About: I’ve had dogs in my home all of my life. I have walked dogs at the Humane Society of Concord and Cabarrus County once a week for over a year. My wife and I have been retired since December 2024. I am looking for a part time opportunity to interact and care for your pets. We regularly walk our 3 year old pit mix. I also walk dogs at the Humane Society of Concord and Cabarrus County once a week. I have been walking dogs for them for over a year.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs my whole adult life, and even before then! I adopted my first cat at age 8 and loved him immensely. At age 10, my dad brought home a golden retriever, and although he was my brother's dog, I was the one who walked him every night. At age 18, I adopted a bunny after my friends and I watched a man dump a litter of domesticated rabbit babies in a park. One month after moving in with my husband, we adopted a kitten born feral. Over the last 2 decades, we have adopted 6 more kittens, most of them also born feral. 16 years ago, we brought home our first puppy and I vowed then to be a dog-mom for life. After she passed, I wasted no time adopting another, and we currently have 2 dogs, 4 cats, and a turtle! Our turtle is a 20+ year old who we brought in 6 years ago when his previous owners didn't want him anymore. We have also raised 2 additional bunnies several years ago when my kids were small. I have a 9am-3pm Monday through Friday work schedule, so I am pretty flexible for feeding and letting dogs out to potty before and after work. Since we do not have a fenced yard, we have our dogs on a lead, but we do not leave them outside unsupervised due to neighbors and other animals who wander the neighborhood. Our animals roam free during the day when we are home, but at night or when we are gone we will put certain animals in their respective "safe zones". In a client's home I respect whatever their wishes are for caring for their pets.

“Paula did a great job taking care of our 2 dogs, one with significant medical issues, on short notice. Would not hesitate to hire her again in the future.”

“Absolutely LOVE Makena!! She was amazing with my pup and went above and beyond with her every single day. Selfishly I should say not to book so I can make sure she’s always available when I leave town… but I can’t be that mean haha. BOOK HER ALWAYS ❤️”

“Ella is amazing! My kitties loved her and she took great care of them.”

“When our plans changed at the last minute, we needed someone to check on our two dogs and give them an outside-break. Audrey responded to our request quickly and came by the day before our scheduled visit so, the dogs could meet her while we were present. Audrey demonstrated good awareness of their personality quirks and both dogs seemed to take to her right away.”

About: There’s been pets in my family ever since my birth. I can still name them all & recall the fond memories I had with each & every one. I just wished they lived longer! I don’t have any pets that currently live with me, but my mom has 2 Boston Terriers & a Shihpoo that I go visit a few times a week. I currently work full time Monday through Friday. I leave for work around 7:30am & usually return home around 5:30. I’m single with no kids, so my weekends are usually always free. The dogs in the pictures belong to my mom & live at her house, but I love them like they’re mine! My back yard is fenced & I live in a rather large subdivision. I’d only be able to board overnight on the weekends. During the week I could do walks in the evenings as needed.

About: Hi! I’m Penelope :) I provide loving, dependable care tailored to your pet’s unique needs- whether that’s playtime and plenty of walks for high energy pups, or a calm cozy space for senior dogs to rest and relax. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality. Your furry friend will be treated like family, with lots of affection, routine, and care you can count on! Ps: picture number 5 is how excited I feel around dogs! I’m currently working from home part-time, so I have plenty of time to walk your pets, feed, play, and just hangout! I have availability for all days of the week. I have a large fenced in yard and have a 4 year old Spaniel-mix named Mia! I’d be happy to go on walks, play tug of war, or throw the ball :) pets and cuddles are always included!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 5 years, from energetic puppies to wise seniors. I’m patient, reliable, and deeply passionate about animals. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just being a comforting presence while you’re away, I tailor my care to your pet’s needs. I prioritize safety, routine, and making sure your dog feels secure and loved while you’re gone. Caring for pets is a natural and fulfilling part of my everyday life. I structure my days around their needs—whether it’s morning walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or medication. I enjoy staying active, so walking dogs or spending time outdoors with them fits in perfectly. I also make time for quiet bonding moments like brushing or cuddling, especially for senior pets or those who need extra comfort. Pet care isn’t a task for me—it’s a part of how I start and end each day with purpose and joy. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. I stick closely to your pet’s usual routine—feeding times, walk schedules, and play preferences—so they feel secure and comfortable. In my home, pets have plenty of space to relax, play, and get one-on-one attention throughout the day. If I’m in your home, I treat it with the utmost respect, ensuring your pet gets consistent companionship and care while keeping things clean and tidy. I’m attentive to behavior, energy levels, and any special needs so your pet always feels at ease.

I am well equipped to take care of dogs with special needs as I cared diligently for my own Husky who had many medical issues in her old age - I wiped her stomach after every bathroom trip, prepared special meals that were easier to eat, and provided her with ample amounts of love and comfort. I am also a former Humane Society staff member, so I have professional training in reading dog body language and responding appropriately. I have had exposure to every type of dog and truly never met one that I didn't instantly love! My schedule is very flexible! Concord dog parents share their Rover experiences
Tess was absolutely Amazing!!! I didn’t have to worry about my baby girl with the pictures and the specific updates on when she ate, drank and went to the bathroom. I knew she was being walked and taken very well. Good care of. I’m grateful for her and my baby girl got the best of care while I was gone. She communicated immediately or almost immediately and I had no worries with that as well. A huge relief! Thank you so much, Tess!!! You rock!!!

Chelsea did an AMAZING job with our two pups. She walked them each day we were gone and sent lots of pictures! Felt very safe and comfortable using her and would book again!

Elisa continues to be a wonderful resource for our family. Sadly, we will be leaving Miami soon, otherwise she would have surely been our trusted dog sitter for years to come. To any family looking for somebody amazing to take care of their beloved pets, we could not enthusiastically recommend Elisa more.

Britney has been periodically doing drop-in visits for my German shepherd for a for months now. She is respectful of my home while I’m out and gets along well with my dog. Watching my dog jump up to say “hello!” when she’s let out of her crate through my security system is always adorable. Communication is on point and she is pretty flexible with scheduling. Would recommend!

Tia was great! I hired her for a quick drop in visit to let my 6 babies out during the day while I was at work and she was great! Plenty of communication and she even sent me pics.

The beginning was very rough to handle our boys, but she did an excellent job with them both. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would because Katheryn went above and beyond. We thank her so much for watching.

Angela always does a wonderful job caring for Max when we are out of town. He looks forward to walks with her each and every visit! We are so thankful for Angela.

Stephanie was incredible. This was the first time I used rover and was really nervous about leaving our fur baby with someone he didn’t know. Stephanie really went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable with her. She sent updates on how he was and shared some awesome pictures of him. It was an extremely comforting knowing that our pup was in good hands. Thank you Stephanie for taking such great care of Stihl💜
