About: I have three years of dog-sitting experience, caring for everything from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. As a proud pet parent myself, I believe in showering our babies with all the love and affection their precious lives deserve. I prioritize active, joyful outdoor time, including trips to the park, long walks, and relaxing together on the back porch! I'm correctly working part time and have a fairly flexible schedule. I want to be able to prioritize your pet's needs whether that looks like 1+ hour walks/ enrichment time or special feeding times and instructions. Your pets comfort is my number 1 priority. I love to go on long walks, go to the dog park, or used the fenced in dog space in my neighborhood to allow our babies the time they need to play and get the enrichment that they need. A pet is always welcome to make themselves at home in my space even if that means that I have to adapt certain things to their needs like assistance getting in bed for puppies and elder dogs or making sure that their favorite toys are always available for them to play with.
“Destini is an amazingly kind caregiver and Pet Whisperer! I needed pet care at the last minute and she was our superhero. ?♀️??? From the moment she walked in, our Mini Bernedoodle Sapphire could not contain her excitement, and greeted her with happy piddle pee, which is rare. Destini did not hesitate to communicate and ask any clarifying questions. She takes pictures that capture the joy of our pets and left our house exactly as we left it. Our cats are not as social, but Destini was able to connect with one and confirm sightings of the other to assure us that they were content and and cared for. I would recommend Destini to ANYONE at any time for any reason. She is a first-rate caregiver and animal lover. And I intend to request Destini on Rover exclusively in the future!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ?????”

“Ashlyn was great. We scheduled her for 6 drop-in visits while we were away. She showed up on time and made sure our dogs were let out and had adequate play time. She also made sure they had plenty of water when they were out in the heat. I would definitely use her again.”
“April was great to work with. She reassured us that our cat would be well taken care of while we were out of town, and she sent photos and videos during each visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her to pet sit again anytime.”

About: I’ve grown up having two dogs in my house at a time since I was born until I left for college. Since being in college, I’ve been fostering dogs to give them a happy, comfortable, and safe few days out of the shelter! I have always had a love for dogs whether they are my own or one passing by me on the street. I’ve pet sit for many acquaintances and family and would love to take care of your fur baby as well! I’m a college student with a very flexible schedule, and I’m never away from my apartment for more than 1–2 hours at a time. I also foster dogs often, so I’m used to providing consistent attention, care, and love. I can easily be available throughout the day for walks, cuddles, and any extra care your pet needs! I live in an apartment, so while I don’t have a yard, I make up for it with frequent walks and lots of attention. In my home, I make sure pets feel comfortable and safe, keeping their routines as close as possible to what they’re used to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely, keep things tidy, and make sure each pet gets plenty of care, playtime, and cuddles!

I am very attentive to all animals under my care. I will always have my eyes on them and I love to provide enrichment activities.
“Picked up my check-in request on short notice and met up the next day to go over everything and get the key. Was communicative and made sure my 9 month old cat got through the few days I was gone. Stinky Pete approved”

Now that I’m old enough I want to start looking after other people’s pets more because they say do what you love. I’m in college so it’s hard to navigate between being in my college town in my home town, but I’m doing the best I can to take care of as many pets as my schedule allows. I follow specific instructions and say with the pets as long as my schedule allows. I love to send pictures of the pets for their owners because I know how much I would miss my baby. I make sure I have eyes on the pets before I leave so I don’t close them in a room and notify parents of any weird behavior.

I have also had cats of all different temperaments, from shy and particular to loving and outgoing. I have further pet care experience from helping my parents foster many puppies and kittens over the last eight years. I also worked for a vet’s office for three years, cleaning up, feeding the animals, and taking them for walks. I love all pets and I have enough experience to take care of them well! I am a senior at the University of Alabama and I only have one-two classes a day, so that leaves me plenty of time to care for your pets! I can check on them in the morning, late afternoon, or evening! Whenever taking care of your pets, I will make sure all the necessary doors are shut and locked when leaving to avoid escapes. Additionally, I will make sure I follow any other specific instructions perfectly to avoid anything going wrong in your home!

About: Dog lover! I’ve been caring for dogs for about 3 years and it’s been very rewarding. I’m very friendly and caring, I love to cuddle and show affection towards all animals. I like parks and being outiside so your dog will have a lot of outdoor fun. I love the company dogs provide after a long day. I’m very careful and cautious when it comes to dog/human interactions. I am very aware that people can be afraid of dogs so I try to make sure that your pet will be in a dog friendly environment. I enjoy what I do and I plan to exceed your expectations when it comes to caring for your pet. I cannot wait to start loving and bonding with your dog. I work full time but have a flexible schedule. Usually home by 4pm. If your pet is at my home I like to stop by between 12pm-2pm for walks, potty break, and cuddles. I also have security to ensure safety while away. I live in a quiet community with plenty of yard space and sidewalks. If I am at your home I will make sure to follow all of you instructions thoroughly and leave it nice and clean.

About: I’ve had pets in my home my entire life! Multiple dogs and at least one cat at a time. We have fostered many puppies and dogs some were medically fragile through our local humane society. I am excited to meet your pets because I miss being around my own pets since I’m 4 hours from home and they are truly like one of our family members! I’m a full time student at the University of Alabama so I’m able to fit in pet care around my classes!! My classes are primarily in the morning!! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
