Jennifer was kind, and eased a lot of my anxiety about needing to book a dog sitter last minute. She sent me frequent updates and pictures that made my heart happy. And on top of all of that, I came home to a happy, stress-free dog, which was all I could ask for. I will definitely keep Jen in mind in the future!

About: I have experience caring for dogs, cats, hamsters, and even fish! I send regular photo updates, can bathe your pets, walk them, clean your yard, and provide reliable overnight care. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether you need short term or long term help, I’m here to make things easier for you and your furry friends! I am currently working full-time from 3–11 PM at Providence and in the Air Force National Guard, but I can still easily accommodate morning and evening drop in visits, walks, or house sitting checks. My schedule actually aligns perfectly with typical pet routines: I handle early AM visits before my shift starts and late PM/evening ones right after I get off work. I’m very flexible on weekends and off days, and I always prioritize reliable, on time care for your pets! I care for pets in their own home where they feel most safe and comfortable. I follow all instructions carefully, keep their environment clean, and make sure they get love, play, and attention. I always respect your space and treat it like my own, ensuring your pet feels secure while you’re away.

Tifany made me feel comfortable in leaving my dogs in her care. She met with my dogs a couple times before the trip so they could get to know each other. My dogs are a bit picky about strangers and they warmed up to her quickly. During my trip, Tifany sent me daily updates and videos which reassured me that I had left them in good hands. She took wonderful care of my dogs while I was away and I would definitely use her services again. I highly recommend Tifany to anyone looking for a responsible, kind and caring individual to watch their pets while they are away.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life. Soon enough I started getting pet sitting gigs from friends and family. From elderly dogs to 5 week old kittens I love and cherish every moment with them making sure they get all my love and attention. I’m currently waiting to hear back from jobs so I have all the time in the world currently. So if you need a pet sitter I’m available! I have two skittish cats in my home so I sadly cannot take care of pets in my home. When it comes to clients animals I make sure they are comfortable with me and give them the attention they want. I available for long walks and lot of play time outside.

I usually can be found studying throughout the day. I work a small gym job in the mornings for an hour, coach on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 till 8PM and then I work longer nights on Fridays and Saturdays at a restaurant (typically starting at 5PM and finishing around 10PM). About: I provide dependable, attentive pet care with a focus on making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. What sets me apart is my commitment to treating every pet as an individual. I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, preferences, and any special needs so they receive the same level of care they're accustomed to at home. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, from small companion dogs to large and giant breeds. I am also experienced with puppies who require consistent training, structure, and patience, as well as senior pets who may need extra attention, mobility support, specialized care, and a gentler pace. I understand that every stage of a pet's life comes with unique needs, and I tailor my care accordingly. I am comfortable administering medications and have experience handling complex medication schedules and specialized care routines. Whether your pet requires oral medications, topical treatments, injections, supplements, or multiple medications on a strict schedule, I am committed to following instructions carefully and ensuring their health and comfort remain a top priority. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, which is why I prioritize clear communication and reliability. You'll receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, healthy, and well cared for. Whether your pet loves long walks, active playtime, quiet companionship, or extra patience and attention, I adapt my care to meet their unique needs. My goal is not only to care for your pet but to build a relationship where they feel excited and comfortable every time they see me. I take pride in being punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented, ensuring feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications, and household instructions are followed carefully. Your pet's safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities, and I strive to provide the same level of love, attention, and care that you would give them yourself. I have full-time availability that can be uniquely tailored to the needs of your pets while also offering overnight-in home assistance if needed. When caring for pets in their own home, my priority is creating a safe, calm, and stress-free experience by maintaining the routines and environment they already know and trust. I understand that pets feel most secure when their daily schedule remains consistent, so I carefully follow feeding instructions, exercise routines, medication schedules, and any special care requirements provided by the owner. I take the time to build trust with each pet by moving at their pace, using positive interactions, and respecting their individual personality and comfort level. Whether a pet is energetic and social or shy and cautious, I provide patient, attentive care that helps them feel secure while their family is away. Safety is always my top priority. I ensure doors, gates, and outdoor areas are secure, monitor pets closely during walks and playtime, and keep their living space clean and hazard-free. I also maintain open communication with owners through regular updates and photos, providing peace of mind that their pet is happy, healthy, and receiving excellent care. By caring for pets in the comfort of their own home, I help reduce anxiety, preserve familiar routines, and create a trusting environment where pets can feel relaxed, safe, and well-loved until their family returns.

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 12, it started with my sister's dog and I've slowly expanded to neighbors and friends loving pets! Im good with knowing their body language so I know how to react appropriately. Im used to long walks with dogs. I make sure the dog is happy. Im a part time photographer so I'm almost always home! I do school online so I won't be gone during the day. I have time for 2-3 walks a day, lots of play time. I have a fenced yard to let them out if it's an emergency or if they just want to run. I take dogs on 2-3 walks a day depending on what the dog wants. I let dogs sleep with me in my bed, I love cuddling on the couch as well. I love playing tug of war. If the dog gets messy while at my house I will give them a bath. If brushing is part of their routine I will gladly do that! I love playing with pets! They will have all my attention unless they want to be left alone.

About: I’ve had the joy of caring for pets in a variety of situations, from walking and sitting for two pups who needed regular medication, to looking after a friend’s energetic pair of dogs and three cats at once. These experiences taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of tailoring care to each pet’s unique needs. I’m confident handling both calm and high-energy pets, and I’m comfortable with administering medication when needed. Whether it’s making sure a senior dog gets their meds on time, or giving extra playtime to rowdy pups and curious cats, I treat every animal with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I’m a college student with a schedule that’s very pet-care friendly. Most days I’m done with classes by noon, which means I have plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings for walks, playtime, and drop-ins. I’m also available on weekends. Even though I’m part-time, I’m consistent and reliable; you can count on me to be there when I say I will. I care for pets in their own home, keeping them safe, happy, and on their usual routine. I follow all instructions carefully and treat your home with respect, so both you and your pets can feel at ease.

About: For over a decade now, I have cared for animals across the range- farm animals, cats, and dogs. All of my pets receive loads of attention and love, no matter the age. Currently I am a college (running start) student and a track athlete, so my schedule has flexibility for pet care and house sitting. Aside from 10:30 am- 12:30pm on a daily basis, 10:30am-1:30 pm on Friday’s, some evenings from meets, and Saturday, I am available throughout the day and week for services from dog walks to house sitting. In a clients home I can follow the pet’s normal schedule for walking and feeding, including administering medications. For house sitting, my schedule allows flexibility to visit often and look after plants and pets.

Alondra was wonderful! She communicates very well, is very friendly, polite, nice. She asks all the right questions and stays in contact sending me pictures of my puppy. I am extremely happy with Alondra and greatly appreciate her helping me with the last minute booking. I highly recommend her!

FAQs for House Sitting - College Place

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in College Place on Rover is $66.24 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 59 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across College Place. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred College Place walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in College Place maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in College Place choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
