“Destini is an awesome pet sitter! She doesn’t mind doing the dirty work that sometimes comes with the job and she loves the snuggles with the pets. She took great care of our dogs, one of which had huge seperation anxiety and left her messes each visit. I apologize again Destini. I recommend her! Thank you again for taking such good care of our babies!”

“Mary demonstrated absolute resilience in providing care for Nyla, a pet requiring SIGNIFICANT attention, successfully navigating challenges through extremely innovative approaches. We absolutely appreciate Mary never giving up and insisting on making it work! Thank you so much, Mary!”

“I've worked as a sitter, but never been a client before! April was wonderful with my cats, and was great at following my hectic instructions last minute for my trip.”

“Isabella is hands down the best pet sitter I’ve had the privilege of hiring. She was very flexible with my last minute needs, her communication is top tier, and If there was ever a problem (my fault) she was good at letting me know. My puppy is a big fan of her per the daily photos I received. She has won me over as a repeat client and I look forward to taking another trip without the stress of worrying about my puppy’s needs. Thank you again, Isabella! (:”

“Catherine was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure that my pups were well taken care of while my husband and I were away. Both of my dogs suffer from separation anxiety, and she did everything she could to make the both of them feel comfortable. She sent daily updates with photos at each drop in to let me know how they were doing!”

About: I have many years of experience with dogs and other pets of all kinds. I was a sitter for many local families and their pets were always taken care of and loved. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away, and I always treat every animal like my own. I am a college student completing my work online. I am home full time spend most of my dog spending time with my dog polar. I have a quiet house for dogs who prefer a more peaceful environment but I also have a fenced in park area where I sometimes spend the day at for more high energy pets. The environment is very safe and your pets will be watched and safe at all time.

About: I’ve had dogs in my home for as long as I can remember, and being around them has been a part of my life since birth. Because of that, I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Spending time with them has always been one of my greatest joys, especially if it’s going for long walks and giving belly rubs. I’m currently set to attend law school, which means I’m temporarily separated from my own fur baby back home. While I miss her every day, pet sitting gives me the chance to share that same love and attention with your pets. Caring for animals fills a space in my heart and allows me to do something I genuinely enjoy while helping fellow pet parents have peace of mind. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pup is energetic and loves adventures or prefers cuddles and quiet companionship, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, which is why keeping you updated with plenty of photos, videos, and messages is of the utmost importance to me. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged best friend! I am currently taking the summer off from any part-time jobs and internships before I start school this August. I have a very open and flexible schedule! When caring for your pet in your home, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while maintaining the routine they’re familiar with. I’m also great at following specific instructions because I know every pet has unique needs.
“We came back as a repeat client but with an additional pet and Alex was great yet again! We had a tornado scare while we were traveling and she went the extra mile to ensure our cats’ safety. We would use her again in a heartbeat!”

About: About Us: We’re a dog-loving couple with experience caring for our own pups and others’. We offer a calm, loving home with a fenced yard and give lots of attention. We’re home most evenings and weekends, and we’re happy to stick to your dog’s routine to the best of ability. Whether it’s cuddles, fetch, or medication needs—we’ve got it handled! Why We Do This: We know how important it is to find someone you trust. Our dogs are part of our family, and we treat your fur baby the same way! We both work full-time during the day, but pet care still fits naturally into our routine. Mornings and evenings are structured and calm—ideal for play time in the backyard, feeding, and one-on-one time with your pup. Your dog will get plenty of attention before the day starts, and once we’re home, our evenings are dedicated to winding down with our pets. Weekends are usually spent at home, giving us time for longer playtime and cuddles. With our love for animals and established routines, your dog will feel safe, cared for, and part of our little family. If we visit your home, we will be sure to take care of your animal before and after our work day-as needed. We have a fenced in backyard, two dogs for company (a dog fence in the house if they you’re not comfortable with them mingling), and we will spoil your dog-just like we do ours! Our dogs have prescription food, need special care, and medicine, so those things are not unfamiliar to us!
“Leah was great!! She always showed up for drop-ins, and followed our feeding instructions perfectly. She took great care of our cat, played with her during visits, and sent pictures each time. I'd definitely choose Leah again!”

I have been passionate about animals since I was a child and this love for animals has grown over the years. I own 3 dog and a ferret – all are extremely well taken care of. Therefore, I am able to provide the same amount of love and care for your dogs as I do it for my own pets. My comprehension of the needs of pets, especially those of dogs, is outstanding – from feeding them food with the right nutrients to walking them, I know it all. I hope you will allow me to give your furry friend the best service! I currently work part-time. My availability is in the mornings and evenings during the week. On the weekends I am available at any time! Depending on the week, I may be available more times! I am very mindful of dog’s behavior in the home. About: Hello! I hope this finds you well. When you book with me, you can rest assured you’ll be worry free! I bring a unique mix of veterinary experience and real world animal care. Before attending UCLA, I worked at a veterinary clinic where I administered medications, assisted with post op care, and handled pets of all temperaments. I’m comfortable with everything from kittens to senior pups. Growing up on a farm gave me hands on experience with dogs, cats, cattle, horses and a wide range of animals, so nothing fazes me. I focus on keeping pets calm, safe, and happy while providing owners with regular updates and peace of mind. My schedule is flexible. I adjust my schedule based on your pet’s needs. I’m an early riser, and I’m willing to wake up even earlier if needed. Routine medications are also available upon request. Safety is my first priority. I double check that all doors and gates are secure, keep a close eye on pets during outdoor time, and follow feeding and medication instructions precisely. Trust is everything, so I’ll ensure that you feel comfortable leaving your pet. I aim to keep pet(s) active with at least 3–4 walks or play sessions per day (adjusted to their needs) so they stay happy, healthy, and relaxed while you’re away.

I am a Tuscaloosa local so I will be available during all holidays, university breaks etc. I do own one dog names Snooki who is turning 10 this year. She is use to new dogs staying at our home because we perviously fostered for local area rescues. Please feel free to send me a message with any questions you may have.
About: I am a loving dog mom who views pet care as a privilege rather than a job. I have three dogs of my own and have been taking care of pets basically my whole life. I want people to feel they can be absent without being missed while I keep their pets happy, healthy, and entertained at their home or mine. I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to keep your pups entertained and cared for whether it be house sitting, walking, stop-ins, or boarding. Can board anytime of the week as long as pet is crate trained (crate is provided by me). I have a fenced in back yard with 3 friendly dogs to keep your furry friend entertained. Dogs are more the welcome to run around and play inside my home as well. I have lots of toys and lots of energy. My dogs and I love going on walks just as much as we love cuddling on the couch watching movies.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
