About: Since the beginning, friends and family have often come to me when they need someone to pet sit! I have dogs and cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well taken care of. I genuinely love spending time with animals and would be happy to give your pets the same care and attention I give my own! Ive recently moved to Birmingham so my schedule is currently open. Preferably, I hope to be consistently available in the afternoons and early evening. But as of now, I am available all day! I care for pets in their home by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention and affection! I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have for your pets and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. At this time I do not provide boarding services.
“Julithza is new to us but we love her already! She came to meet Norbert before the first walk and was very communicative during the whole process. She sent great pictures from the walk. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Frankie goes above and beyond when carrying for my fur babies. I was out of town when Frankie came to care for my dogs and not only were my dogs completely taken care of, but Frankie also made sure my house was secured after each visit. I was always well informed of my dogs care and needs after each house visit / dog walk. Frankie followed all of my directions completely and even applied hotshot spray to my dogs backs because of their seasonal allergies. While I was away on travel, I had absolutely no worries about my fur babies! Frankie will always be my number 1 choice for dog walking and house visits!”

You can also be assured that I will take good care of your home. Overnight dog sits include at least one walk a day unless otherwise specified or the weather prevents it. I am comfortable administering medications, including injections. **Depending on your needs, I may not be able to provide constant care on Wednesday nights, as I have an 2.5hr evening class, but this is my only other commitment I am self-employed, so my schedule is extremely flexible and I am avaliable for constant care for an additional rate. Most of my exercise comes from walking dogs, so I am more than happy to take the long route if your pooch is up for it! I have experience caring for dogs and am comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and following specific routines and instructions. I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, love, and care while you’re away. I work as a pediatric nurse, so my schedule varies throughout the week and gives me availability on many weekdays and weekends. On my days off, I have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and keeping your pet company. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior and will carefully follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and household instructions you provide. I respect each pet’s individual routine and personality and will make sure they receive safe, loving, and dependable care in their own environment.
About: I've taken care of dog's since I was 10. Friends and neighbors have trusted me to walk (dog parks or just around neighborhoods) and feed their dogs. I had a leopard gecko when I was 12, I've had fish, cats, turtles, and multiple breeds of dogs as well so I'm pretty well rounded. I currently door dash so I'm pretty much free throughout the week. If you have a specific schedule you would like to work around just let me know and we can work something out. I am attentive and and engaging with the pet so they will not be left unattended. If there are specific requests made from the client they will be met
“Leah was amazing! She was quick to respond and able to fit us into her busy schedule last minute. Our puppy, Willow, loved Leah from the start. Leah made sure to care for Willow as her own and give us many updates and pictures. I could not recommend Leah enough!”

About: Growing up I had experience with a lot of types of animals, from cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, cows and horses. In my adult life, I have had a lab mix and have had 4 boxers (3 currently still in the home) and a siamese mixed cat. I learned a lot about dog behavior when I got my first boxer through training, and feel like that has helped me with other dogs too. Two of my current boxers are seniors and they take meds so I am familiar with those types of things and my other one is 8 months old so I am currently also in the puppy phases as well. I do have a full-time job. Evenings and weekends are the best time for me on some days. I often work from home later in the week so I can be flexible those days. I am definitely open to chatting about options. I will keep my calendar up to date based on my availability. If your pups are coming to my house, I have a fenced in yard. I do have a pool, but I go outside with all pups for safety reasons. If your dog loves to swim let me know! I also have a quiet neighborhood for a nice leashed walk. I do have a lot of stairs so if you have a senior dog that has mobility issues my house might not be the best option. If they go out on a leash this would be less of an issue b/c I can take them for a walk out front. I crate my puppy when I am gone, and can crate your dog when/if you would like me too. I would like any special instructions about medications/food/behavior etc that are specific to your pets. I would need any specific instructions for your in home stays with your pets.
About: I have lived with cats my entire life and currently own five of them. When neighbors or family members are away, I occasionally take over to make sure they are well fed and treated. Experienced with many different types of cats; this includes kittens, aggressive, wild, neurotic and/or disabled cats. I have college in the mornings Monday through Thursday, but I'm free the rest of the time. If there are any sudden inconveniences with schedule then I will notify as soon as possible. (Additionally, my name is Kuvo, but Lydia is fine. Your pet is my priority, so I hope a name will not disturb the service provided.) There are certain times for engaging with cats and certain times to provide them with distance. I hope to prevent stress while also giving them the proper attention they need. I am never too far and know where they are.

About: I've had or taken care of pets since I was little. I have a house of 5 pups myself of all different shapes, sizes and personalities. Wallace(Pittie), Paco(Weenie), Fig(Frenchie), Eli and Brooks(Twin Frenchies). I've had dogs range from small to large all my life. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to check in on your fur babies. I can provide check ins, house sitting, walks and in some cases keeping your pets at my house(depending on temperament) I try and stick to care at your house as I have 5 pups of my own(super friendly), but if we did a play date to make sure they all get along your pups would enjoy a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run around.
About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned, cared for, and spent time around dogs of all different sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities, so I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s individual needs and energy level. One of my favorite things to do is take dogs on long walks. I genuinely enjoy being outdoors and staying active, and I’m happy to give higher-energy dogs the exercise and attention they need. I’m also comfortable with dogs who prefer a slower pace, shorter walks, or just some extra companionship. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog. I’ll treat every dog in my care with the same patience, attention, and respect I would want for my own. I work full time, but much of my work is done from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attention, walks, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. I’m also available for longer walks before or after work and can adjust my routine to match your dog’s normal schedule as closely as possible. I don’t have a fenced-in yard, so dogs in my care will always be supervised when outside. I have a walkable neighborhood where I can provide regular walks and exercise, and I can also visit a nearby dog park when appropriate for your dog. I’ll follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, routines, crate use, and interactions with other dogs so your pet stays safe and comfortable while in my care.
About: Hi! I’m Danielle. I’ve been taking care of animals for most of my life and have been pet-sitting for about 17 years. I also grew up on a farm, so being around animals has always just been part of my day-to-day life. I’ve worked long-term with a family who has four senior beagles (one is blind), so I’m very comfortable with medications, routines, and dogs that need a little extra patience and care. Your dog will stay in my home and be treated like part of the family. I have a large fenced yard where they can run and play, plus a covered area for shade when it’s hot (which, realistically, is often). I also live about a mile from a dog park if your dog enjoys getting out and exploring. I try to keep things as close to your dog’s normal routine as possible—whether that’s lots of playtime or just a calm place to relax. Every dog is different, and I adjust to what they need. I’ll keep you updated while you’re away, and you can trust that your dog is safe, cared for, and getting plenty of attention. I work a typical Monday–Friday 9–5 schedule, but I’m able to stop by during the day for potty breaks, medications, and check-ins. Before and after work, your pet will get plenty of attention, time outside, and interaction. Weekends are more flexible, so I’m able to spend more extended time with pets in my care. Every other weekend, my 5-year-old is with me—she’s grown up around animals and is very gentle and comfortable with them. My home is very pet-friendly and pretty relaxed. Dogs are welcome on furniture if that’s what they’re used to, and I try to keep their routine as close to home as possible. I have a large fenced yard where dogs can run and play, plus a covered area for shade when it’s hot. I keep a close eye on pets when they’re outside and make sure they’re always safe and comfortable.
About: Having grown up with animals most my life…I pride myself in the ability to comfort and love your furry friend… Even from a distance. My special skills, are soft skills… Meaning that I work best with slow warm-ups for any anxious pets. But also, I’m ready for any high energy animals as well. I go to school, and work during the weekdays… But have a giant break in the middle of the day, for any pet care. Weekends work best for me. Making sure to adapt to whatever the pet owner, and pet need. Whether that means space, or extra attention… I can be that in-between person you request. I also pride myself on attention to detail… So will notice any change in behavior, or care necessary.

My fiancé And I love training and exercising with them every day and they push us to be the best we can be. They bring so much joy and happiness to our life. I have 5 years experience pet sitting for friends and family as well. They are the support system that told me about this app. Work from home but it’s not very demanding. Extremely flexible schedule. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
