“We have left Stella with Sarah twice. Once for a day and again for 4 nights. She was great and sent us many pictures of Stella. We would highly recommend her based on our experience.”

“Darcy was well taken care of by Shannon and her family. She had lots of attention and fun playing with their children and dogs. There is a nice big fenced backyard with plenty of room for running and exercise. We received lots of pictures and updates throughout her stay. We highly recommend Shannon and will book her again soon!”

About: I am very good with dogs, because I pay attention to their body language. Dogs communicate through their eyes, body and barks. Similar to a person using sign language. Most communication is non-verbal and I definitely pay attention and make sure I treat every furry friend with respect and love. Dogs have feelings and like to socialize in healthy environments and that is what they will get with me as your dog sitter and / or dog walker. I will take your dog walking, I will check-in on your dog and play ball or tug of war with them, if that is what they like to do, I will provide water refills and food refills, even mix food upon request and follow instructions specific to your dog's need. I like to take dogs to the park, go jogging with dogs, belly rubs, hugs and playful affection. I like making dogs feel important, so they know they matter. This way, they feel happy and fulfilled while you are working or away on vacation, or away for that day or moment running errands. I am currently an entrepreneur. Trying to start my own pet business. Served, previously in the United States Air Force. Used to have an emotional support dog for 14 years who is no longer with us due to old age and health problems. That was my peace and joy who helped me through difficult times in my life. I actually feel happy spending time with dogs. Running with dogs, playing ball with dogs, training dogs, walking dogs, dog sitting and playing, cuddles and hugs! I make dogs feel important because they are our fur babies who deserve the best life can give them! I will give your dog fresh water, food, medication; if necessary, pay attention to their body language to figure out what they need from me to feel more comfortable and supported. If you have instructions or a routine I will follow those set of guidelines. I will keep all owners well informed with updated photos and possible videos on how their fur babies are doing! If they need a bathing that is extra, but I will clean your dog thoroughly after playtime. If, you want me to take your dog to the park, I love doing walks and runs in the park with your fur baby! Get all the extra energy out, so when you come home they are well satisfied and content. I have a house and a yard. Yard is not fully fenced in yet, but currently working towards fixing it or getting a new fence. My house is dog proof to keep all fur babies safe and happy, but there are always other options available to keep your dog as comfortable as possible. Depending on the service you hire me for pertaining to your pet.
“Butterscotch was in great hands with Brooklyn! She treated my corgi shiba like her own, and I loved receiving regular photo updates. Butterscotch felt right at home with her, and I couldn't have asked for better care. This was my first time using the Rover app and I’m so glad it was a wonderful experience for my puppy and I. I would highly recommend Brooklyn for future bookings and for anyone else interested in a pet sitter!”

“Our puppies (who have lots of energy) were well taken care of during their stay with Cecily. Our one puppy has anxiety and we appreciated how comfortable Cecily was taking care of her. Cecily made scheduling and pick up/ drop off easy. We would definitely recommend Cecily and will be rebooking in the future!”
“I would recommend John and Michelle to anyone looking to board their dog for any period of time. My dog can be anxious and they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable. They were immediately responsive when I reached out and provided fun updates throughout her stay. I look forward to using them in the future.”
“Anjaliben was an excellent host for my fur babies Bear and Chubbs. From our first meeting I knew that I made the right decision with how welcoming she was. Bear and Chubbs were calm themselves for being with someone besides our family. This was a first time boarding experience for them and I. Medication was also given without any problems. I would highly recommend Anjaliben for her services that she provides. Bear and Chubbs have found their second home for vacations away from home.”

“I highly recommend Yajaira!! She was warm and welcoming and treated my dog like he was part of her family! She communicated with me often and sent pictures!! I will definitely be using her again😊”

“OMG! Alyssa and Marcus were amazing!!! It was Sam's first time being away from home. I was super nervous because he can get a little anxious and I didn't know how he would adjust to being away from home. We thought about it over some time and Alyssa and Marcus were able to accomodate our plans last minute. Before the reservation was even finalized, they were so helpful and reassuring. They kept me updated throughout his stay with so many pictures and reassurances. It really put my mind at ease. Sam had such a good time with Zara, Alyssa, and Marcus...I think he was upset he had to leave! I can't imagine sending him anywhere else. I definitely weill be booking with them again.”

“Kristine is absolutely the best! My dog had a fantastic few days in her care—I could tell she truly enjoyed her stay. Kristine was wonderful about sending daily updates and pictures, and she truly spoiled my little dachshund. I recommend her and will definitely be rebooking!”

“I recused an 11-year-old Westie. He came to me with separation anxiety and you could see why it was hard to leave him. I’ve had him a year now and every time I leave him the little dog panics he is getting much better so I decided to go away for six days and try to find a good dog Sitter so I could plan other vacations I remember finding Laurie last year but she was booked so I tried her again it was like leaving my precious Charlie with a family member. She has a Labradoodle Duke that they got along so well I think that helped Charlie adjust to be in separated. I don’t think he ever got home sick , she took such great care of him. I can’t say enough I would give her more than five stars if there were 10, she was so excellent with my Westie and he was so good and relaxed. Every day she sent me pictures I almost was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home , Laurie I will be back and I know Charlie will be happy to see you”

“Thanks Annette and Martin for giving our Brody such great care while we were on vacation. It was good to see all the video's and pictures, and we could see that Brody was in good hands. We will definitely use your services again.”

“Look no further if you're browsing for a second home for a furry family member. Diana was able to take my standard poodle last minute after we figured a heat wave would be too much for him to endure over a long camping weekend. We have resorted to only booking places like airbnbs that are dog friendly because he would get SO stressed out (and even refused to get out of the car last time we brought him to a reputable kennel in our area). It was terrible because he's a VERY easy going and happy guy. I could tell he felt at home at Diana's because he was his usual calm and composed when I came back to get him (unlike at the kennel where he would go bonkers and be beside himself to see us again) and he settled right back in at home like nothing, not at all like when he would come home after staying at the kennel where he's completely out of sorts for a good couple days. He obviously had a very pleasant, stress-free stay--a vacation for him as well as for us! Diana offers a home away from home, so if you're looking for a doting, dependable caregiver for your pooch, you've found just that place here, I can assure you.”

“I have never had better place to leave my sweet Apollo, he had an excellent time! Kelsey & Conor were sending updates and images constantly. I would highly recommend them!”

“Marcia was amazing with our Harper! She sent photos and was very responsive with texting. Our girl came home exhausted from having fun. We can't wait as she will be back for 2 more visits this summer. It is wonderful to not have to worry about your baby while you are away.”

“Another great stay with Beth. She takes such good care with our girl and frequently keeps us informed of how she is doing. Gina seems to feel very comfortable at Beth's and makes herself at home. We couldn't ask for anything more.”

“Kavya and Adam are the best! Ever since day one they gave done a great job and making sure Ghost is well taken care of in their home. I absolutely adore them and any chance I get to have them watch him, I take it! Friendly and communicative ❤️”

About: I do offer boarding at my farm. I only take up to 2 dogs at a time. We do a few walks everyday around the 8 acres. They get plenty of yard time. Every dog gets a specialized program with me and one Free training session. Does your animal need meds? No problem. If I can syringe a horse, I can handle a cat or dog (and have) I also LOVE cats. I have had a many cats in the last 28 years. House cats, barn cats, baby cats, old cats. I currently have 2 cats that were ring worm kittens from Paws. I finished up their treatment and adopted them. I can wrangle a barn cat that’s 1/2 feral to go to the vet or get it’s flea/tick meds. Don’t count me out if you have cats! They like me as much as I like them! I have taken care of pretty much any house pet from rats, to ferrets, parrots and snakes. I have had many tropical fish tanks too. Horses, cats and dogs are not my limits. As long as I’m not previously booked, I will be able to accommodate you. It never hurts to ask. I try to stay pretty close to home so I can fit in as many visits as possible but I do have great transportation. I keep safety in mind at all times. I am always aware when I’m walking a dog and will not let them mingle with other dogs or people. I always make sure water is fresh and plentiful. I am very cautious to avoid and loose animals. Your pets health and care are my career and my number one concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
