean litter boxes and spend time interacting with them if they’re comfortable. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure, and I double-check doors, gates, and locks before leaving. I take the responsibility seriously and treat every pet and home with care and respect, just like I would my own.
“Danielle is wonderful to work with as she provides great updates with such fun pictures of our pets! She always leaves the house better than she found it, which is amazing to come home to. She even endured having to give my cat liquid medicine nightly! Best of the best, can’t wait to book with her again!”
“Tisha is SO wonderful and we were so lucky to have found her. She treated my pup so well and took so much time with her. We got a ton of pictures which was awesome too!”
About: I’ve always grew up loving animals. I was 9 yrs old when my mom started to foster dogs! So I always helped her with them all the time. She is also a dog groomer back home so at her job i would always go and help in daycare and be around 20+ dogs every day and absolutely loved it!!!! I do have 2 dogs of my own. A lab/blue lacy. And a german shepherd. And also 2 cats! Im always home ! And love going and playing fetch or just laying around with my animals! I am currently not working so i can work around anyone’s schedule!! I live in a house with a fenced in backyard! Potty brakes will be 30mins to insure your puppers are going. outside playtime will be 30 mins with lots of water and playtime inside to insure they are in the cold!!
About: hi im cici! i’m pretty well trained with taking care of any kind of dog! i’ve taken care of the tiniest chihuahua to a cane corso and everything in between. i absolutely love dogs and have 3 dogs of my own, one i’ve owned since 2015, 2019, & recently this february:). and if you’re looking for a cat sitter i’m quite qualified in that area too, having taken in 4 cats in the past and always making sure the neighborhood cats are fed! your little angel will absolutely get all the attention they deserve:). i am absolutely available any day of the week, whether you have work to attend last minute or if you want to have a fun weekend out, i’m here to take over for you! however overnight stay i am willing to work towards as we build a bond together :) bonding and responsibility are my two priorities. with me as your sitter, my qualifications are instructions. you give me a set of rules, timing, procedures and i will absolutely make sure that need is met. along with that i will make sure your fur baby is given playful attention and affection. having pets of my own i can completely understand suspicion of care for them, but with me i will be there to help reassure i’m the pet sitter for you!
“This was my first time using Lillian. She was on time for our Meet and Greet, sent daily pictures of my fur babies and via these pics I could clearly see they were comfortable in her care. She promptly texted me about concerns and left the house neat and tidy. The house needed to be swept/swiffered given the house bunny is in a shed cycle but perhaps I didn’t make that expectation clear.”

“She was a fantastic sitter! Very communicative, sent pictures daily and provided Goose with so much love! She even took him on a special outing to meet new dog friends. We will definitely book with her again!”

“This was my first time using Cali but it won’t be my last! Chachi and Stormy were healthy and happy when I returned home. You could tell they received lots of love and affection. The house was left neat and tidy, and she stayed in daily contact. I am a happy client!!”

“Marcina was great! She was attentive & active with our puppy! Sent picture throughout the day and kept me updated which was greatly appreciated as it was the first we had someone else watch over her.”

About: I have cared for many different types of animals since I was 9. Including dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, and hamsters. I have completed the first two levels of dog training with my own pups and have helped others train their dogs. I love all animals and they love me too!! I am available day and night to prioritize and care for your animals including bathing and exercising. I am also available to house sit if needed. I will care for your pets with love and attention. I am flexible to fit their daily and nightly schedules (feeding times, walk times, medications, potty breaks, etc.)

“Penelope was the best sitter we’ve ever had. She was professional and my oodle puppies LOVED her! They’re usually skittish with new people but they jumped right up to hug her! She takes care of your babies like she would her own! We will be requesting Penelope again in the future!”

“Margaret was awesome!! Skipper had a great time and was very well taken care of. We got updated throughout every day and she was super transparent and kind! We will definitely be hiring her again and highly recommend her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Corpus Christi
We couldn’t be happier with Sol! He was willing to help us on short notice, which was a huge relief. From the moment we met him, I’m a nervous dog mommy but right away I felt completely at ease. It was obvious that he genuinely cares about dogs, and our dog was comfortable with him right away. When we returned home, our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. That peace of mind is priceless. Sol was reliable, professional, and easy to work with, and we’re so impressed that he will be our permanent dog sitter going forward. Highly recommend!

Arianna was fantastic! Her consistent communication, daily pictures and outright love for our dogs are the reasons we will be booking with her again. We were very nervous leaving our 2 Dachshund’s for the week, but Arianna put our minds at ease on the first day. She followed all of our instructions perfectly, and asked clarifying questions to ensure no confusion. We will absolutely be booking with Arianna again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Corpus Christi walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Corpus Christi maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Corpus Christi choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Corpus Christi. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
