“I first met with Marissa for a meet and greet to introduce her to my 7-lb. Morkie named, Maggie. After meeting her, I felt like I could go on an international vacation and feel confident about leaving Maggie with her. I knew Maggie would be loved and well cared for. Marissa provided me with daily updates and photographs. She addressed all of my concerns thru regular text messages. I highly recommend her!”

“We are pleased to have discovered Tammy and Stephen on Rover. They took great care of our pup during his staycation. Daily pics and videos. Looked like he was having a great time with his new roomies. Communication was great. Our pup gives them 2 paws up! He can’t wait to go back, actually I think he was a little bored to be back home.”

“Daniel was amazing, was able to book short notice and he was more then accommodating. Henny loved her stay with her new friends and Daniel! Thank you for your hospitality and flexibility!! We will definitely be booking Daniel again!!”

“Zoey looked like she was having a great time staying with K&K! I appreciated the photos sent and I was confident that she was well cared for. Will be using K&K again for sure!”

“Megan and her family were great! I think Woody misses all their attention. And when I discovered I had booked 1 day short, they were quick to agree to keeping him for the extra day. For which I was enormously relieved! We look forward to leaving Woody there on future trips!”

“She was amazing! We had a meet & greet beforehand that went well and she sent multiple updates on our doggies. Talking to Christina feels like you're talking to a friend even though we only met twice lol. Would totally recommend!”

“Kristen did a nice job of caring for our dog Sailor. She sent a picture while Sailor stayed overnight for the first time that she was settling in fine. Kept me updated on how she was doing. Will use Kristen again in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple pets at once. Some in my home and some at their home. My friends and family have relied on me to help them with their pet. I’m currently open to any sitting right now since I’m currently not working. I have a lot of time on my hands to help out. I am a stay at home mom. I do not have any pets of my own. I have a fenced back yard. Not too big but big enough for furry friends. Furry friends are welcome in my home as well and on the couch.
“Taylor took great care of our golden retriever for over two weeks. It’s obvious that she has lots of experience looking after dogs and is a responsible and observant person. She noticed something was wrong with our pup and immediately sprang into action. Our pup loved playing with Apollo and her kids. We felt very assured that Mochi was well taken care of and would recommend Taylor to others. Thank you Taylor!”

About: I’ve been around dogs for years and currently have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone you can actually trust with your pet. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding schedules, playtime, keeping up with routines, and giving dogs attention without overwhelming them. I’m pretty detail-oriented, so if your dog has a specific schedule, quirks, commands, favorite toys, or things they shouldn’t get into, I’ll follow what you normally do rather than changing their routine. I’m also happy to send pictures and updates so you know how they’re doing while you’re away. I work a regular weekday schedule, but I’m available before and after work, and I have more flexibility on weekends. I’m good about sticking to feeding, walking, medication, and bathroom schedules, so if your dog has a routine, I’ll follow it as closely as possible. I pay close attention to instructions, routines, and anything I should watch for with your dog. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, food, and medications are handled carefully, and I’ll keep you updated while you’re away. I want your dog to feel comfortable without changing what they’re already used to.
“Our pup loved her stay with Tricia and her sweet pups! Tricia is responsive, kind, flexible, and has a very welcoming space! She provided updates throughout the stay and definitely made sure our pup was well cared for. Highly recommend her services, we will be looking for her availability in the future. Thank you for taking the best care of our girl!”

About: Hi! I'm Becca, a Tucson dog mom who genuinely loves spending time with dogs of all ages and personalities. I know every dog has their own routine, and I'm happy to stick to whatever helps them feel comfortable. Whether your pup needs a long walk, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or medication, I'm here to make sure they're well cared for while you're away. My goal is simple: to treat your dog like part of my own family so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. I can schedule for walks or drop-ins before and after work (morning and evenings). I have open availability most weekends for house sitting or boarding. I have a 3 bedroom split level house. My home is a clean, comfortable space where dogs can relax and feel at ease. I have one dog of my own and make sure introductions are done carefully so everyone feels safe.
About: I have cared for pets my whole life and understand the importance of keeping them happy, healthy, and safe. I provide regular potty breaks and allow plenty of supervised play and roaming time. I always clean up after them, follow feeding schedules and make sure they get the love, attention, and care they deserve. I’ll treat your pets like they’re part of my family. I recently graduated and am waiting to start college. This gives me plenty of free time and flexibility to dedicate to caring for pets. I’m currently available Monday through Saturday at any time, so I can easily adjust to your pet’s schedule and needs. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe and supervised environment where they get regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I have two friendly dogs who love to play and can help keep your pet active and socialized. I stick to feeding schedules and always make sure fresh water is available. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow the same routine while respecting their space and instructions. I make sure pets feel comfortable, keep their areas clean, and give them the love and care they’re used to in their own home.
About: Hi! Available for (much of) Santa Cruz and Cochise Counties, including Ft Huachuca. I grew up on a farm, worked at a vet clinic, and have always had animals and pets when my life permitted. I have a passion for our furry "family members" as well as learning all different types of animal behavior. Dogs, cats, horses, cows, donkeys, fish, and even took care of a camel a time or two. My professional and athletic life has taken me around the world, and frankly, caring for pets of family, friends and neighbors throughout the years has still always been a most gratifying highlight! I have the patience and energy to match dogs of all temperaments, so let me know how I can support you and your family! If my profile is visible, it means I have plenty of time to help out with your furry family members, be it pet-sitting, walking, or just checking in on them. I have a highly-flexible schedule and a vehicle large enough to crate/transport if needed. As far as housesitting, depending on the proximity, would be flexible on either daily check-in and/or possibly overnights. Please reach out in advance to discuss. I live on a large ranch but do prefer to keep them leashed when walking (until I know they heel well AND to keep YOU more confident). I'm flexible on this based on consults with you. They would sleep indoors, and if you prefer, I could easily crate as well. Non-smoking home. You can bet I'll treat them as my own!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Madera Canyon home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Madera Canyon.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Madera Canyon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
