“Debbie has been very kind and my dog Toto has enjoyed his stay at Debbie’s. She had been updating me on Toto’s stay. I would highly recommend her as your pet sitter. She’s absolutely amazing!!”

“I would not hesitate to leave my Boxer and English Springer Spaniel with Tisha again. She is definitely a dog lover and I could tell from the photos she shared with me that they were enjoying their stay with her. It was a relief to know they were in good hands.”

“Lauryn and Loren took excellent care of my dog. They were very patient with her when introducing her to her new environment and dog companions putting her at ease for the rest of her stay. They took her on daily walks and kept me updated with pictures and feedback throughout the weekend.”
“This was my first time leaving Duke with someone and I was really worried he would not do well. We had gone on a meet and greet 2 days before and Duke got along well with Melinda and her 2 dogs but I was still apprehensive. When it came time to drop him off he jumped right out of the car and ran up to Melinda and her husband without hesitation and went right in the house ! Melinda kept me informed with pictures of Duke having a great time and I have to say Duke misses his new friends. I would highly recommend Melinda anytime and will definitely take more trips now that I know he will be well cared for and loved. Dr Dan”

“Samantha was the best. I had to change drop off and pick up dates and she was really cool about it. She treated my dogs like her own, I didn’t worry about their well being while they were with her. I knew they were having a blast and being well taken care of. My new go-to sitter.”

“Monica was very welcoming to not just my Pup but myself too. She kept me up to date on Domino, and sent me a picture of my dog having a Good time with her. I felt at ease leaving her there with a caring individual like Monica. I recommend her to watch your four legged baby!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and several years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I’m attentive, patient, and treat every fur baby like my own. I’m comfortable adapting to the care your pet needs and the routine you prefer. I understand it can be stressful to be away from your babies, and some may need a little extra love. As a pet owner myself, I want you to feel confident, secure, and worry-free knowing your loved one is well cared for. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to easily prioritize pet care throughout my day. I’m able to plan my routine around your pet’s needs and provide consistent attention. I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved. In my home, I provide a calm environment with a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time and crates available if needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their routine, follow instructions carefully, and make sure they feel secure and well cared for while you’re away.
“Excellent! I highly recommend. She genuinely cares for the dogs she watches. Even my dog knows, I have a dog with anxiety and he took to her right from the start. I will use her again.”

“Brittany went above and beyond to take care of my new puppy! I’m certain that my dog was well taken care the entire time I was gone. She was well fed and got lots and lots of playtime! The other unexpected thing was that Brittany sent me updated pictures of how she was doing while I was gone. Really kept me in the loop and made me feel comfortable leaving her there. Thank you so much, Brittany. I really really appreciate you. We will be back!❤️”
About: Pets have always been apart of my life, and one of my greatest joys! I've spent over a decade caring for the pets of family and friends, where time and love are poured into insuring their needs are met with sprinkles on top (aka generous amounts of cuddles, kisses, and playtime). My experience ranges from puppies, kittens, elderly dogs, to everyone in between! All pets are treated as if they were my own, and my spoiled pups can attest to the quality of attention that animals in my care receive. While I do have a full-time job, my weekends and evenings are completely open to accommodate your furry friend. If they are boarded with me, we have a huge backyard at their disposal, as well as a nearby park for walks. Mornings and evenings I am available for feedings, potty breaks, and short enrichment activities. In your home, I'll let your pet guide the activities, be it cuddles, playtime, or walks. I consider my time with your pet to be precious to them, for socialization as well as necessity, so I take my level of care very seriously. In my home, there is a lot of space for acclimation, as well as a large fenced space for pups to run. My pups are crate-trained for a full work day, which secures our home from mischief. In your house or mine, safety and comfortability is a top priority.
About: I have owned dogs for 12+ years now and just LOVE animals. Some of my own pets have had medical issues (seizures, blindness, heart issues) so I am very familiar with how to care with not only healthy pets but ones with medical needs as well. We have fostered puppies for a local rescue, so we are also familiar with how to handle the hyper activity of a new family member. I have a full time job, but we do come home during lunch to check on our babies and take them out to potty. We are usually home all evening so your fur baby will not be alone after we get out of work. If you are looking into my dog walking services, that can be completed right after work, for however long you need the services. I have a fully fenced yard and my dogs are never left outside unattended. My wife and I care deeply about our own dogs and would put the same care and love into your dogs as well. Our dogs are not crate trained and are allowed to roam the house during the day, but we could crate your dog if that is what you prefer.
About: Welcome! My name is Kirsten and I am a resident of Portland Tx! I’m originally from Austin where I began my animal care journey. I owned my own animal care service business in Austin for about 4 years taking care of dogs and cats from north all the way down to south Austin. I’ve loved every minute of meeting all kinds of personalities from all pets and giving them the love and attention they need. I’m happy to do a meet and greet with your fur baby. Look forward to meeting you! Currently transitioning to part time work for Hygiene school so I will have lots of time on my hands to watch over your fur baby :) I love to take pups on walks In the neighborhood, play with their favorite toys and give them lots of rubs! If there are activities you prefer I would more than happy to add them to our daily activities. :)
About: I’m young, but I’ve had animals practically all of my life and have taken care of them with great responsibility. We have a big open space and my own loving dog, Chloe. I love animals and will tend to them as needed. I currently have a job, but is not daily. I wake up early to tend to my animals and will happily do the same for yours. I have a big, fenced yard with plenty of space to run around. I have a small dog, Chloe, who keeps to herself but is loving and sweet to other dogs. I take her in walks as often as I can and if needed, can do the same for your pup!

“Carolyn was wonderful, she loved Henry and treated him like her own. She sent me pics and I could not have asked for a better person to take care of Henry while we were out of town.”
“Reagan was amazing! My Stella is a bit weird and loves showing her teeth when playing or getting love which scares some people (she has never bitten anyone). However Reagan embraced it and sent many pictures and videos of my girl playing. Stella had so much fun and after the first day I was no longer worried about her and was able to just enjoy my vacation. Reagan would just send me pictures and videos without me asking and I absolutely loved that! 5⭐️'s”

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs and am able to help train dogs in being potty trained. I am extremely caring for dogs and enjoy learning how your pet experiences their own life! I’m currently not working so my full attention will be on your pet. I will take your dog out at least 3 times a day and can even take them to fun spots if allowed. I have a gated community with a small doggy park. I have a friendly dog myself that loves meeting other dogs. I am completely understanding of your needs as well as your dogs.
“She was amazing! Accommodating and loving towards our Suzie. Mrs. Bobbye treated our puppy like her own. Her home is very pet friendly. Our Suzie was able to lounge on furniture and run her little heart out in a large fenced back yard. She had lots of love and companionship with Mrs. Bobbye and her family (her own fur babies included). I received many updates and photos which gave me peace of mind over night. Definitely will use her services again. Highly recommend.”
About: I am currently employed as a dog groomer and I have experience as a vet tech! I have had my two dogs for 8 years and I also have pet cats. I have been involved in the rescue community for years, saving dogs and cats and having them sent up north for adoptions. I have the patience required to care for all kinds of animals! I work as a dog groomer during the day, and I can bring my dogs to work with me because we have kennels separating each dog. I am off all day on Sundays. I am extremely patient when it comes to caring for my pets and others’ pets. I am extremely skilled caring for aggressive and timid dogs. One of my dogs has arthritis and hip dysplasia, so he is on constant medication and steroid injections. My other Pomeranian has urinary problems and anxiety, especially around any loud noises, so I have to be extremely patient when she wakes up at all hours of the morning when she is having an anxiety attack. One of my cats also has an enlarged heart, so he is on medication everyday for the rest of his life. But, I wouldn’t change them for anything in the world. Their traits and quirkiness makes them each special in their own way and I look forward to taking care of your pets and learning their different personalities! I work as a dog groomer during the day, so I am allowed to take my pets or my boarding dogs with me to work. We do not allow the dogs to interact for safety reasons, so each dog has their own large kennel. This way your fur babies are not left home alone all day, everyday. I have a fenced yard and friendly pets. I have a two bedroom home with a large living room area. If your dogs are not good with other dogs or cats, I can keep my pets in a separate room while giving your pups the space that they require to feel comfortable and safe. We allow our pets on the bed, so if your pup likes cuddles- there’s plenty to go around! I keep my pets as well as my boarding dogs on a strict schedule when it comes to eating and meds because consistency is key! I try to send pictures and videos every few days so that my clients can have peace of mind while their pups are being boarded and enjoy their trip! I also have cameras all over the inside and outside of my home so that if I am away I can constantly check on my pets and yours.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
