“Adam was a wonderful caregiver to our tiny bottle fed kittens.you can tell he absolutely loves and has a heart for cats. My kittens came back calm and super happy. I will definitely book again!”
About: Hello! My name is Leslie. I live in Victoria, Texas. I have 20 plus years of experience taking care of puppies and dogs of all different breeds. I began in Junior High. Anything I could do to help friends, family and neighbors with their FurBabies. I'm very proud to mention that Animal Care is my full time job! My fiancé/partner, Brian is retired and watches FurBabies full time with me. Brian also has 20 plus years experience with FurBabies. He is absolutely wonderful with all breeds and has seven years German Passive Schutzhund (IGP) training as a previous business. We are fully competent and will not crate (unless absolutely necessary or requested) To previous clients - Our sweet fur baby boy, Jobee sadly passed away from old age in late November 2025. He was a joy to us and all dogs that we have boarded, we miss him dearly and would love to have your fur babies in his place. We have an extremely flexible schedule and reliable transportation. We are responsible, caring, organized, relaxed, energetic and friendly hosts. We adore Furbabies and care immensely for their comfort and happiness. We open our home to your Furbabies and treat them as our own family. Our entire three bedroom house is open and set for multi dog sitting (except bathrooms and storage room) Rest assured, our eyes are on your fur babies at all times. Rather it be our front yard, or spacious backyard which include cameras, alerts and tags as liability backup (yard and house is proofed against diggers and tricksters) We both have basic emergency medical care training for dogs & cats. We also have an outstanding, trustworthy, emergency veterinarian. Pet care is our daily routine. We have a very open and flexible schedule. Extremely superb at keeping schedule organized so your fur baby is with at least one of us, watched, loved and played with. Only unavailable for personal or unforeseen events. We have a wooden fenced large backyard, no hazards with bricks flush under fence line so no digging out can occur, preventing FurBaby escape. We bleach clean surfaces, spray back yard, bleach wash linens to stop viral and bacterial threats to keep your Furbabies in a safe, sterile and clean environment. Whether outside or inside, Furbabies are always watched. We have a roomy home with two dog rooms and use open living/dining room as common play area with furniture and full sized mattress. We also provide extra play toys, games, leashes, safe treats, natural shampoos for relaxing baths we provide if requested or needed. Everything your fur baby needs to feel comfortable and right at home. You are always welcome to tour our home! Brian and I lead a healthy, smoke free, and alcohol free lifestyle. You can rest easy knowing that your pet is in a safe, composed and consistent environment with us. Anything like special diets, medicine, recent sickness (it is important we know this so we can monitor health) or other needs you feel we should know about your FurBabies, please tell us and we will happily oblige. Projecting love, companionship, attention, ensuring the well-being, happiness and keeping a calm mental state environment to keep your FurBabies at ease is paramount to us. We also prefer to send photos and updates throughout your day so you have more peace of mind.
About: I had a long-standing Rover account with Leslie A but I had to create this one because our other account was in away mode for too long leading to this new account; however, star-sitter status was lost due to the extended absence; see Leslie A Rover account we sit together at our House set up for dog boarding. Rover requires a new account and will not transfer reviews. Dogs are watched 24/7; we NEVER leave them alone. I keep dogs with me and give them free rein of our home. Dogs needing special care go to one of three spaces where I can always see and hear them (if separation is required, which has yet to happen). Our safe, protected rooms are always monitored, and the entire house is dog-centered to prevent access to Kitchen & Bathrooms, furniture is for dogs, with a huge open wood floor common area. I know how to prevent and act during doggie emergencies and how to spot possible health changes; if the slim chance arises that a dog has an issue while under our care, we are prepared. We provide fun play, walks, and backyard games all day (or indoor lounging if your fur baby is sensitive to heat or cold). I enjoy nothing more than dogs; we baby and love them. We lost our Schnauzer/Shih Tzu to old age; he will be missed by us and our previous clients' dogs, so there are no dogs here of our own as of yet, though he loved his Rover friends. I have never allowed a negative issue, emergency, or simple dog mistake to happen. I treat every dog as though they were my child. Liability is at the forefront of my mind, alongside ensuring your fur baby feels at home and at ease within a very short time after the first drop-off. Leslie and I have become very good at this. We kept dogs for extra money before Rover and during Rover's growth, except for a 1.5-year gap in 2025/2026 due to schooling and family loss. I am a natural with dogs but have also been taught by dog trainers; I leveraged that skill to side-train when I had my own security and safety contracting company, which I lost due to a very rare genetic heart condition. It was a miracle to survive; I spent months in the hospital being studied to help catch the elusive problem before it kills a higher percentage of the population, and this changed my life outlook. I apply this entire outlook to life and how I look after dogs and all life under my care. I fix issues beforehand for the best possible chance of avoiding them, or ensuring expedited and proper handling, occurs. I naturally have a gift with dogs; when you book with Leslie A and me, you get two sitters in one, so your dog is never alone. They are always loved and receive massive attention at all times. ALL dogS thoroughly enjoy days and nights with us, whether it is one dog and us or multiples. We have everything needed in case you forget something. We take what we do very seriously. Leslie A and my accounts cannot actually be linked as one, so price discrepancy resolutions and deals can be made between the two accounts. Leslie is our main sitting account; we tailor everything specifically to high-end treatment of your dog's stay. Everything, all day, every day, is about them—how they feel, attention, love, and most important feeling safe & at home. We do not kennel them, ignore them or treat them as just a job, as some sitters do. They get to play and are allowed in every dog-safe zone of the house to be themselves. They are always walked on strong leashes & fit strong collars next to us us for control/safety we provide the strong leash and walking collars/huggers. We keep our eyes on them, ensure collars are secure. The backyard is dog-proofed even for your average digger. The environment is very calm; if we have a mix of dogs that makes one uncomfortable, we separate them into another room. We do not lock them in a cage. They receive plenty of play, love, snuggles, and whatever makes them happy. We stay happy, jovial, and playful because dogs pick up on emotions. We stay in substantial contact with the owner and try to get the best pictures, though movement & the app on one phone can sometimes makes it difficult. I had a phone that did not run well for pictures, but I have rectified that. This house is for dogs. You can look and see how safe and open it is; the main playroom is very spacious, the secondary playroom is also spacious, and the entire space is full of sunlight due to very large windows and several sliding glass doors. Rooms 3 and 4 are for separation only if needed, which has never happened so far. We have a good round up to 12ft radius pen or use playroom 2 if required. If there is a group of very small puppies, we can easily place them together in rooms 3 or 4 for puppy-only play and slow introductions to any other dog that may seem scary to the puppy at first but is actually gentle. They are always watched and kept close by me and/or Leslie A while we love and play with them. We have movable cameras for watching them closely if they need to be in puppy room 3 or 4. We have common open floor space, a full-size doggie romp bed, safe doggie couches, and multiple smaller, washable doggie beds so they can always find their comfort zone. If you would like a lot of reports or have a set schedule, let us know and we will oblidge. We prefer a basic update approach so as not to cut into your free time, especially for established clients. This place is designed and set up, as well as being improved, for dog care of all kinds. It is literally a larhe open house set up for dogs. There is no need to worry if a furry family member chews or messes something up, as everything inside is safe and it is not a problem if a dog ruins it so no suprise fees. We have massive potty pads and hardwood floors in the main living/playroom that do not slide or soak through and are machine washable. I cannot express enough how this house and our methods are geared toward keeping all dogs under my and Leslie's As care extremely busy, entertained, loved, and comfortable. We have the extra equipment, and I have the training and directing skills to keep even a dog healing from an injury extremely comfortable without aggravating their condition or slowing down their healing time, even by doing light physical therapy. I have taken everything in my life—from studies to jobs to my business—with the utmost seriousness and have always aimed for top performance, even after I lost it all and had to fight to live on lifelong disability back in 2008. I take that same work ethic and funnel it into the work we do here at the Doghouse on Taos, where boarding is intimate, no dog is left alone, and everything that can be thought of is done to provide someone's fur baby with the best, most comfortable, at-home experience during what tends to be a stressful and trying time for new sitter dogs as they act differently at a ditters than at home on occassion at first, ranging from a few hours to several days depending on the dog. As they watch their parents leave and realize they aren't coming back soon, we mitigate that feeling to nonexistence or its bare minimum, and we are damn good at it. So almost always, no matter how attached or how anxious they are, we get them to a happy, distracted state where they are acting much like themselves very fast. If you want your dog's stay to be top-of-the-pops, in a safe environment, where they are not just left to be ignored for hours, with happiness and joyfulness turned all the way up, and every positive emotion oozing out while every negative emotion fades fast after drop-off, then the Doghouse we have made is for your fur babies, and you are the kind of owner who wants that for their fur baby & everything else to maximize their joy. The customer is always right here as well, so if you have instructions, things you want done, or things that are not allowed, you tell us and we follow them to the max! I use your training words, gestures, and action if requested instead of my own. but you are the owner and what you say goes; we do not judge. Regarding puppies, we have a lot of questions first, so do not feel bombarded. With puppies, the more we know about yours, the more redundancy and paths we have to the maximum success and a loving stay! This was not AI-written; I have a TBI from the CA event. So, for any typos, grammatical errors, etc., I apologize, but I think I explained the Doghouse well, our goal, work ethic and joy a dogs joy brings us. We have safe toys, the best procier US made treats, and high quality best tolerated dog food brands in case you forget in a hurry. Free of charge. (For dogs of all ages) as well as dog medical kits just in case and we know how to use them. And have a great 24hr emergency vet if your vet does not do 24hrs. Me and Leslia A have thought of and done everything we can think of for what's best for your pups/fur babies happiness and safety. We have finished Doggie rooms. With some minor remodel work needing done in kitchen. We bleach clean everything (which is where hardwood floors help so much) to eradicate parvo and other dangerous diseases/pathogens after each dog stay. Your liability is minimized as well as you won't be held responsible to injury to someone else. Dogs can be very different but all have an abundance of love & fun which we get as much as that out of them as possible. We are in our young 40s. We do not smoke, drink, party, have friends over. Our doggie clients are our friends and our focus. Im free at home all day. Your fur babies get 100% of my attention. I Follow owner instructions to the T! No Escapes! No damgerous treats or toys allowed. Everything is out of reach of any cat or dog of any size. Locked away. Fenced in w/dig stoppers have toys/leash all sizes to play! Olay!.. I have massive padded urine pads to protect carpet & dogs playing on hardwood. A queensize dog bed in living room for bouncy fun. Me and my fiancé god bless her did rover for years on her account w/ phone crushed I dont know how to get into our old account. Im hoping people remmember us. I bring everything you agree upon fur babies related from home so if they need daycare/boarding here they are used to the environment. I have never has a dog i could not handle and get calm.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Coletoville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Coletoville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coletoville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
