“This was my first time using this app, so I was a little nervous, but Chloe was awesome. She provided pictures and updates every day with sweet messages on how they were doing while we were away. I’m so glad we found her and this app. She is someone I trust my fur babies with and I will be most definitely using her again in the future. Thank you, Chloe. ❤️🐾”

“Nana O. Did a great job checking in on our sweet Sadie while we were out of town! It made our travels super peaceful knowing we could depend on her to check in while we were gone! Highly recommend her and will book with her on future occasions!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have experience on Rover for both dogs and cats in Waco, I recently moved to Corpus Christi.. I currently have a small Yorkie of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication (if needed), or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I treat every pet with the same patience, attention, and care that I’d want for my own. Aside from occasional college classes beginning soon, my schedule is very flexible. I’m available most days, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. I’ll always communicate my availability clearly and do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions carefully, keep you updated with messages and photos, and make sure your pet receives plenty of attention while you’re away. I believe every animal deserves patience, kindness, and a calm environment where they can feel secure. Whether we’re out on a walk or relaxing at home, you can trust that your pet will be treated like part of my own family.

“Samantha was a blessing. I had another pet sitter taking care of my sisters cats and she unfortunately ran into some car issues so i had to find another pet sitter right away. Samantha responded to my request quickly and was able to help me with only one day notice!”

About: Growing up, my household always had pets. I had a wide range of dog breeds from a Rottweiler to a Yorkie. In addition to my love and experience with dogs, I would take care of a multiple cat household through the years. I have a huge soft spot for animals and would love to help take care of yours. I am currently a full-time student so pet care fits in well with my schedule. I am able to commit to these pets in between my class schedule. I care for pets by first fulfilling any and all requests and instructions left by a pet owner. No one knows a pet better than their owner! Second, I learn to read a pet and what signals I can pick up through their habits and actions.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of who I am. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I’m patient, attentive, and responsive to their individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra attention, consistency, and basic training reinforcement, as well as senior pets who may require a slower pace, medication reminders, or gentle care. I’m very observant and make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Now that I’m away at college, I truly miss having animals around, so pet sitting is something that brings me joy in the meantime. I have a big heart for animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. 🐾💛 Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I intentionally plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. As a college student, I have structured class times, which allows me to create consistent morning, afternoon, and evening check-ins for walks, feeding, playtime, and any special care needs. I’m used to building my day around animals since I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Whether it’s early morning walks, mid-day potty breaks, or evening cuddle time, I make sure pets receive attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. On weekends, I typically have even more flexibility, which allows for longer walks or extra playtime. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I prioritize because I truly enjoy it. 🐾💛 When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their environment. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, portion sizes, medications, exercise routines, and any specific behavioral needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure pets stay on their normal routine to reduce stress while their owner is away. This includes walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention and affection. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured. If caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with close supervision. I ensure they have a safe space to rest, regular potty breaks, structured playtime, and lots of companionship. Because I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, I’m very attentive to body language and behavior changes, especially for puppies or senior pets who may need extra care. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to provide consistent, loving, and responsible care. 🐾💛

My very standoffish snobby cats actually made friends ..Ms Chloe makes vacation 💯 more relaxing knowing they are in good hands. She actually put together new toy that happened to show up while I was on vacation. So pleased I was able to find someone so caring to look after my "kids".

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Portland. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
