“Casey was great watching my two cats while I was gone for over a week! Very easy communication and she sent me so many photos which was great for my peace of mind. My cats warmed up to her so quickly and the photos she was sending me cuddling with the boys made me know my cats were well taken care of while I was away. I’d recommend Casey to anyone looking for someone to watch their pet while they are away, thanks Casey!”

“Dina was great! We asked her to come over to help us train our pups with greetings because they are normally very shy, but they both took to her immediately. She's clearly a dog person, and our dogs knew it! Thanks again, Dina!”

About: I have had pets my whole life, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and a hamster. I also worked at the Lexington Humane Society for over 4 years, as kennel technician and a full-time vet assistant where I cared for all of our animals and livestock. I have been a dog and kitten foster parent for over 3 years. I foster failed my 6th foster dog 🤭. I have experience with crate training, leash training, and basic obedience training, as well as training in emergency and senior animal care. I have a strong understanding of dog body language, experience with canine introductions, and have experience with medication administration. I have a passion for animals and would love to help care for yours! I am currently available most mornings, afternoons, and evenings as I am taking some time off of work before transitioning into human medicine. I am available for drop in visits or boarding in my home, both during the day and overnight. My own dog is crate trained, but spends his time free roaming in my bedroom while i’m away. I have a large crate available for use if needed. My dog loves other canine friends, so if you would like a companion for your pet, there is space for playtime in my home. Otherwise, I would be more than happy to travel to your home to spend some time with your fur babies! (Dogs will be kept separate if left unattended in my home). I do not have a yard, but have plenty of grassy areas and walking trails nearby for your furry friend to get some exercise!

About: I have had animals in the house my entire life. I have always had at least four growing up to sometimes six ranging from cats, dogs and guinea pigs. I currently have a cat of my own here at college who i adore. I am a college student at ETSU. This summer I am spending it in Kentucky where I do work part-time. Schedule does vary but I can make sure your animal is fit in and taken care of properly. I have a cat who has her own litter box, fun little toys, food that she loves, and always my company. With other people’s animals I consider myself to be very caring and loving towards them.
About: I have been caring of a variety fur babies since I was a kid. I have experience with working with both younger and older fur babies. I am currently working full time while coming my masters online in counseling so I do have flexibility with working overnights. If need more availability please contact me. I have a fenced area at my apartment complex for dogs if needed. I have a variety of teats and toys for cats if needed.
“Laura was great, I had her let out one of my fur kids and she was flexible when I needed to push something a little and sent pictures so got to see the kiddo some during the day. She also did the simple but important little things like making sure he had water which I appreciated.”

About: Growing up, I took the most responsibility for caring for our family German Shepherd. Her name was Daisy and I was responsible for teaching her how to sit and stay, we went on daily walks when the weather was nice and even though she was considered a family pet she was mine. I do not have training skills past basic household tricks but I have plenty of love to give. I don’t have much of a set routine at work. I am technically full-time, but my schedule varies drastically from week to week. This is why I have my booking two weeks in advance so I can plan accordingly. Other than my job, I am a homebody. I do love being outside and going for walks/hikes when the weather is nicer. I’m very courteous and if you leave specific instructions for your home, I will follow them to a T. As for my own home, I have two cats that have free range over every room. I have no plants at all (let alone anything that would be dangerous for animals), a water fountain that’s plugged up for continuous running water, and three litter boxes throughout the home. I am more equipped for cats when it comes to toys, scratching post/cat trees and treats.
About: I have always had at least one dog growing up. I started watching dogs (walking during the day or while babysitting) at 10 years old, and house-sitting by 15 (overnight at the dog's house). My childhood dog started receiving daily to twice-daily insulin injections by the time he turned 12, so I am comfortable giving injections. I also have had to give dogs pills orally. My current dog, Wesley, is particularly finnicky about treats, so if he has to take a pill I had to wrap it in wet food and hand feed to him - if your dog is the same way, I am used to "prince"/"princess" dogs :) I have watched my friends' dogs in Denver and it's been great! I am open to having them at my house (preferable for sitting during the week since I have work) or at your place. My job allows me to routinely work from home depending on my schedule and I am located in Littleton (near Chatfield and Ken Caryl areas). When I’m working from home I’ll be able to let the pup out throughout the day, as well as provide love and attention. If I am going into the office, I am usually away no longer than 9 hours. I’ll be sure to walk, play, or do whatever to make up for my time away! I’m pretty laid back with dogs and don’t get really upset if there’s an accident in the house, as I know they can’t help it. However, if there are certain words or commands you use for certain behaviors, please let me know so I can be consistent with your house. The same goes for walking - I usually am firm and keep the dogs on one side and close to me. If you have a certain side you like your dog to be on or words to use while walking, just let me know and I'll incorporate! I will attempt to make your dog's stay as home-like as possible by keeping their schedule, saying certain words/commands, and giving them lots of love and attention! I'm a very flexible and easy going sitter. If I am in town and you need someone last minute, I'm open to that. Have a question? Feel free to reach out and ask! I am currently taking a break in my career and just finished up my “adult gap year” traveling :) while I figure out what’s next, Rover is my main gig until further notice! I like to know what the typical schedule is for your pet so I can try and keep things as normal as possible in their routine. I also like to keep the pet parents updated with texts, especially pictures, to keep them comfortable and knowing their animals are getting love and attention.

About: I’ve loved dogs my whole life and currently have three of my own. Eli (10) and Luna (6) are rescue dogs who have taught me the importance of patience and understanding every dog’s unique personality. Nimbus (2) has been with me since he was a puppy, so I’m experienced with both energetic young dogs and older companions. After nearly 10 years as a USPS mail carrier, I’ve also learned a lot about dog behavior and body language from meeting dogs of all personalities every day. I know how important it is to approach each dog calmly and respectfully. I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I’ll care for them like they’re part of my own family while keeping you updated along the way. I work full-time as a USPS mail carrier and typically finish my route between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m., giving me plenty of availability most afternoons, evenings, weekends, and many holidays. Rover is a great fit because it allows me to spend even more time with animals while providing dependable, personalized care for pets in my local community. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or some extra attention while you’re away, I’ll treat them like one of my own. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, whether that’s feeding, medications, walks, playtime, or simply providing companionship. I’ll always treat your home with the same respect I’d expect for my own, making sure doors and gates are secure and leaving everything just as I found it. You’ll also receive regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: After experiencing the tragic loss of my own cats due to a negligent pet sitter, I became deeply committed to providing the highest level of care for all animals. That experience taught me how vital it is to entrust pets to someone who not only understands their needs but treats them like family. I specialize in senior pet care, offering compassionate support for aging pets, including administering medications, managing health conditions, and providing gentle, tailored exercise routines. I also have experience training puppies, helping them develop good behaviors early on and ensuring they have the structure they need to thrive. My focus is always on building trust and creating a safe, loving environment for your pets, so they feel comfortable and secure when you're away. Above all, I aim to offer peace of mind to pet owners, knowing their animals are in caring, responsible hands. Available almost anytime in Lexington and surrounding areas contact in advance is recommended but we can take last-minute calls depending on the situation and what not. Also I work with you budget! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clintonville. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
