“Destini is an awesome pet sitter! She doesn’t mind doing the dirty work that sometimes comes with the job and she loves the snuggles with the pets. She took great care of our dogs, one of which had huge seperation anxiety and left her messes each visit. I apologize again Destini. I recommend her! Thank you again for taking such good care of our babies!”

“Rebecca was a wonderful communicator and kept me well updated on my dog while I was away. She went above and beyond to love on our pup, and we are truly grateful for the care and attention she gave!”

“April was great to work with. She reassured us that our cat would be well taken care of while we were out of town, and she sent photos and videos during each visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her to pet sit again anytime.”

About: Hi, I’m Madison! I’m a very experienced and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals of all kinds. I foster dogs regularly from the local shelter, which has given me hands-on experience with different breeds, personalities, and special needs. I also participate in Metro’s dog happy hours, consistently taking dogs on walks and helping them build confidence and social skills. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own — with patience, attention, safety, and lots of love. 🐾💕 I currently babysit two little girls on weekday afternoons. I pick them up from the bus at 2:30 PM and care for them until 5:30 PM. During that time, I’m still able to do check-ins, drop-ins, walks, and care visits for pets if needed. I’m flexible, organized, and good at managing my time to make sure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. In my home, pets have plenty of space to feel comfortable and relaxed. I have a large backyard with lots of room to roam, explore, and play safely. I make sure they get regular potty breaks, exercise, fresh water, and lots of attention. I follow feeding schedules carefully and keep a close eye on behavior to make sure they’re happy and healthy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their routine and environment. I stick to their normal schedule for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), and playtime to help them feel secure and stress-free. I also provide updates and pictures so you can feel confident your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Both of my dogs suffer from separation anxiety, and she did everything she could to make the both of them feel comfortable. She sent daily updates with photos at each drop in to let me know how they were doing!”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
