About: I’m a neonatal and critical care kitten and puppy foster mama and the founder of a rescue (Your Local Fur Mama). I board out of my home to help with some of the costs I incur from rescue life. I only take a very limited amount of dogs at one time (usually 2 or 3 tops) because it’s important to me that they feel at home. My husband and I both WFH and all our boarders get to hang out with us around the house, sit on the couch and snuggle, etc. rather than the typical boarding scenario where they are kenneled a majority of the time. Our kitty boarders get their own private room equipped with window perches, cozy beds, a litter box, food and water bowls, and lots of toys. Each room has feliway diffusers and a white noise machine to help with any stress and anxiety from being in a new place. I also have extensive vet med experience and am well versed in medication administration both oral and injectables. If that seems like it might be a good fit, I’d be more than happy to chat! Both my husband and I work from home with very flexible jobs which allows us to spend quality time and give individualized care to all of our boarders. My husband and I both WFH and all our boarders get to hang out with us around the house, sit on the couch and snuggle, etc. rather than the typical boarding scenario where they are kenneled a majority of the time. We have a fully fenced in backyard.

“Our Corgi just LOVES staying and playing with Elaina! She can't wait to get into the house when we arrive to drop her off. Elaina is so flexible and understanding when we need to book on short notice or drop-off/pick-up outside of the booked times. Hannah comes home exhausted (good thing!) and we feel very comfortable leaving her in Elaina's care! Already re-booked twice and will be booking again in the near future!!”

About: H! I am an RN who works from home with a very flexible schedule. I’m a single mom to two teenage girls. They will be helping me out at times with the animals in our home, but they have been fully responsible for their own pets (from hamsters to their own cat and dogs). We all absolutely love animals and have cared for dogs from tiny (2 pounds as adults) Chihuahuas to Malinois to almost 300 pound Mastiffs. I’ve taken in and found homes for nearly 100 dogs and cats over the years and I am taking classes to become a professional dog trainer. I love my job as an RN but animas are my other passion. Our animals are not owned by us, they are our family. We are their guardians. When you come to our home, you will know animals live here. That is not because of the smell (we keep our home very clean), but because everything is set up for their unique needs. I specialize in tiny dogs as we have 6 chihuahuas from 2 pounds to about 5 pounds… then our big guy who is 10 pounds. 😜 I am very in tune to our dogs and have made it my mission to create the most enriching life possible for them. Our home is set up for tiny dog safety. We are careful and aware at all times of where they are. And we know how to meet their unique needs. Although my own dogs are tiny, I have had plenty of bigger dog experience in the past. I care for several of my friends’ dogs (Doberman, Malinois, Corgi, Boxer, Great Pyrenees, Mastiff, etc.) when they are out of town. I prefer to take in smaller dogs simply because our home is not large enough to accommodate a large dog well, although I may make an win a case by case basis. We do also have a cat and I feed the neighborhood strays, but my cat experience is less extensive. When you bring your pet to us, they will be treated like family. They will be a part of our day to day lives. They will sit with us on the couch (if you are okay with this) during movie nights, go on walks with us every morning and evening (and more as needed), they will go in car rides if they like them and you approve, and more. I’m available 24/7/365 as I work from home. I am a nurse with many years of experience working with several types of animals. Regular potty breaks and lots of snuggles will be available around the clock. I have a good sized back yard and your pet is welcome inside or out according to preference. I live in a neighborhood with safe walking areas for daily and more stimulating exercise. I enjoy trail running and there are many nearby trails for dogs with higher energy. I work from home and have several dogs of my own so your fury family member won’t be lonely.

About: I have been a pet owner and a pet lover my entire life! My parents gave me my first dog when I was 9. I respect animals as much as I respect people. Although animals dont have a voice, they have feelings. They want to feel they are loved! I have had my maltizu Dezzi for 11 years! She is my baby! I will care for your baby as I do my own! I am experienced with care, walking, bathing, and administering medications. Give me a chance and you and your pet will be satisfied! I am a full time nursing student. I am very flexible as I work from home and attend school online. I will be able to attend to your pet at all hours of the day. I live in a town house and your pet can roam freely amongst my home as my own do. I can also crate your dog if its needed. I live in a quiet small downtown community with a dog friendly park walking distance from my home! Your pet will enjoy the nature scenery and fun walks.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats and farm animals for the past 6 years for other people, and have had many animals of my own. I currently only work a few hours a week, so I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies any time of day! I take them out for potty breaks, feed, and play with according to their schedule throughout the day. On a leash, since I do not have a fence at my home.

About: I am a huge dog lover. All dogs, No matter the size or breed. I have always had dogs I currently have three Labrador retrievers. I know what it’s like to have to leave them and it’s worth the peace of mind to know they are being well cared for. I will care for your pets the same way I do my own. I have a large house and a large yard and lots of great places to walk. I can have them at my home or come visit them and play with them at yours. I have cared for pets that are recovering from surgery. I am good with dogs from puppies to senior dogs. I love walking so my dogs get to walk a lot too. I would love to care for your fur baby so you can have that peace of mind to enjoy your time while you away from them. I am a stay at home mom who is looking to fill some time. I have a very flexible schedule. I am available to have dogs here at my house or I can go to your home. I am available for drop ins, walks, and play dates. Whatever you need. Nancy & Stan J.
Star Sitter

“My dog had a GREAT experience staying with Nancy. I was going on a weeklong trip and wasn’t sure what to do with my Yorky. I had put him in doggy daycare before and he had a bad experience with that. He has anxiety when I leave him, but leaving him with Nancy was the best decision. He had plenty of room to walk around. He felt safe and was well loved. She and her family were home to love on him and the pictures they sent me were comforting, knowing that he was receiving great care. She took notes for his schedule and likes and dislikes. And the best thing was that when I came back to pick him up, he acted like the same dog and wasn’t anxious as he had been before.”

Linlin W.

Abigale M.
“Leaving our pup with Abigale was the best decision we could’ve made. She treated him like one of her own — daily snuggles, couch hangs, and constant love. We got photo updates and could tell he felt right at home. Not a single kennel in sight!”

Jeffery K.
“Scott has always been compassionate towards my animals. He takes really good care of them and makes sure that they have what they need. Also, he treats my animals as his own.”

Christie J.
“Christie is an awesome fur mommy and dog lover. She cares for her pets as though they are extra children. They are well-dressed little dogs too!”

Staysha F.
“My wife and I use Staysha for our pet needs when we are away. She was very professional when she did the first home visit. She was on time and offered flexible availability. Our dogs took a liking to her right away. You could tell she has passion for animals. We trust her with the keys to our home to come and go as needed for our dogs to be walked and fed while my wife and I are at work. She sends pictures as she come and goes, and also sends photo updates of our dogs playing. I highly recommend her!”

Katelyn S.
“I have 7 dogs, breeds and ages vary from 4 weeks to 10 years old. She was very flexible with last minute time changes. They all have all different nutritional needs and took them on daily walks every time I go out of town. I have a 4 week old puppy that has to be bottle fed 4x a day. I have a cat and she kept all of the water bowls full and kept the litter box clean. She has amazing people and animal skills, and was very kind and respectful to me, my animals, and my home.”

Michele L.
“You couldn't find a better person to trust your dog's care to than Michele. She loves her dogs and will treat yours like her own. You will not find a more honest person to give access to your home as well as care for your dogs.”
