About: Ive been doing Rover now for almost 2 years and it has brought me so much joy and new friends! I worked a summer at kc zoo and it was the most fun job I have ever had. I've had dogs and cats my whole life. Also around horses from my uncle. I have adopted all of my animals from shelters. I love my dogs and cats like they are family. I have a teenage son I have to keep out of petco or any other animal place otherwise he wants to bring all the animals home, joking but not completely untrue. It's how we ended up with our Kitty Maisey. We even took care of the class's bearded dragon over spring break during Covid. He will come along on visits if available as he is the animal whisperer and wants to be a vet. Our 2 dogs are Dottie (our adopted covid pointer mix pup who is the sweetest girl and loves to have visitors to play with), and Marley who is our very sweet, laid back senior dog. Both our pups were rescues. Marley is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks so we sre familliar with giving medications and making dogs feel safe and comfortable. Dottie is allergic to something during the late summer and September month and takes medicine for that allergy at that time. We believe in treats but only rawhide free and dental bones. Please bring your own food and treats and let me know if you prefer not to share our treats. We also have 2 cats that are used to dogs and in fact think that each dog is their mommy since we got them as kittens and have an attachment to their respective dog mommy. You will even find cats and dogs snuggling together on the bed. Or Moose playing with Dottie in his tunnel. I have had animals with special needs from a diabetic cat that I gave insulin injections to treating animals with special needs. I live right down the street from a great dog park here in belton. We would love to take any new friends to visit. Please let me know if you prefer them not to go to the dog park and we can stay here and play. We have a fenced back yard but one side is only 4 ft. I work from home as a director so I have a very flexible schedule. My son does play competitive soccer so sometimes weekends have us at soccer field for about 2 hours. I have a fenced yard 3 sides are 6 foot privacy and one has a 4 foot chain link. I follow my client's care directions in their homes.

About: I am new to Rover & this area, however I am not new to this field! I have been in the veterinary field since I was 14 years old. I started with kennels and caring for the animals and then moved up to veterinary technician. I am still currently employed as a virtual technician/receptionist. I currently have an Alaskan malamute and two kitties that I’ve raised since they were only weeks old so I have experience with puppies and kittens. About: Hello, How it all began. I grew up in a rural setting with multiple dogs, indoor and outdoor cats and for a few years chickens. One specific dog named Maxine was a beautiful intelligent, gentle Doberman that stole my heart. The bond I shared with her was special and she was my best friend. I knew from a young age I wanted to take care of animals. Fast forward, I'm a parent to 3 active kids, 2 sleepy cats, and 2 dogs (Pablo & Van). Over the past 10 years we've had a guinea pig, dwarf frogs, a hamster, and a Betta fish as well. A few years ago our family fostered 11 sweet dogs and 2 kittens. We have done in home care for a friends pup when they went out of town. My oldest daughter and I volunteered at the Lawrence Humane Society in the past for a year. Our big family of animal lovers would love to care for your pet. I work from home each week. This gives me ample availability to care for your pet. My husband is also available multiple days a week and our two high schoolers are usually home in the evenings each day to give extra snuggles to your pet. We have a fenced in backyard. The back fence wall is a 6ft privacy fence, the side fences are chain link. They will have access to the backyard at any time.
