“When we needed a sitter last minute on vacation Emily came to the rescue and was one of the best dog sitters we have ever had. Emily sent pictures through the day, followed all our care instructions and loved our baby like we do.”

“Kristin took great care of Wren for a week while I was out of town. She sent pictures of Wren playing with her dog, going on walks, even dressed up for Halloween! I felt completely comfortable with leaving Wren in her care.”

“Andrew is the best sitter for senior pups. I travel a lot for work and i know Marlo is well taken care of when Andrew watches him. Cosmo is an amazing pup friend to Marlo.”

“Madison was amazing!!! Ranger is a very energetic pup and he had the best time with her and her dogs. She worked with all my requests and sent tons of pictures. I would give 10 stars if I could!!! I will definitely recommend her.”

“I am so thankful to have found Melody. My dog, Opal, took to her right away, and she LOVES being over there for daycare and overnight stays. The times are super flexible, and I’m thankful to have someone that loves my dog as much as I do! I get pictures and videos on how Opal is doing throughout the day. Definitely the best dog sitter in Lex!”

“Natasha was a good communicator and sent pictures of our girl while we were away! She took our golden on walks and played with her. She also was a huge help to us by picking up and dropping off our golden when we had early/late flight times. She was a huge help and we felt great about leaving our Honey girl with Natasha!”

“Ashley was absolutely amazing. We reached out on extremely short notice for an overnight stay for our deaf, likely vision-impaired, fearful bully mix puppy, and Ashley and her family welcomed her into their home with open arms and all the chew goats she could imagine. They have several amazing dogs of their own, which ended up being such a great experience for our puppy. She was able to socialize, play, and experience all the normal puppy things we hoped she could have in a safe and loving environment. Honestly, I think she may have been more comfortable there than she is at our home! She did so well there. Their house is incredibly dog-friendly. Their dogs are clearly part of the family, and they gave our puppy so much patience, love, and reassurance even though she can be nervous, unsure, or reactive at times. Their backyard is basically a dream setup for dogs, with room to relieve themselves, run and play safely. I got so many updates and photos of my dog smiling and having an amazing time with their pups and getting naps. She had such a good time! I truly cannot recommend Ashley highly enough. We will absolutely choose her again and again. Thank you so much, Ashley, for taking such wonderful care of our girl with special needs, Pearl.”

“Ann took excellent care of my dog, Max! She ensured that he got plenty of playtime, and sent me plenty of pictures and updates daily. She even surprised me by giving him a good bath! She also kept him an extra night when I got stranded at the airport. She certainly has a passion for caring for dogs.”

“Fantastic as always. Hardy comes home worn out every time lol and when I drop him off he doesn’t even tell me bye, just runs straight in to start playing. This is how I know he loves coming over :) Thanks for always taking such good care of my baby!”

“My 4 month golden had so much fun and had amazing socialization at Nancy’s!! She was good about sending pictures when asked and was quick to respond to any questions! 10/10 would come again”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for many years and have experience pet sitting for multiple families, including drop-in visits and overnight care. I’ve cared for cats regularly over several years, watched dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. I also volunteer through Doggy Day Out at the shelter, where I help walk and socialize dogs, and I grew up with a family dog, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I enjoy walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience incorporating caregiving and pet care into my daily routine and enjoy creating consistent schedules for feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. I am organized, dependable, and make it a priority to ensure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. My schedule allows me to provide regular walks, check-ins, enrichment, and quality time, and I always work to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel at home. I spend a lot of time at home and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and consistency throughout the week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress. I make sure pets have fresh water, are fed on schedule, and receive plenty of attention, enrichment, playtime, and companionship. I prioritize safety by keeping doors and outdoor areas secure, being attentive during walks and potty breaks, and cleaning litter boxes as needed. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel informed, reassured, and connected while away.
“Amber was wonderful to work with! We needed a last-minute dog sitter and she was great - responsive, caring and sent photos of our dog throughout her stay. If we're ever in Lexington again, we'll certainly be giving her a call!”

“Megan takes such good care of Sophie! Sophie is on more meds now that she’s older and Megan is so good about asking any questions and keeping up with the medication chart. We were unable to fly home after the Caribbean air space was shut down and Megan kept Sophie even longer until we returned. We appreciated it so much. We will definitely book with Megan again!”

“We went out of town for a week leaving our one year old Bulldog with Nef. He came to meet our dog and even accommodated transportation. My dog is very picky on who she likes however it was love from first sight. This was the first time we had to board our dog and now we have our go to person for life. Thanks Nef for the outstanding service!”

“Erin and family took great care of our Lucy Lu. Our dog is old and takes a bit more care than most dogs, as she is deaf and on medications. Erin kept us up to date on Lucy’s weekend and share pictures. We will definitely be calling again when we need doggie care. Thanks Erin!!!”

“I definitely wanna give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Dina, she has been super amazing. The moment I think about my Dog, I am already getting a text that she is doing exceptionally well. I was so nervous to drop off my puppy to a stranger. But Dina has made me and my wife worry free. I definitely recommend her, and I will 100 percent use her again for future pet sitting. Also the pictures she has sent me of my puppy every single day, has been nothing but amazing to see that my dog is doing so well. Thank you so so so much. I will recommend her to anyone.”

“Our puppy had a wonderful time staying with Ana and her dog, Mia. Ana was an excellent sitter very accommodating, communicative, and easy to work with. We felt completely at ease and would happily book with her again.”

“We love Chelsea! She is so great with our cats and also checks to see if we need the mail/packages brought in and took out our trash while we were gone, which is so thoughtful!”

“I was quickly at ease with Debbie taking care of my cat for an extended period of time. Her love for animals is evident, and I’m thankful that my cat received the love and attention he is used to while I was away.”

“Joseph was amazing! He went above and beyond for my kitties! He even vacuumed the bathroom because they got litter everywhere. I felt so comfortable leaving my girls ? in his care! Thank you, Joseph!!”

“Casey was great watching my two cats while I was gone for over a week! Very easy communication and she sent me so many photos which was great for my peace of mind. My cats warmed up to her so quickly and the photos she was sending me cuddling with the boys made me know my cats were well taken care of while I was away. I’d recommend Casey to anyone looking for someone to watch their pet while they are away, thanks Casey!”

“Dina was awesome! She provided written and detailed updates, along with photos from each visit. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to leaving my kitty, but I felt much more at ease being away, knowing that she was there caring for her! Will definitely seek her services again!”

“Phillip was amazing with my kitty Scooter. He took care of her while I was away for a week and I was astonished at the magic that he worked on her. She is a sweet girl that can take some time to warm up to people, but he got her to play with him in no time. I will definitely be booking Phillip again the next time Scooter is in need of a sitter, and I highly recommend him for any other cat owners in the area.”

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after them, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and learning their personalities.
“Kayla's oversight and care of "Jones" was all, and more than I could have ever hoped for as a new "Rover" client. Even though Jones proved herself to be a bit of a 'skeerdy cat' and may have tried to throw Kayla a few curves when Kayla was attempting to locate Jones during her first drop in visits, Kayla persisted, taking time to make sure that her charge was always both well fed & watered but 'present and accounted for'. It was this attention to detail and persistence by Kayla shown in the twice her daily texts with photos from of her drop in visits that gave me the confidence I needed to fully enjoy my long delayed Christmas respite with my geographically distant family. I would commend Kayla to any Rover customer who is seeking a compassionate, competent and caring caretaker for their pet. Robert, with Jones' kitty paw of approval also”

“Came home to a happy, healthy cat! Laura was great, she took care of my high maintenance, wild child while I was away even though he's a handful. Came home to a clean house, and she was nice enough to bring in my package from outside. Loved that Laura kept me updated daily, as it was my first time leaving my cat after recently getting him and the fact that he's an escape artist (she had no issues with him on that front though!), so I was a nervous cat mom. I'll definitely be in touch next time I need a cat sitter. Highly recommend!”

“I could tell how much Isabella loves animals and was completely confident that she would take the very best care of my baby girl. Willow was in good hands and I will definitely book Isabella again.”

About: Growing up, we always had a couple of outdoor barn cats that loved to hang around. I wouldn’t say that I am specifically a cat person or a dog person, I’m a mixture of both. Since being on my own, I have adopted two lovely ladies being Bean and Peanut. Bean is a quarantine kitty and loves to cuddle, meanwhile Peanut is more standoffish and loves her personal space. Whatever personality your cat has I am prepared for both.

About: I have been caring for cats my entire life! I will do all in my power to ensure your pets are safe and cared for. I prioritize safety and caution at all times, my own cats are indoor cats with chips, AirTags, and name tags with my name and number on them, I absolutely do not mess around and will be so cautious in ensuring their safety and protection. I have experience dealing with cats with all different types of personalities. I think it is so important to meet kitties where they’re at and respect their boundaries instead of trying to get them to adapt to what you want. I have never met a cat I didn’t like, so I am so excited to meet your kitty!

About: My mom always had cats so I grew up knowing how to take care of them, then when I interned at a vet clinic and volunteered at an animal shelter I got even more experience.

About: After experiencing the tragic loss of my own cats due to a negligent pet sitter, I became deeply committed to providing the highest level of care for all animals. That experience taught me how vital it is to entrust pets to someone who not only understands their needs but treats them like family. I specialize in senior pet care, offering compassionate support for aging pets, including administering medications, managing health conditions, and providing gentle, tailored exercise routines. I also have experience training puppies, helping them develop good behaviors early on and ensuring they have the structure they need to thrive. My focus is always on building trust and creating a safe, loving environment for your pets, so they feel comfortable and secure when you're away. Above all, I aim to offer peace of mind to pet owners, knowing their animals are in caring, responsible hands. Available almost anytime in Lexington and surrounding areas contact in advance is recommended but we can take last-minute calls depending on the situation and what not. Also I work with you budget! I have a park near me and I do take my own dog to the dog park every chance I get via Lyft and plenty of toys for your fur babies!

“Ollie had a great time! Brent sent pics and was a great communicator! If we're back in Lexington, we will definitely have Ollie stay here again!”

“Debra was wonderful! I have one dog who is very anxious and she was so patient with him to make sure he was going to be comfortable in a new environment. She has a wonderful fenced backyard which was important to me as my anxious dog doesn’t do well on walks. I will definitely be using her again.”

I will love and care for your pet(s) like my own. As for more about me, I am originally from Kentucky, and I studied music, specifically opera, all throughout college. I am a singer, actress, model, chef-in-the-making, fitness guru, social media influencer, artist, writer, and much more. I enjoy meeting new people and animals, and my greatest goal in life is to help as many others, human and animal, as I possibly can! I am able to check in as early at 9am, and as late as 9pm. I often have my children with me, and they either wait in the car or join us for walks in their stroller. About: Ever since I was a baby I have had a dog in my household. As soon as I could get a dog of my own I got Bentley, my German Shepherd/Coon Hound mix. I adopted him at only 6 weeks old back in 2020. Growing up neighbors would ask me to cat sit when they were on vacation which included changing litter, feeding, and playing with the cat daily. Additionally, I have been asked to help walk dogs and to house sit in the past! I live in the Hamburg area and work full time at the University of Kentucky. My traditional work hours are 8am-5pm M-F with an hour lunch break. I would be willing to carve out time in my lunch to walk or care for pets. I do not work weekends, and have the most availability to care for pets during that time! I am extremely trustworthy and will abide by any rules you have for your fur baby. I am experienced with crating, and have no concerns with helping to put your animal back in a crate after caring for it. My fur baby, Bentley, is also extremely dog friendly so if your animal needs socialization with another, I could provide that! Unfortunately, due to the nature of my living environment I cannot board myself as I live in an apartment.
“We are so blessed to have found Maria to walk our dog, Aria. She's been walking Aria 3-4 times a week for a year now, and she loves Aria like she's her own. I could not speak more highly of her. We love, Maria!”

About: I am pretty flexible around my work schedule with caring for dogs, I can find a way to make sure your dogs are a top priority in my daily schedule. Since my work schedule does range, I will keep my availability updated. I have always taken care of my own dogs and other people’s almost my whole life since I was a preteen. I absolutely adore getting to know other dogs and giving/receiving love from them. I’ve been training with dogs since I was 11 years old in basic manners, tricks, and agility, so I am experienced in training puppies and younger dogs. I am always up for learning more about other dogs and their personalities as well. They are such intriguing and beautiful animals. I make sure to walk dogs before and after work. Dog park a few times a week. (If that’s in their routine) And lots of cuddle time! Brushing and brushing teeth are weekly tasks normally. I ask for the pets’ normal routine. This way, it is less stressful on them that their routine doesn’t change as much with their person/people gone.
About: Growing up, I took the most responsibility for caring for our family German Shepherd. Her name was Daisy and I was responsible for teaching her how to sit and stay, we went on daily walks when the weather was nice and even though she was considered a family pet she was mine. I do not have training skills past basic household tricks but I have plenty of love to give. I don’t have much of a set routine at work. I am technically full-time, but my schedule varies drastically from week to week. This is why I have my booking two weeks in advance so I can plan accordingly. Other than my job, I am a homebody. I do love being outside and going for walks/hikes when the weather is nicer. I’m very courteous and if you leave specific instructions for your home, I will follow them to a T. As for my own home, I have two cats that have free range over every room. I have no plants at all (let alone anything that would be dangerous for animals), a water fountain that’s plugged up for continuous running water, and three litter boxes throughout the home. I am more equipped for cats when it comes to toys, scratching post/cat trees and treats.
About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 8 but began house sitting when I turned 16. I have experienced taking care of dogs, cats , horses and even chickens. while looking after your fur babies they will be given excellent care as if they were my own. A love to photograph animals so with my care come a free mini photoshoot. With your permission of course! My 1 year old black lab absolutely loves to play with others. So if your pup needs a buddy to burn off some energy she’s your pup . I work 6:30am to 2:30pm but I’m free the rest of the time to do pop in or walks. If I’m staying at your house I bring in my own food and drink. And stay with your fur baby the whole time. If I’m in home sitting I do a minimum of 3 30 min walks a day. 1 before work ,after work and before bed. And depending on your fur babies energy I’ll add in extra play time if needed. I’m stuck to strictly feeding schedules so whatever time you have them eat I’ll make sure to do they same. To help keep them in their normal routine. If I’m doing a drop in I can go walks /runs for about an hour unless you need me to take them for more time.

About: Hey there! I am a pet/animal lover and enthusiast. I would have all the animals in the world if I could. I currently have 1 dog, Kash, and 1 cat, Darla Jean. Animals and caring for them are my life! Here’s my why: My grandmother lost her husband at a young age. She never dated again. She took in dogs and taking care of those dogs became her life purpose. Growing up, I would always want to visit my grandmother so that I could stay up all night with her and take care of the dogs. It became our thing. I feel that I am now living out my grandmother’s purpose by fulfilling my own purpose in giving unconditional love and care to any animal that crosses my path, just as she would have done. I love animals, and quite honestly, more than people, haha! I look forward to meeting, loving on, and caring for your fur baby as if they are my own. ❤️🐾 I am a special education teacher full time, but my toddler and myself love to show unconditional love to animals by taking care of them like they are our own. I get to do what I love as a part time “side hustle” plus also show my little boy of my own how to treat and care for animals plus teaching some responsibility! I’m available evenings, most weekends, and most holidays/ school breaks. It says on my profile “no children in the home,” but since I started Rover, I have had a baby and there is a 2 year old in the home. I tried to edit that info but literally cannot find it anywhere. Just wanted to make sure that was said though. Anyway, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own child. I like to meet with my clients face to face first so that I can get to know not only their fur baby, but their expectations in caring for their pet. I’m a great listener and follower of directions, so if you tell me exactly what you need, I will do my very best to make that happen.
About: I have taken care of many animals that range from hamsters and ferrets, all the way to Dogs cats and birds. I love all animals and love to be a helping hand. I have successfully trained 3 puppies in the last 1 year. This includes potty training and basic commands. Whatever you need for your pet’s well-being, I am here to help. I am currently a stay at home Fiance and am also a part time student. So I have amble time to care for pets in my daily schedule. I do have a fenced yard that is about a half acre large. so there is plenty of space for the pets to roam free and have a great time outdoors. I live in a ranch with my fiancé.

“She’s amazing, so glad she came to the rescue last minute. Very bright cause I really didn’t know where I left the leash, or poop bags, but she was a savior today. Thank you so much! #recommend”

“Amber was wonderful to work with! We needed a last-minute dog sitter and she was great - responsive, caring and sent photos of our dog throughout her stay. If we're ever in Lexington again, we'll certainly be giving her a call!”

“Brian clearly treated our beagle very well! He gave her plenty of exercise (which she needs), and kept us appraised on how she was doing. A very good caregiver, all in all!”

“Kelsey was awesome with my Great Dane zeke. He usually has a rough time at boarders when he’s in a crate and won’t eat, drink etc. Kelsey went above and beyond to make sure my big guy was taken care of and comfortable. He went on walks, car rides and even had a heated mattress cover on him.he is worn out.i would use her again and advise anyone to use her. She will go above and beyond to make sure your pets are comfortable.”

“Laura was great with our pup! She was accommodating with our drop-off and pick-up times, sent a thorough summary of how he was doing each day, and included photos. Definitely recommend!”

“Alex and Martha are great! Communication is excellent. They spent a lot of time with our dog and she had a blast playing with their dog. We were worried about leaving her with a sitter for the first time but we had absolutely no issues at all. Will definitely use them again for our next trip!”

“The communication, photos, and care have been great. We can trust that our dogs will come home happy, which is especially important for our older anxious girl. I’m pretty sure our girls are just as happy and comfortable at their house as they are ours .”

“Addie is fantastic!! We met her twice before we left town just to be sure things were all set— and our dog loves her. We were flexible about where she stayed with our dog- her house or ours- because we were gone for 16 days. She did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable with her. She sent pictures, responded quickly to texts, and Levi’s know how everything was going. Additionally, Addie is a genuinely nice person who is driven in her work as a dancer. We were very impressed with her. We are looking forward to many more trips, knowing our dog is safe and well loved in our absence.”
