“Kristie & Rick are wonderful! They cared for our sweet Maxine and Pedro like they were their own. Since they were puppies, this was their first sleepover experience, but they did great! Kristie & Rick ensured they followed a routine and clearly gave both dogs a lot of love. Will definitely request them again!”

“Averi is one of the most wonderful people we have ever met 💕 She emanates light, And is So clearly a good person or dogs were calm around her almost instantly. If it sounds like I’m gushing, I am! Our dogs are reactive, I’ma not blown away by how they reacted to her. We love her!”

“It would give Tammy 10 Stars but I'm only allowed 5. This is the first time I left Smokey with a " stranger ". I had worries about separation anxiety as it turned out smokey had anxiety about leaving Tammy! Tammy updated me with pictures and text and I could tell Smokey was having a great time. This has been a great experience for Smokey and myself. I promise Smokey that I would bring her back to see Tammy for a doggie daycare. I would definitely recommend Tammy for a dog sitter. Thanks Tammy”

“Kat took excellent care of my little Reina. I received updates on her quite frequently. Reina was taken on several walks and appeared to get a long well with Kat’s small pups. Thank you for all the care!”

“Alondra took great care of our pup! She was responsive, kind, professional, and sent picture updates of our girl. We highly recommend her services and will be looking for availability in the future!”

“We are very new to the area and needed a sitter on short notice. Kris was very accommodating and got us booked right away. We went over for the meet-and-greet and knew right away this was the sitter for us. She explained in great detail her philosophy on watching dogs and we agreed with her on everything. Kris took great care of our dog and kept us informed every day. We will definitely use her again and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.”

“Cameron and Tyson are fantastic and took such good care of my rambunctious catahoula while we were on vacation. I hope to use them for future overnight/ boarding for both my fur babies ☺️. Not only did Jackson have a great time, they managed his care instructions to a T and I had zero stress about his stay for the entire time we were gone.”

“Jessica was a great host! Before the stay, she asked about personality, play style, feeding habits, leash/walk habits, sleeping preferences, etc. I could tell from the daily pictures that Roxy was having an awesome time. She kept her busy with plenty of playtime and walks. Looking forward to having Roxy stay over in the future. 10/10”

“We were so extremely happy we found Christina. She took such good care of our furry friends. She was loving, and bonded excellently with them. I felt so much peace knowing she took care of them. Thank you once again Christina <3”

“My typically anxious dog settled in very well and was happy and content with Dave and Becky. Kiki was given the best care and Dave was great to work with and communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend!”
About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I found myself being the one to watch the dogs the most. I have done many overnight sittings. I've done day time dog sitting for my sister as well. Making sure to follow my better judgment and any instructions left behind for me. I watch my sister's dogs almost every week for two days, originally it was three days but her schedule changed. I'm mostly available any day of the week. Well I make sure to try and keep the space as clean as possible. If I am given instructions for pet care like how to feed, when they should have treats, etc I make sure to follow. I am very communicative when it come to pets, I will send pictures and ask questions if I need to. I try to keep everything as the same as I arrived.
“Darlene watched our little Sophie for 5 days, she sent pictures and communicated fast and friendly. Her environment is safe and dog friendly. She treated Sophie as part of her family. She took excellent care of our 12yr old pup, and I highly recommend her!”

“This was my first experience needing a sitter for my dog. I will always take my dogs to her. She was amazing. She went above and beyond taking care of Nona. Nona became sick right before our flight and Allison gave her the proper medication and when Nona arrived home, she was back to her old self. I'm just so grateful for her helping Nona recover. Allison sent me pictures and updates every day. I would highly recommend her to others. I will definitely use her next year.”

“Sally is the sweetest!!! This was the first time I ever boarded my own dog. It was a great experience. Sally sent lots of pictures & updates. Cashmere socialized with other doggies and had lots of TLC. I highly recommend Sally!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Pamela is wonderful with pets and humans! She goes above and beyond to help. This was my dogs first pet sitter and I think he wanted to stay. I hope everyone can have an opportunity to utilize her services!”

This is our second time booking with Nadolyn, and she was just as amazing as the first time! She sends constant updates, is very knowledgeable about pet care in general, and treats your pet as if they were her own! Her place is also great for pets, considering she's within walking distance from a dog park. Could not recommend her enough!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Continental home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Continental.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Continental sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
