House Sitting in Congers

About: I have 3 cats and 2 mice, so I have a lot of experience taking care of cats and small animals. I love dogs and have pet-sat for my friends with small and medium size dogs I work a full time job Monday - Friday. I am available to do drop-ins before 7:30am or after 4:30 pm on weekdays. I am always available in the evenings or weekends. I will follow whatever guidelines the owner's give. Otherwise, my base care is to give dogs 2 walks a day and at least 30 minutes of playtime for both dogs and cats. Ensure the pets are fed and gone potty/clean litterboxes.

“Gillian did a great job taking care of the pups. She asked all of the right questions to make sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. She communicated well with comments and pictures. When she came back to leave our key the pups were excited to see her. That’s all I needed to confirm she made them happy.”

“David did an outstanding job watching our dog, Trixie. He walked her often during the day, and had her out early in the morning and well into the evening. He came to our home the day before his scheduled time to meet with us, and to see the dog. He wanted Trixie to see us together with him, so she would be comfortable knowing that he was an accepted part of our pet family. He left our home in perfect condition when we came back from a brief vacation. David is a very nice person and he is well suited with pets. “She’s amazing with dogs! She did house sitting and dog sitting for us. She had previously dog sat for our dogs and then we had her booked again, but then had some last minute big family changes and suddenly inherited 2 new dogs. With the big changes we had to switch around which dogs she watched for the week. She was extremely accommodating and understanding. Also, those dogs had been through some recent trauma and she worked so hard to build their trust and by the end of the week they were cuddling up and loving on her. About: I’ve trained many pups, and can tell you that it’s not fun or exciting but always rewarding. I know the signs of all health problems and can accommodate accordingly. Ever since having a dog myself I understand how much you have to sacrifice for them, much like a child. Although a child doesn’t poop or pee on the floor, or chew up the baseboards. I will always fit pet care into my schedule wherever I can. I can walk them right before class, or take them out to play while I do homework. If there is a fenced yard I will sit outside and watch to see if your dog will get into any trouble. I have a super reactive dog and will never leave him unsupervised even if it’s just on the front porch with the gate closed.
