“Our kitty was very well cared for by Kayanna! Kayanna clearly communicated with us about drop off, all through the stay and pick up. Her home is as neat as a pin. She sent us pictures each day. I would contact Kayanna for pet sitting again. She genuinely loves animals!”

“She is fantastic and Lew , had like a vacation time. I will recommend Rebecca to everyone who wants to be sure that his dog is going to enjoy and feel loved. Thanks Rebecca.”

“What a lovely visit. My labradoodle spent the evening at Tetiana's house. He has so much fun! Tetiana is very sweet, great with dogs and is very responsive. She took lots of pictures too. 5 stars!!”

“She was absolutely wonderful and treated Beau like one of her own. We felt completely at ease knowing he was so loved and well cared for. We would 100% book with her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs, have trained them tricks and love going on walks or runs. I’ve watched neighbors dogs and friends and family. I’m currently a student at TAMUCC but always finding myself with plenty of free time. I would love to play with dogs and make sure they aren’t missing any love. I live in a gated community with plenty of space to roam around either inside or outside. All of my friends have dogs if yours gets lonely!
“Excellent! I highly recommend. She genuinely cares for the dogs she watches. Even my dog knows, I have a dog with anxiety and he took to her right from the start. I will use her again.”

“Reagan was amazing! My Stella is a bit weird and loves showing her teeth when playing or getting love which scares some people (she has never bitten anyone). However Reagan embraced it and sent many pictures and videos of my girl playing. Stella had so much fun and after the first day I was no longer worried about her and was able to just enjoy my vacation. Reagan would just send me pictures and videos without me asking and I absolutely loved that! 5⭐️'s”

“Bobbye was the best sitter we could have asked for! She was so kind and loving towards my Bella. She constantly updated us with pictures of her. I would definitely use bobbye again.”

“We are so very happy that we found Carolyn! We are from out of town and we needed a sitter right away. She was very quick to respond. Brody was very comfortable there from the moment he arrived. I loved getting pics and updates throughout his stay. Would love to use their services again.”

I keep them at the house, or care for them in their own homes. I've been told I have a giant heart, and there is plenty of space for your fur baby! I have a full time, fully remote job. My schedule is very flexible! I am home with my own pets for most of the day. I also have grandchildren who visit several times a week. I have a fenced back yard. I have a small dog and a medium dog. Both are neutered males. I also have some reptiles and birds in the home.
“Monica was very welcoming to not just my Pup but myself too. She kept me up to date on Domino, and sent me a picture of my dog having a Good time with her. I felt at ease leaving her there with a caring individual like Monica. I recommend her to watch your four legged baby!”

“Jasmine was amazing with our chiki girl! She absolutely spoiled her rotten and gave her the best princess treatment possible. She sent so many update photos of our girl absolutely enjoying herself all loafed up and even comforted her during a scary thunderstorm. We are so happy with how our baby was treated by Jasmine and hope to book her again when needed !”

“Lauryn and Loren took the best care of my dogs while being away! They were able to accommodate introducing our dogs, which went super amazing. I have 2 big dogs that I knew could’ve been overwhelming with their own dogs but they handled it so well, I would absolutely be going back without a doubt. They are so loving, trustworthy, organize, and on time! They are everything you are looking for!”

“Stephanie was amazing! We had a very last minute boarding booking for a 9 weeks old puppy and it went really well! It was our first time using Rover but we trusted the reviews and picked Stephanie and couldn’t be happier about our choice. Definitely recommend, she’s great!”

“Morgan was so amazing from start to finish. Her responsiveness and communication made it such a stress free experience, as we all know it very well can be when leaving our furry children in the hands of someone else. Morgan is a through and through dog lover and will take the best care of your pup.”

About: Welcome! My name is Kirsten and I am a resident of Portland Tx! I’m originally from Austin where I began my animal care journey. I owned my own animal care service business in Austin for about 4 years taking care of dogs and cats from north all the way down to south Austin. I’ve loved every minute of meeting all kinds of personalities from all pets and giving them the love and attention they need. I’m happy to do a meet and greet with your fur baby. Look forward to meeting you! Pet care is a consistent part of my daily and weekly routine. I currently work full-time as a dental assistant, and I am preparing to transition into dental hygiene school soon. Because I already manage a structured schedule, I’m very organized with my time and make pet care a priority. My routine allows me to provide regular walks, feeding, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of attention. I love to take pups on walks In the neighborhood, play with their favorite toys and give them lots of rubs! If there are activities you prefer I would more than happy to add them to our daily activities. :)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Portland
DeAnn was amazing. We were visiting the gulf and planned an outing Roo couldn't attend, so last minute, found DeAnn and she accepted. Roo got to hang out with DeAnn and her neighbor Fran. He was well loved on. Both ladies are super friendly and sweet. Thank you both!

This was the first time leaving our pup with anyone. Deann made us feel very comfortable. It was a very clean environment and Deann sent us pictures and updates about how our pup was doing. We were very happy with the care our pup received and will definitely be using Deann again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
