About: I grew up with a himalayan cat, and after she passed I begged for one of my own. My own cat is now almost 10, and stayed back with my parents when I moved to Lexington for school. He roams on acres of land and loves his life. Since moving to lexington, I worked at the Lexington humane society for 4 years as a kennel technician and a veterinary assistant. Through my time there I gained experience with cats of all ages, ranging from bottle babies to fospice, as well as cats of all temperaments. About: Growing up, we always had a couple of outdoor barn cats that loved to hang around. I wouldn’t say that I am specifically a cat person or a dog person, I’m a mixture of both. About: When I was around four, I started to go across the street and cat-sit for this empty-nest couple. They were older, and so they wanted to travel more. The lady owned two cats, a Birman and an Oriental Shorthair. The lady used to take them to cat shows, and they were her most prized possession. They had grandkids to see and wanted to explore as many different countries as they could. They used to say, "Maggie, you are so convenient, and I am glad that you are here so we can leave and do things that we love more often." My mom never once told me to go and do my job. I woke up and was ready to go see Bootsy and Bella. They moved when I was 16, and I was their sitter until the day they left. I realized that for people to do the things they loved, they needed an easy, stress-free, and affordable sitter for their animals. Anyway, I started a show kennel for my Italian Greyhounds because of her, and now this is my full-time gig. I run a full-time boarding and daycare facility at my house. I am open for boarding and daycare 7 days a week. I own show dogs, and so I am home training and working on my websites while the dogs have multiple areas and an outdoor fenced area to play. I work on my computer for 3-5 hours a day and play with and walk the dogs while I rotate in between that. I take lots of pictures during the day and have an instagram that I post them on. The dogs rotate among the kitchen, the basement, and the outdoor enclosure. All dogs have access to water 24/7. The outdoor enclosure has a roof, and I run a fan when it is hot, in accordance with USDA guidelines. If the weather is bad, I walk the dogs or just let them play together in the basement or kitchen.

About: Growing up, I took the most responsibility for caring for our family German Shepherd. Her name was Daisy and I was responsible for teaching her how to sit and stay, we went on daily walks when the weather was nice and even though she was considered a family pet she was mine. I do not have training skills past basic household tricks but I have plenty of love to give. I don’t have much of a set routine at work. I am technically full-time, but my schedule varies drastically from week to week. This is why I have my booking two weeks in advance so I can plan accordingly. Other than my job, I am a homebody. I do love being outside and going for walks/hikes when the weather is nicer. I’m very courteous and if you leave specific instructions for your home, I will follow them to a T. As for my own home, I have two cats that have free range over every room. I have no plants at all (let alone anything that would be dangerous for animals), a water fountain that’s plugged up for continuous running water, and three litter boxes throughout the home. I am more equipped for cats when it comes to toys, scratching post/cat trees and treats.

About: Ever since I was a baby I have had a dog in my household. As soon as I could get a dog of my own I got Bentley, my German Shepherd/Coon Hound mix. I adopted him at only 6 weeks old back in 2020. Growing up neighbors would ask me to cat sit when they were on vacation which included changing litter, feeding, and playing with the cat daily. Additionally, I have been asked to help walk dogs and to house sit in the past! I live in the Hamburg area and work full time at the University of Kentucky. My traditional work hours are 8am-5pm M-F with an hour lunch break. I would be willing to carve out time in my lunch to walk or care for pets. I do not work weekends, and have the most availability to care for pets during that time! I am extremely trustworthy and will abide by any rules you have for your fur baby. I am experienced with crating, and have no concerns with helping to put your animal back in a crate after caring for it. My fur baby, Bentley, is also extremely dog friendly so if your animal needs socialization with another, I could provide that! Unfortunately, due to the nature of my living environment I cannot board myself as I live in an apartment.

I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. In a client’s home, I respect their space, keep doors secured, follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and fresh water. I also like to send updates and photos so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away.
About: I have been caring of a variety fur babies since I was a kid. I have experience with working with both younger and older fur babies. I am currently working full time while coming my masters online in counseling so I do have flexibility with working overnights. If need more availability please contact me. I have a fenced area at my apartment complex for dogs if needed. I have a variety of teats and toys for cats if needed.
About: I’ve owned dogs and cats since I was a kid my family loves animals. I dog sit for family friends and have taken care of animals as veterinarian tech. I’m currently a student at UK and take a mix of online and short in person classes. My schedule is pretty relaxed as I don’t have classes everyday of the week. When I do have class I’m home a lot between classes and have time to check on animals every 2 hours. I live near campus so I can take your pet on walks around campus or to the park. I live in a pet free and smoke free apartment and can easily crate your pet if needed.

I also worked at the Lexington Humane Society for over 4 years, as kennel technician and a full-time vet assistant where I cared for all of our animals and livestock. I have a large crate available for use if needed. My dog loves other canine friends, so if you would like a companion for your pet, there is space for playtime in my home. Otherwise, I would be more than happy to travel to your home to spend some time with your fur babies! (Dogs will be kept separate if left unattended in my home). I do not have a yard, but have plenty of grassy areas and walking trails nearby for your furry friend to get some exercise!
About: I have raised and been around pets since my childhood. I can care for pups all Breeds, all sizes, and ages. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs, aggressive breeds and dogs recovering from surgery. Also have good skills with cage training and pad training puppies. In my home I have two fur babies of my own that get along well with others of all breeds and 3 large crates and dog beds if needed for your fur child. I live less than 2 minutes away from Jacobson park where I normally take my pup for walks and runs. I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of playtime for your pups. I won’t be away from home no longer than 4 hours at a time. I work for myself doing cleaning and instacart orders so my schedule is pretty flexible I live in a 3 bedroom home with a fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. I also have a spare room for any pups that may be recovering from surgery or don’t do well with others. My mother periodically visits my home and enjoys playing and spending time with the dogs as well

Besides the cute pictures, Andy sent me a picture that showed Nate feeling relaxed. Frankly, I was glad Nate still wanted to come home! Andy understands dogs, has an appreciation for the variety of normal dog behavior, and really does love dogs. His daughter also really loves dogs. Although I found Andy through Rover, a mutual friend confirmed that he’s a dog lover and would trust him with her dogs. Knowing that we had mutual friends was literally an answer to prayer.
